(( I go off of L. J. Smith's werewolf in her series Night World for Silver so...))
Were are born, not bitten. I don't know where that myth came from. >>She follows his gaze out the window and smiles<< We're not very agressive, but when we do fight I wouldn't want one of my enemies to become one of my kin. I think there would be even fewer were if it were transferable by bite. We're also not allergic to silver and we can change whenever we want, though there is a stronger urge to during the full moon. >>She says to dispell the other myths of her kind she has heard<<

(( I am a nice werewolf ^.^ ))
>>They had by this time reached the door. And I don't mean the door to outside the castle. This one was set in the wall and had a dial set with many different colors<< And this is how you get back to the ground. Here. You turn the dial to the blue and it'll take you to Narean, this one takes you to Miterion, the green's to Lythus, and the last one takes you to Sezaria. >>She points to the different colors as she speaks<< And you just turn it, like this >>she takes a hand and just turns the outside of the circle<< See?
(( If you've seen Howl's Moving Castle it's just like his door ))

Ontaros steps through the door in the main hall and offers his hand back through it as if to help someone through. He waits patiently for Tryan to come through and he hopes that everything works out well. There weren't a very large amount of people on the Spelljammer, but the few there were might be a few too many and he hoped that Tryan would be alright with everything.

OOC: Seen it, enjoyed it, haven't got it yet.
BIC: *Dragonbait steps back quickly. After SilverFang's explanation of the door and how it worked, he'd been reaching for the dial to give the arrangement an experimental glance. Now, though, he suspects touching it might be a bad thing ... especially since Ontaros seems to be coming through leading someone.* And apparently, this door gets quite a bit of use, eh?
*As he has absolutely no idea what's going to come through (and, from his dubious assessment of Ontaros's sanity, there's really no idea), he positions himself between SilverFang and the door, urging her back slightly. It's probably quite safe, of course, but ... *

Ontaros looks over to his side when Bait speaks and see's Silverfang as well. He says nothing, he doesnt even make any movement other than looking back to Tryan, encouraging him to come inside. Though the mage doesnt make a move Bait and Silverfang clearly note a strange field thats about them at the moment and from inside that field Ontaros's voice is heard. "I appologize but it was quite the chore getting this one to trust me and I'm afraid that seeing new faces right from the get go might end up a bit disasterous, so if you can hold tight just a moment, we'll move to another room, or at the very least i can shut the door."

OOC: this is not at all the same Tryan as before - this one is much truer to his original character and design, so if you hadn't seen the bio I posted, you may want to have a look. And hello ^ ^ If this interferes with any of your characters (like if y'all are the same version of 'Bait and Silver from OSHE/KSF etc, and already know Tryan, I can change his name for here)
BIC: The creature that came after Ontaros was rather unique, as far as semi-successful cross breeds go. The thing was covered with dark brown, scruffy fur, had a feathered cat-like tail, wings too long and skinny to be of much practical use, and a face and lower extremities like some strange combination of bird, cat, and perhaps human... maybe. Moving on all fours, it cautiously stepped over the threshold and looked around. Both 'hands' - more like paws with long toes - were occupied, one with a staff and one with a few trinkets, making it a bit awkward to put his weight down on his front limbs. Sideling closer to Ontaros, he sat crouched, propping himself up with a fist on the ground, and the other clinging to his staff.
OOC: And I am online, I just turned change my status thingy to avoid unwanted PMs. I'll let y'all know if I leave.
edit: running some errands, be back in around noon PST

>>SilverFang gave 'Bait an odd look at being ushered back, but it went unoticed. Then they were shielded as a person came through the door. Silver was a little shocked at first, she'd never seen anything like it and didn't think she would again. She wasn't afraid or worried though, instead she felt pity towards this apparently skittish creature. She hoped she would be able to meet him and that they could become friends<<

Ontaros lets the door shut behind Tryan and he speaks his name to get his attention. "Tryan." He projects an image of two people over where Silver and Bait are both standing, showing thier faces clear as day. He tilts his head to the side wondering if that would be alright, of if there would be a negative reaction to thier presence.

Tryan Fidgetted nervously, his tail swishing slightly and his ears and eyes constantly moving to pick up any little sound or sight. He became still then, looking first to the door with some trepidation, then up at Ontaros at the sound of his name. It took him a few moments to process the thought, his ears laid flat against his head, but finally he decided maybe it wouldn't be terrible and refocused his own thoughts on the image Ontaros had provided for him. His ears swiveled to the front again, and he was smiling again, if you could call it that, the more mobile corners of his mouth slightly upturned and his beak like mouth parted slightly to reveal a hint of the sharp teeth that shouldn't be there. Occasionally, among the unorganized slide show of his thoughts, there'd be an image the man hadn't given him, but an imagined scene of Tryan's own, each time a little different, and fuzzy, but portraying the basic idea that the mage would remain.
ooc: so much for lettin' you know I was leaving. Sorry, got pulled away suddenly. Gotta go to the store real quick too. be back soon

Ontaros, with a flick of his wrist and a snap of his fingers litterally makes the barrier crack and shatter harmlessly around the two inside. He would have liked it if the visual were a little more subtle but, it got the job done. "Sir Dragonbait, Lady Silverfang, I'd like to introduce you to my new friend, Tryan..." He looks down to his new companion and then back to the others. "From what I can tell he doesn't talk, or at the very least is too shy to and he is a bit skiddish to say the least, so just take it easy around him if you wouldnt mind. I'm not trying to terrify him, I just want to help."

Tryan jumped a little at the snap, and his hackles rose at the shattering of the barrier. He crouched low again, though whether he was ready to fight or run away was a bit difficult to tell, if not hard to guess. All the same, he remained where he was, at Ontaros's side, and only turned his head to the side to eye the two dubiously, first on the left, then the right.

>>SilverFang jumps at the shattering of the barrier, but recovers quickly. She smiles and crouches down, putting her arms around her knees<< Hello there Tryan. As Sir Ontaros said, I'm SilverFang. It's a pleasure to meet you. Welcome to the SpellJammer, I hope you'll stay with us. >>She smiles brightly. If he didn't talk they'd have to think of some other way to communicate. She wondered if he could write maybe?<<

OOC: My char's basically the same (ever-so-slightly alt-U version), but I think it's safe to keep your name. I know how to play this.
BIC: *Tryan. I know that name from somewhere. Dragonbait shakes off the vague memory, at least for now; as long as his life has been, and as much travel as he's done, it's not surprising if he's encountered the same name more than once.*
*Besides, the creature before him bears absolutely zero resemblance to anything 'Bait's ever seen outside of a necromancer's sketchbook. He quickly assesses the creature's threat level and notes the staff, then bows slightly, never taking his eyes from Tryan's ... hands? Paws? He wants to avoid the face, at any rate; direct eye contact with animals can be a threat, and this one looks more animal than human. Then again, half the time, so does SilverFang and her crew.* Welcome, Tryan.
*Well, that doesn't exactly go over well. Having finally figured out how to operate the quill, he gently lays his fingers on a nearby piece of parchment and mutters.* Bowl of ground beef, medium rare.
I suspect speech will have to wait until this one decides we're not dangerous ... which may take a while. With luck, a little food will help along those lines. Ontaros? Lady SilverFang? Can I get either of you anything?
