Maddy chased her kids through the forest, but couldn't quite catch up to them because of the sugar rush from all the candy she had let them consume so far. She reached the haunted house, which was three stories high and had light purple ghost flames floating all around it. Howling noises and loud creaking sounds came from the house, and it generally looked like a terrifying abandoned house no one would want to enter. "Well... There it is. Too bad I don't have my ke--" She was cut off by the loud sound of the front door opening itself. "Oh, that's wonderful."

"Well, let's go then." Maddy said, being the first to enter the haunted house. It was a little unnerving going into the house without her keys. Now she had no way to control the situation. On the bottom floor of the house was two rooms, one to the left and another to the right. The one to the left, judging by looking under the door, was completely pitch-black and the other had an eerie green glow coming under the door. Maddy looked over her shoulder at Brian. "Which one first?"

The door swung open as soon as Brian touched the doorknob, revealing a room filled with coffins. The eerie glow was coming from torches mounted to the wall, lit with green fire. Between each torch was a creepy mask. Maddy looked around. "I only built the rooms, Atreyu's the room responsible for all this. So I honestly have no clue what to expect." She walked over to a coffin and poked it, wondering if anything would happen. "Hmmm..." Upon contact with her hand, the coffin began to shake and the paint fell off it, revealing the yellow coffin-shaped body of a Cofagrigus. The other few coffins did the same, turning into Cofagrigus' and the masks on the walls turned into Yamasks. "Sweet. I guess fight one of each and catch if you want?" Maddy said as she took a Pokeball out from her pocket, ready to battle.

*A Yamask comes up to me* Me: Well if isn't Carnival! I think though that you need to be washed up. Frillish go! *My spooky pink jellyfish appears* Me: Shadow Ball! *My Jellicent summons a great ball of ectoplasm that does great damage to the possessed mask* *The Yamask then drives a nail into itself, in a curse, which harms it, then the curse harms Jellicent* Me: Night Shade. *The Yamask goes down and I recall Jellicent*
*Then the unliving coffin comes up* Me: Sandile, go! *Sandile Intimidates Cofagrigus* Me: Now Bite! *As Sandile bites down for a firm hit, wrapping go around it, mummifying it* *The original mummy flinches* Me: Continue! *Sandile bites the things again, for great damage* *Cofagrigus responds with an chilling Ominous Wind, that doesn't do much* Me: Bite again! *The coffin rests in peace*

Maddy sent out Su, her Tyranitar, to face a tiny little Yamask. A sandstorm began to stir in the room. "Su! Use Crunch!" Su rushed forward and chomped down on the little mask Pokemon, causing a great deal of damage. The Yamask faded away, fainting. A Cofagrigus confronted Su; a much more worthy opponent for the beast of a Tyranitar. The Cofagrigus was hit by the Sandstorm whipping around and then used Energy Ball, shooting a ball of green energy at Su. Su was hit hard in the chest, taking a good amount of damage. "Su! Crunch again!" Su did as she was told, and with a mighty roar rushed forward and bit down hard on the coffin-like Pokemon.Cofagrigus was damaged sightly by the Sandstorm. It then used Grass Knot, the weight-based attack dealing a heavy amount of damage to Su. Su was staggering by now, but still had some fight left in her. "Finish this with Earthquake, Su!" Maddy barked. Su slammed the ground hard, causing a powerful earthquake to erupt. Cofagrigus was hit hard and fainted, finishing the battle. Maddy recalled Su, and sighed with relief. One room down, four to go. "Let's continue." She said, going back out into the hall and into the next room, which was pitch-black.

Maddy summoned some fire of her own to help brighten the room. The room they were in was filled with mirrors that shaped a maze, and each mirror had a Sableye stuck to it. From what Maddy could tell, the Sableye's were fake. She reached up and attempted to poke one, but only came in contact with a mirror. "Huh..." Suddenly, the Sableye on the mirror he touched ran off, and she could see it's reflection in several other mirrors. "Oh, I don't like this already. I guess we should try and find the real Sableyes?" She suggested, punching the mirror in front of her and shattering it. "There, that's one less mirror for them to use to confuse us."

"I'm a demon, I got enough bad luck as it is. I don't think this will do much to me, at least." Maddy sent out her Gengar, Spooky. "Brick Break some mirrors, please." Spooky obeyed and proceeded to shatter mirrors until the Sableyes had no way to hide their positions. It turned out there was only two of them. "Sweet, one each." Maddy targeted a Sableye and the battle ensued.

Me: Thing about these things is, no weakness. Aerodactyl, Rock Slide. *Aerodactyl hits a random rock pile that cause s great harm to the Sableye* *Sableye responds with Shadow Claw, which does decent damage* Me: Fly. *Aerodactyl goes up high to the ceiling* *Sableye tries another Shadow Claw but misses* Me: Down you go. *Sableye faints as its slammed into*

"Spooky! Start this off with Shadow Ball!" Spooky threw a ball of condensed shadow energy at the Sableye, hitting it smack in the face. Sableye leapt forward, slashing at Spooky with claws that pulsed with shadow energy. Spooky was struck hard, but still had lots of energy left. "Spooky, use Dark Pulse!" The Gengar sent a pulsation of dark energy flying at Sableye, striking it hard enough to make it flinch. "There's an opening! Strike with Shadow Claw!" Spooky's hand glowed with shadow energy as he rushed forward and swiped at Sableye, landing a critical blow. The Sableye fell over, knocked out. "To the next floor!" Maddy exclaimed, heading out the door and up the stairs at the end of the hallway.
