Would anyone consider a criminal based RP? Not science fiction. But a group of criminals with set goals, real world.

Way back before guilds even existed, I had an RP called the Black Rose Thieves.
It was Medieval-era style, and everyone was part of the band of thieves.
It bombed. Also, despite disclaimers, linking to an OoC thread, and reminders at both ends of the 1st post, people still randomly posted in the middle of the RP with, " Can I join? "

SL mishap.
Co-worker fired a ton of non-temp bullets and flooded the sky, taking up massive prim space. I told him to check the gun he's got and fix it while I clean up the mess.
