Natsumi was on her way home and deep in thought when three kids, tough looking kids, on motor bikes pulled up around her, and the guys started laughing. she looked up, her eyes filled with fear. "Wha-what do you want?!?"
"No worries, girlie...we only want to play..." One of the guys grabbed at her and she pulled away,"No leave me alone!" the other guy came forward and slapped her across the face, "now, you are going to let us play with you, or you are going to die."
Tears welled up in her eyes, "No! Please! leave me alone...all I want is to go home..."
"You can go home as soon as we are done with you!"
"No!" she screamed, grabbing her bag and getting away, or pulling away, but what she didnt realize was one of the guys had a knife and was trying to cut rope to get around her wrists, and stabbed her in the arm, as she tried to run. She cried out in pain as the blood rushed down her arm, and she ran to her door, but before she could get inside, she heard a gun shot,felt the impact and her breathing ahd become labored.One of the guys had shot her in the side, and they had then started laughing and ran off to find a way to get from the police, or to assult, yet another school girl. Knowing that her foster parents were still at work, she let herself in, clutching her side as she held back sobs trying to make her way up the stairs. She stumbled across the hall to her room, and she saw that Nyx was in the corner, sleeping and she couldn't hold up anymore. Thats when everything went black, she let out a little cry of pain and she started to fall.
((she lives in one of those areas where the occasional bad gang or two attack innocent girls....>.<))

It had been only a matter of time before all this would come crash down on him. Yes he had been sleeping and it was a deep slumber state he was in. Thinking about his brother who had died right in front of his eyes, it was a reoccurring nightmare he had grown accustom to seeing every time. His ears had twitched once he heard the door open slowly, only that slight of bit of noise woke him and he had no idea something bad had happened outside. Nyx had only opened his eyes for a second before they shot up wide and were right on the girl. Quickly springing up to his feet he bolted to her before she could have hit impact to the floor. His arms were wrapped gently around her back. She was bleeding pretty badly, not only on the wrist but also on her side. How the heck did this happen? Nyx hadn't heard anything while he was out.
Now in panic he held on to her thinking of what he was going to do. Nyx did have the ability to manipulate water but to what extent. Skimming through the memories of his past when he was taught certain ways of controlling water. There had been something that his mother had once explained to him. It had something to do with healing the victim to almost near death but it came with a cost. Nyx would have to bind her to him, which he was against since he wasn't ready to stay with anyone to protect and love. But since she had offered her kindness to him he had no choice in the matter.
Blood was beginning to stain his hands since holding close to where her wound was very dangerous. He got up, carrying her in his lean arms and headed to the bathroom. It would be the only place big enough to perform the spell.
Reaching there in time he place the young girl in the tub, already the blood had touched his clothes with it's coppery scent. Nyx turn the facet on letting the warm water spill into the tub, after it had gotten to her chest level, he turned it off and let his finger tips touch the light red water. He was letting his energy flow throughout the water before it gently touched the surface of her wounds.

Natsumi cried out as her wounds started to sting, and cried out, as the water touched her wounds. It wasn't long though, until the pain stopped, and she had her eyes open, looking at the water and gasping, her eyes then filling with tears as she remembered what had happened.
"How is it? I thought...I..." she started crying, terrified, "I'm so....scared....I can't go back out.....not with them out there....I don't want to die...." she looked at Nyx, the once cheerful happy girl with a somewhat sad past, now frightened and terrified, as if she was a newborn kitten. She was shivering, She finally talked to him, "H-How did I....I thought I was...dead?"

Chiri's mother looked at her like she was crazy. "Chirka hunny that's a tiger!" Her mother said, Chiri just nodded. "No if you don't mind mom i need to change." Chir rushed her mother out the door and went to her closet, grabbing a pair of pants and a shirt.
Edward laid down on the ground next to Chiri, resting his head on his paws.
"Edward would you like to go out with me around town?" Chiri asked, she laid her clothes that she picked out on her bed and looked to Edward.
Edward nodded, as he nodded he felt like he was changing.
Chiri's eyes went wide. "Edward?" she softly cried out, watching his form change into a boy.
Edward looked down to his hand and rolled his eyes. "No you choose to change when i didn't want her to know yet." He yelled at himself, he looked up at Chiri and stood to his feet. "I haven't properly said who i was!" He bowed, "I'm Edward and i am not of this world. I can change my form when i feel it's necessary."
Chiri walked up to him cautiously. "So your a human? Slash tiger?" she asked as she walked up in front of him, and stopping at his feet. She reached up to his face and touched his white tiger ears still attached to his head. She looked at his long silver black hair flowing down his back.
"They kind of don't come off when i change." He said as she held his ears. "Apparently when you show enough affection towards me i guess i change back with out meaning to."
"That's........SO COOL!" She squealed quietly.
"Oh, just to let you know i am not going anywhere. You don't deserve this life. Your father is an abusive drunk!" Edward said angrily. "Until he is gone or I am. I will stay by you to protect you! You shouldn't be treated this way."

