"How have you been since the war?..." he whispered so the other little girls couldn't hear.... he didn't want them getting upset he stood there waiting for a reply from her...

Hiding around the corner behind some rubble. The 12 year old girl watched the two boys come in and drop a mattress on the floor and then one laid on it. She pulled her head back as she thought one of them saw her, so she backed up and tripped over some wood. the wood started to fall down on top of her. She became pined. She let out a little whimper.

"Did you hear that?" Shin glanced around instead of laying on the bed with Niku. He frowned as he looked out the window and the broken hole in the wall.

Niku pouted and sat up. Fine. Shin didn't have to lay with him quite yet. They could do that late, right? Right?! Niku crossed his arms over his chest and replied, "No I didn't. What was it?" he questioned, beginning to worry a little.

"I don't know." Shin peered more in the direction of the noise. "It sounded like some boards falling or something." He speculated for a moment before turning back to Nikui. "Want to go check it out?"

Niku thought for a moment, afraid it was perhaps a zombie. But comforted by the sweet smile on his best friend's face, he nodded and grabbed the other's hand. He smiled back and followed the other, right behind him the whole time.

The girl struggled around a bit trying to get loose but only got stuck even more. The boards were trapping her down at her waist and legs. Her head was right at the corner almost like she was somewhat peeking out.

"Shin, I think that's a little girl!" Niku shouted pointing at the girl stuck under the rubble, "Let's help her!" he shouted, dragging Shin with him, completely forgetting about his zombie theory.

The girl saw the two boys and struggled more to get loose and run. It only made more boards fall.

Shin and Nikui ran over to the trapped girl. Shin got there first and saw how she was struggling. He lifted one of the board's off and threw it to the side.

Nikui rushed over and helped Shin throw the boards trapping the girl away. He held out his hands for her, and said, "Come on, let's get you outta there!" he smiled cutely to show her he wasn't mean or anything.

The girl slowly reached her hands up to him, then she heard that more boards were going to fall, she tried to stand up and get to him fast, but the boards that were on top of her bruised her legs. So they hurt to walk on, she just fell to the ground 2 feet in front of him.

The little girl looked back as the boards started to come to her, her eyes went wide. Her mind went blank she couldn't move, couldn't think.

Shin jumped around and caught the boards before they fell on the girl. He grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the dangerous rubble.
