Snaking around caves, Valery finally found her targets. There were two Cubchoos playing in the mouth of one of the caves. She could make it out from the howling of the winds and their scent nearby She unhooked Becquerel's leash and grabbed Scratch's Poke Ball. Casually dropping it, the Blitzle crooned, ready to be used in combat. "Okay... Here is the plan. Focus on one. Bec, you Crunch it and Scratch... You use Flame Charge. This should be over fast." She grinned.
The Pokemon both nodded before leaping out of hiding and viciously attacking the nearest Cubchoo. Before the poor Pokemon had time to react, it was knocked out while its brother stood in sheer panic, it responded with a Slash to Scratch which did critical damage. Hearing the soft thud of the little bear hitting the floor, Valery smiled. Despite feeling bad over this, they would be fine later and this was just for practice.
"Repeat!" she ordered, making her way into the mouth of the cave. The second Cubchoo hit the floor, knocked out as well. Val approached the unconscious Pokemon and smiled, recalling Scratch. "Nick said I could catch a Pokemon... But which one should I catch?" she asked herself, standing between both little bears. Suddenly, she smelled something coming from within the cave... Something very angry. An enormous roar trumpeted, and the ground rumbled.
Valery's scream of terror pierced through the mountains as the Beartic that would no doubt find her in moments roared once again.

Upon hearing Valery's scream, Nick turned his back on Christian and began running in the direction of the source.
"Croco!" Zero chased after him, using Aqua Jet to keep up with him.
"Why didn't I bring Ted?!" He yelled at himself. The Staravia's Fly move would have gotten him to her in seconds, and this whole crisis could have been averted.

A piercing scream came from the direction that Valery had traveled on. He followed Nick to find its source.
He realized something that could possibly be beneficial. He took out Soar, his Tropius and said," Hop on Nick!"
He then whispered to Soar," I know this will be painful, but please bear with it. I promise you'll be rewarded."

Valery was no fool, and she intended on getting out of there as fast as she could. But Becquerel was too riled up to be tied up. He refused to stay put as he continued to bark at the incoming Beartic. "Bec! Sit!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, but the Poochyena refused to listen and continued snarl, howl, and bark at the Ice Pokemon.
Suddenly, it appeared from within the cave with another mighty roar. Valery shivered in fear, her sunglasses falling from her face and onto the floor. She struggled to find them before realizing Becquerel's scent was moving farther and farther away. The Poochyena ran around the Beartic, still barking and snapping at it. The Beartic roared it before Bec leaped at its neck and took a Bite out of it. The Pokemon winced in pain and shook the small Dark type off its back before knocking it against the cavern wall with a swing of its paw. Bec whined and whimpered as it tried to limp over to its master. "Bec! No!" Valery cried out.
In a desperate fit to get the Beartic's attention off her loyal Pokemon, she beat the rocks with her cane. This grabbed its attention, as it began to slowly walk towards Valery. She smelled it coming, and she could hear its mighty paws scratch against the stone.

Nick leaped onto the Pokemon's back and recalled his Croconaw in order to avoid more flight stress on the Tropius. "Thanks, Christian! We need to hurry!" He pleaded.

"On it, Nick! Soar, go that way!" Christian said, pointing towards the direction of Valery's scream.
After a couple minutes of flying, they approached a cave that had the sounds a bear roaring.
He said," Soar! Over there!"
Soar was looking battered and beaten. It was due to the hail and cold and Soar being a Grass-Type. The poor Pokemon started descending. But, when they were maybe 30 feet from the ground, Soar could not take it anymore. It had fainted and was plummeting to the ground.
Christian said," Nick, hold on until we're closer to the ground! When it's safe, jump! I wanna get off Soar before he falls to the snow!"

DJ's TADs vibrated. It was a response from Nick. The small band of members were on Twist Mountain. He could easily get there on Charizard, but he decided to take the teleporter. He stepped in and punched in some coordinates and calibrated to the active location of Nick's location.

Nick was not having any of this. "Zero, help her!" he yelled, tossing the Poke Ball towards the cave. It made contact with the floor and the Croconaw burst out, introducing itself to the Beartic with a Metal Claw to its face. Nick stayed on the falling Tropius, hoping it would not hurt too much to fall onto the snow.
Zero and Beartic exchanged several Slash attacks, neither gaining the upper hand against the other. Several beams of Ice and Water Pulses were exchanged among many Hydro Pumps and Blizzards.

Valery heard Nick and Christian's voice nearby, she smiled in relief as his Croconaw came to her help. Becquerel continued to limp in her direction, dragging the unconscious Cubchoos towards her to avoid them getting hurt any further. She stood up and took a step back, but realized she had stepped on her sunglasses. Valery sighed and got on her knees, hoping for this to finish soon.

Christian sent out Mind, his Kirlia. The small, psychic Pokemon summoned a wall of power (Protect) to shield Valery and her Pokemon from anymore damage. Mind then Teleported down to assist the battle.
An idea struck Christian. He called down," Mind! Teleport Valery and Becquerel out of Beartic's cave!"
Mind approached the two, and waited for them to grab hold of her. To let Valery be aware of her presence, Mind touched her on the leg.

DJ teleported into a cave. Upon his entrance there was growling. "Nick" he whispered. He didnt hear anything but the growling. Suddenly he heard footsteps running toward him. He quickly turned and there was a Beartic running toward him. "Sh*t!" he cursed. Just his luck. Nick must have just moved from this area in the cave.
DJ did a back flip and grabbed a pokeball from his belt. "Scizor!" he called out. Scizor came out and stepped in front of its Trainer.

Valery heard the battle continue to unfold as the Beartic roared, attacking the newly appeared Scizor and Nick's Croconaw. Becquerel made its way over to her, and she scooped the Poochyena into her arms as the fight raged on. Before she knew it, a Pokemon was touching her leg and she had reappeared next to Christian and Nick. "..." She sensed the severity of Bec's wounds, she needed help.

Nick tossed the Poke Ball containing Sweetie, his Chansey, onto the snow. She promptly took the Pokemon away from Valery and started nursing him back to health, letting him hold her egg to speed up the process. "Valery, are you okay?" Nick grabbed her, staring into her empty eyes.
"Croconaw!" Zero snapped at Beartic, using a Metal Claw on its leg. The Pokemon was not happy about this, and roared in anger. It slammed its paws down forcefully, causing icicles to rain down upon Zero. The Beartic was near fainting, but it was so furious it absolutely refused to go down.

Finally, after a while, Soar's body made contact with the ground. There was a bug thud, not strong enough to hurt any passengers. He slid off Soar, with Mind not so far behind.

The Beartic charged again at DJ. Scizor stepped in and blocked. Scizor then hit the Beartic with a Metal Claw. "Alright Scizor, let's take this big fella down!!!" Scizor did a war cry. The Beartic roared and another roar replied. "That doesn't sound so good!" he said. DJ took out his TADs and started to call Nick.
