"Not entirely fair. You know that sometimes the simplest questions gleam teh biggest answers from Broog. his mind is childlike. And I'm curious as to this new found lack of sheer terror at going down below to the places that you wish where never built into this home. Something certainly perked your interest fiercely."
He knew just where she was most ticklish, though yes she wasn't overly so. but enough to make her squirm a bit and probably try and slap his hands away.
"You know you're a devious as a Tier'dal sometimes."

Indeed she was squirming a little, but still trying to push down the little bout of giggles that wanted to break the surface. He was trying to mess with her but oh did she love it just the same. "Oh yes, he's very informative when you say the right things, and he's still on my side though." Yes, she was letting him know that she had gotten some sort of information from him. "And there is no lack of sheer terror...do you know how long it took me to walk there, edging against a wall and humming songs in my head to try and drown things out? I still hate and wish to avoid it just as much as ever, and if I could purge this place of it, I would." Though a little shrug from her in that casual manner that was either used to entice or ignore. Though now her hands had gripped to his wrist in attempt to still his hand's motions some. A fond smile up to him from her laid back postition in his lap. "I try A'mael, I try." Said of course with a little chuckle.

She ran her fingers along the collar around her neck and thought back to what Piper had said. Why would anyone stay in that life willingly? Love or not, why would anyone submit to being hurt that way? Sevilin refused to do it, she had refused to condone it. They'd risked their lives to get away from it and now it looked as though Piper was involved in the same thing she swore she hated. How could passion cause that? There was no possible way. She had to know for sure but she was so afraid of hearing that she really did love Malik and it wasn't what she thought it was. She didn't' consider herself ignorant...but at the same time maybe things weren't as different as she'd originally thought. She shook her head, "I'll take my own risks thank you. I think we're finished for a while if not the whole day. Personally, I can' concentrate but if you still can, I'll come back." Thus she walked back inside stiffening slightly when she saw Malik. "Piper, you and I need to have a discussion, immediately." She refused to look at Malik, refused to watch those two together, it was so disgusting and it made her want to rip his head off his shoulders.

"Pick and choose as you please, I'll have no influence on the subject." And he stood there, arms crossed, and watched her walk away and back into the house, shaking his head lightly before turning it sightly to side glance the creature on his shoulder, letting a hand come up to pet his friend. "Out of Lloth's grace and into Her hands...wouldn't you say Nym? Though really...which is the worse place to be?"
All of thier little playful actions had come to a stop when Zahara had addressed Piper and she gently pushed Malik's hands away, sitting up in his lap a moment and watching Zahara before a hand came up to tug lightly at her collar. Sure, Zahara was her friend, but she didn't revel in the idea of being on the recieving end of her anger. Letting her collar alone and running a hand through her hair she set down her glass on the nearby table and slipped off of Malik's lap to stand in front of the drow. "Alright then, let us have one." Though she had the feeling she would be dragged off.

Zahara was not about to let what needed to be discussed, done in front of Malik. She shook her head, "Not here." Then she turned, shot an icy glare at Malik that told him exactly what would happen if he tried to follow and spun on her heel walking towards the stairs and finally went up them and into her room. She began to pace angrily, waiting for Piper, running over everything that had happened, everything that she'd seen and all the conclusions she'd drawn. Was she horribly wrong? But how could she be? How could Malik do such a thing and not be controlling her? Bruises to her meant immense pain, especially if they were visible. Piper's showed up because of her skin but it still took pain to cause them. And that amount of pain upset Zahara to a point of insanity. Now she was forced to wait for Piper to come in so she could confront her...but Sevilin was right. Telling her she was delusional wasn't going to get her anywhere.

Into the lion's den the brave wander. A human saying that she recalled at this moment. One look back to Malik before she started off after Zahara, heading upstairs only to come to her room and tenatively enter, shutting the door behind her once she was in the room, and leaning back against it, one hand idly coming to play with her halved ear for a moment. She was feeling self concious...then again tension often made her do that, not to mention this was surely about the way she looked. "Alright then Zahara...say your piece."

An ebony hand rubbed the smooth chin, a chin which would never wear a beard. The general looked at the fortress and considered his options. Option one, ignore everything and hope for the best. Option two, talk to Malik D'vinn and at least have some clue as to what is going on in Tara's head. Option three, consult one of the non-drow about option two...
This was a difficult choice. For the moment, he decided to receed into the shadows, perhaps today was not the best day to be talking to this drow.

The moment of truth had come and Zahara had no idea how she was going to express her worries to the surface elf she considered her best friend. She couldn't come off accusatory that would never bode well but she had to appease herself for her own peace of mind. "You spoke of love Piper, you spoke of undying affection and emotions that I had never experienced. You spoke of so many things that I yearned to feel. I felt many emotions back home, fear, anger, hate, disappointment, but never love. I never even believed it truly existed until you and I spoke that day. And then my heart was filled with such a thing as hope, another emotion I hadn't believed existed." She wasn't doing this very well now was she? Her pacing ceased and she came over and sat on the bed watching Piper for a moment. "Tell me the truth, do you stay with Malik because you love him or because you have to? And I don't necessarily mean that he's forcing you to, it could be your own mind that won't let you leave a truly dangerous situation."