The pool pf water she was in had glowed lightly of a silver color. He concentrated hard and kept his focus for this spell, because it was a very powerful one he wasn't about to screw up. Nyx opened the door in his mind to the reversed power he had in himself and let out full force. The glowing tub water started to shine like a the reflection of the sunlight. It was almost blinding to his eyes but he ignored since saving this girls life was more important. The blood had stopped bleeding and slowly started to close. It was only a matter of time before they were fully healed. Then he would have to work on reviving her back to life that would take part of his own life force.
Soon the wounds had turn to nothing but red little marks on her skin that would disappear later. Natsumi looked helpless and pale like a corpse as he watched her. She wasn't breathing and not even the warm water could keep her body warm. Nyx closed his eyes as he spoke in a language that only his race was familiar with. It was then that after he spoke the incantation he started to feel his life force being sucked out of him and into her. Color slowly came back to her face and then her chest started to rise and fall. Only a little while longer and he would be done, he just had to hold on for a few more moments.
Just as the last Natsumi body started to feel warm like any human beings body could, the spell stopped just as it finished Nyx could only clutch to the tub just to keep himself from collapsing. The water turn back to it's murky red substance and she finally awoke, but in pain or at least the pain that had been there for only a few moments. Scare and confused at what had happen to her he could only let out a snicker that felt pain to let out from his chest. "You were but I revived you."

Natsumi was shocked and she stared at him a bit, taesr flowing down her cheeks, "why...why did you save me?" she asked softly, "I thought...I didn't know if...since my birth parents hated me...i-if I was wanted...." she looked down at the water and almost freaked out at the sight and feel and smell of the blood, "I-Is that all...mine...?" she felt like she was going to faint. her face got pale, "Did I mention...I faint at the sight of blood?" she asked him meekly, trying as hard as she could not to collapse bak into the bloody waters.

Again a sadden look of pain had formed on her face and he for sure knew it wasn't from pain physically but mentally. He had just stared into her chocolate brown eyes never so once as to look away. The pain she must have felt in heart was so much that she wasn't able to hold it. Nyx knew if his parents abandon him during birth he would be in this similar state. But luckily he hadn't which made him feel all the more trouble she was crying in front of him.
Letting his now dry hand pull him up so he sat straight, he listened to what she said and noticed all color that was once their on her cute face was gone. Wait a minute did he just think she was cute? Ok now he was very worried. Nyx hand slid and let the back of his hand to touch her cheek before covering both eyes very gently. "Hold on." He let out a sigh as he summoned least amount of strength he had and leaned over to drain the tub. It took him awhile since he too was feeling a bit faint from the massive amount of energy he had used. As most of the murky water disappeared he slowly moved his hands away from her eyes. "Is that better?"
For once Nyx wasn't going to answer her questions as to why he helped her since he was to weak to explain things to her.

Natsumi nodded slightly, still a bit shaky, "I still feel like I'm gonna collapse...though...but...Thank you...." she said, looking at him. She then stopped, trying to stand, but still shaky. It wasn't long until she fainted from the sight, awakening not for a couple hours.

Well this wasn't surprising, he got the feeling that even after he disposed of most of the blood in the tub she would still have faint. Forcing himself to get up, his legs felt like rubber. God was he feeling very weak. Letting out a soft cuss, he took calm deep breaths before he bent over and pulled her into his arms in a gentlemen fashion. She was still dripping from water from head to toe. Nyx would need to dry her off with a towel before placing her on the bed. With a little sigh that escape his lips he moved with effort as he grabbed a towel that was on the rack and dry her of.
After that he carried her straight to her room. It would only be a matter of time before her parents would get home and notice that a strange man was in the house with their unconscious daughter and he would need to disguise himself as a panther again and hide somewhere in the house no one would find him. Placing the blanket on top of her so she wouldn't catch cold he went off to find a place to hide. Luckily his search was short once his eyes travel to the ceiling and noticed that that area was kept for storage. Quickly with the last of strength he climbed up there and quickly morphed into a panther after closing the entrance with piece of wood that had been originally place there.
Nyx laid on his stomach as he finally fell from exhaustion, he would find a out of this house after his strength was restored to him but till then he had to stay here and keep out of sight.

