  @ Circea: Well? Get on that - find yourself a pair of oven mitts for all I care, you cannot let gloves stop you from picking up the best one(s)!

Mind you, some neighbourhoods are notorious for pumpkin smashings...

Nah, not down here, it's a pretty small community where I live, and where we get the pumpkins, so everyone knows everyone and no one dares to smash these people's pumpkins x] they can be real nice and sweet, but VERY harsh when they need to, we have been coming to get pumpkins from them for quite some time so we know them pretty well x]
I'll just handle the pumpkins with no gloves like I do every year, it hurts, but it's fun x]