Sevilin at this point was doing what Zahara often did, watching the stupid horses go about their stupid horse things. He hated horses...never really took a shine to them at all. Involved painful incidents with him but he'd rather not think about that. Though his attention was spiked, not only by that feeling of another there but also by an alerting chitter of the ferret on his shoulder.
He turned to the side, letting eyes glance around as he let his own senses pick things out. Not to mention little runics were in motion...not only had he done the fortress but the surrounding area...he wanted an exact count of how many were here, and there was one just added to the group. Thus out came predator mode in Sevilin. Though he smirked. He was quite pleased that his runing abilities put him on the informed side in this plane.
Piper was slightly confused at to all this but patiently and understanding as ever she listened as Zahara went about expressing herself. Though she only gave a shake of her head and a small smile...why was this such a hard thing for drow to grasp? "The truth? The honest truth is that I love him. When it comes to Malik, there's one thing that I have never felt for him...and that's fear. I don't fear him." She sighed lightly. "You're not the first to try and tell me that he wants nothing more to control me as he may please...you're just one in a long line that can't see what I see in him. And that's not your fault...he won't let you see that side of him." A small laugh, but not the happy kind. "He's had plenty of opportunities to hurt me Zahara, I've pushed hard and he's never hurt me, despite anything I may try."

The general sat down, might as well eat some rations, he thought. He wore a light, silk-like cloak which glissened rather brightly for a drow cloak, and rather ornate looking boots. His arms were covered wtih his mail, and a bracer decorated eatch forarm. He wore his hat today, the shin from Deep Water dampened his mood, and he used the brim to keep some of that nasty glow away. He had hated the sun, and was very thankful that he had never had to see it, not since that incident 1500 years ago. What a horrid place that surface world was, so gloomy and feastering with surface creatures, much like the dark these days.
But, with time, that woud change.
The only visible weapon that this drow carried was a thin stick, a wand really. It sat on the top of his left hip, somehow not falling from the belt he wore across his hips.
"I wonder if the blue skin has any survalience whatsoever?"

He was merely walking in the direction he was being told to go in by the force that he was so in tune with. Though for now his pole arm was kept at bay as well as his own little magics. It was foolish to jump an potiental opponent now wasn't it? No one liked to be run through with a sharp object of any sort.
Why was he stalking what was out there? Not for the sake of the fortress or anyone in it...but for himself. He always did enjoy the hunt and anything close that he didn't know about was a potiential threat. Sevilin for one, liked to make his life as stress free as possible.
Though he stopped as what he stalked caught his eye. Or at least some part ot it. Ears twitched lightly as he still his own movements, even his breathing to hear it all, and to hear over the noise of the Underdark. Movement of clothing and gear, slight sounds of chewing. Bold as any drow, he took full look around the natural corner that was formed by rocks. After all...any drow knew that while you played overly cautious, you could be in the line of fire and not know it.
But he frowned at the sight before him. Great, another drow.

Adjusting his eyepatch to fit nicely over his left eye, the drow decided to tak off his hat. His bald head was unique for a drow, as hairstyles were often used to distinguish nobles from nobodies, and clans from one another. But what use did a general have of such things, perhaps though, it would be more accurate to call his shaveness a rebellion.
"Scouting is your expertise, now isn't it spellcaster."

One hand grabbed hold of the tail of the furry black and silver creature that had leapt to go investigate this little find with all his little ferret heart. But he only dangled in the air by his tail in Sevilin's hold, keeping him at bay. But Sevilin's attention had never wavered from what he eyes were watching now.
"One of my more proficent skills, yes." He wasn't one to boast, merely spoke of himself and not highly of. Wasn't that just like him? For a moment her regarded the other.
"Do drow so commonly wander about on thier lonesome here..." A statement and a question all at once. For him it was a bit of culture shock. What was this, two now that seemed to be out of the pack of backstabbing comrades? Though he knew better than to assume this one was fully alone.

"Two types of drow wonder the dark alone. The ones that want to die, and the Ones that you should fear." Replied the general. "I am a firm believer that every spell can be used against it's caster." Jarlaxle stood up, and held his hands to his sides, writs towards the shadowy figure stalking him.
"Greetings, Shadow. I am Jarlaxle, of no house of any Importance, General of Dominia." A general would be more accurate description, and longest lived a more accurate assestment than any actual importance.

"Good way to class them, I would say." Though as he was setting Nym back to his shoulder her held back the slight frown at the follow up sentence. What was he implying with that? A warning? If it was, it meant nothing to one who knew things that couldn't be used or taken advantage od by just anyone. He was more accurately the rune mage than the spellcaster for a reason.
"A general without his army, again another sight for eyes to see." He guessed that out of sorts drow were better than a whole Llotian society. He's take the former of the two if he had a choice. But they were being fromal now were they?
"Sevilin Inthara...though you won't find the remainder of the House." being vague was nice sometimes, implied so many things really. Could be harmless, then again couldn't. "Do tell...what brings you to lurk near such a forsaken place as this?" Joke? No...he hated the damned place, so forsaken indeed.