A couple hours later, Natsumi jolted awake. Her fear of the outside was growing, and she thought she had buried that fear long ago. Her foster mom came in, and saw her, worried, "Natsumi...do you want to go out...you look like you need it..."
Natsumi shook her head, frightened, "N-No...I don't want to go out...."
Her foster father came in, "What happened? Why are you so traumatized?"
"I-I can't...no...I don't want to go...I don't want to die...."
"George, what in all hells is she babbling about?"
Natsumi went pale, "Don't make me face them again....I don't...I can't...not alone...I don't want to be alone again..." she started sobbing, shaking.
"I don't want to be left alone again...."
Her foster parents sighed, "She'll get over it....Nat..there are leftovers in the fridge if you are hungry...We'll be out for most of the night..."
"I'm not hungry...I don't want to move..."
"Okay...just letting you know.." They shut the door and walked out into the night. Natsumi crawled off of her bed and onto her window seat, huddled up in the corner and sobbed as her fear concumed her, nightmarish images of what happened flashinbg through her head.
"I don't know...who to trust....I don't know...if I can hadle it out there again..."

Waking up from the sudden door shutting and a car from the distance starting up. Nyx stretch his feline body lazily like any big cat would. The parents were gone he assumed so he minus well get out of here while he still had the chance.
Changing back to his normal form he climbed out from the storage room and headed through the hallways towards the stairs. His mind was set to leave here and look for somewhere to hide without feeling worried or concern about anyone. But each step he took something in his heart seem weigh heavily and he hadn't known what it was. He looked down to the carpet floor but suddenly his ears stood up in alertness as he heard crying. Nyx turn to the girls bedroom and stared at the door for a few moments thinking if it was such a good idea to investigate what was wrong. This wasn't none of his business so why should he get into her life. I mean yeah he did save her life and now they were bound but their was no other connection then that magic he shared with her that flowed through her veins now.
Letting out a sigh he turn his body towards her door and walked to it, opening it lightly to look inside to see what was up. Yup he was being reckless again but he hated having guilt even if it wasn't something he did. Watching her from the door way he could only just stare since he had no way of comforting her.

Natsumi rubbed her eyes and pushed open her window. She climbed out and pulled herself up to the railing, and then pulled herself up to the roof to lay down. The wind was peaceful, and she wasn't worried she'd be killed either. She started to wonder if the guy who saved her was nearby. She sat up, looking up at the full moon and wished yet again, I wish I could find my soulmate...the one to hold me when I cry...protect me from danger...be with me forever....thats all I ask...
What she didn't know was within the magic bonding between her and Nyx, he could hear every word she was thinking at that moment.

He had turned away from the door and leaned his back against the wall. Things would be a lot easier if predicaments like this didn't happen so often. Letting his head hit the wall lightly a few times just to clear his mind, he suddenly heard a voice. It was a females of course but he had to around to see if someone coming towards. To his surprise no one was there, letting his brows furrow in a confused look the voice came again but this time the talking sounded more like the womens thoughts. A now the voice became very familiar to him. It was that girl, hearing her pleas for someone to comfort her made Nyx have the urge to hug her yet he wasn't too sure that would be a good idea. He'd decided to stay with her for a few more hours and have a short conversation that might lift her spirits a little. It was the least he could do since he didn't like seeing someone with that much innocence be hurt. This reminded him much of his brother.
Opening the door fully, he stepped in and noticed that she wasn't in her room anymore. The window she had been sitting next to was open and the curtains fluttered lightly as a cool breeze blew from outside. Nyx got to the window quickly and stuck his head out to check if she was outside and of course she was. Sitting on roof above her room. I guess this was a good chance to talk. Quickly grabbing a big blanket from the floor in her bedroom, he climbed up to the roof and sat a few feet away from her. "You ok?" He asked with a voice like coo velvet.
(( won't be on friday to sunday since i gotta leave for O'ahu))
