She did. She kind of did. Maebe just kept poking the wiggling a**, fascinated by its movement. She didn't even know male asses could move like that.

"Maybe my name's Maebe." She retorted up at Dakota, giving him a quirked smile. "And maybe you guys are trying to trick me. I'm not signing any waivers or condo agreements against your bodies, boys, so don't even try it."

She hopped off the pod, and wiped her hands on her jumpsuit. "Angel Division of what? Do we get wings, or is it just.. the longer I'm here, the sexier I'm going to get?" That would explain why Tweedlebicep and Tweedletricep were showing their goods to her.

"If anybody hands me a pill and calls it an herbal supplement, I'm hopping back in the coffin."

He gripped the softly glowing guitar to his chest like a life line, glasses slipping down his nose again, "Um... um... woo-what year do you think it is?" He managed weakly. Oh god, oh god, how was he going to explain this to her? That her life had been wasted, sleeping, waiting to fight the good fight only to wake up old and feeble and probably discarded and... the panic showed on his scarred face.

Jerry nearly dropped his guitar as he sagged with relief, "Oh thank God, he babbled before his face suddenly brightened up, "This is Deus Ex Machina! You've been recruited into the finest bunch of men and women from around the globe to combat the evils that lurk in our souls!"

"Yes, ma'am!" Well, his job just got a lot easier, "Er, you're already signed up, if you're here-" He flipped through her paperwork, "Oh, except for the fog, the island is great! The training fields and the beach are good for walks and stuff but I wouldn't go too deep into the jungle-" He shifted his guitar to hang from his back, "Three meals, yes! Although you have to pay for any snacks from the vending machines and stuff on your own, but er... so long as collateral damage is kept to a minimum, the pay is pretty decent, considering we get room and board and the like-"

He realized his own manors, juggling the clipboard to offer his own hand, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Glenda, ma'am! I've just... I mean... for a while, I was one of the oldest recruits, it's almost relieving ahaha, they can stop calling me the ah- My name's Jerry. Jerry Collins. I'm in Sun Division." He hesitated, biting his tongue. "Yeah, so! You'll probably want to head to the Cove right away. The Missions have been more frequent, thank god for all these recent wake-ups. But you can get your partner there."

Whatever this "wonder park" was, it had to have been her own trial. He remembered being an anonymous gasmask, and how strange the whole thing had been.

Jerry blinked at her. "Er... if... you have any prescriptions, I'm sure they can fill them at the quartermaster... Otherwise... er... I could show you to your room?" He glanced down bashfully at the sudden compliment. "Ah... th-thanks, ahahaha. The last few Wakers I greeted I think wanted to break my guitar. But see? I KNEW some people liked waking up that way!"

"Er... what?" Jerry wobbled, taken off guard. "Nut house...?" He blinked, frowning for a moment as his brain tried to keep up.

He suddenly laughed, high and giddy, which probably didn't help his case, but finally he managed to choke out, "No, no no no I mean, well, ahahaha yes I suppose, of a sorts but- we're an organization that fights the monsters, ma'am. And I suppose my parents WOULD be proud of me if they weren't dead. You've seen them, though, right? The shadows? The creatures? You go to the Cove and arm yourself with a partner and then we make those creatures go back where they came from." His voice was dripping with venom at that point, but his smile remained, encouraging and excited.

Ah. So she had been part of some incident? That would explain the late recruitment. Well, he couldn't think of a better way to retire. "Whatever you saw... that's just the tip of the ice berg, I'm sure..." He bit his lip. Hit a dragon with her car? Blow up an island? He'd have to ask her more, but now wasn't the time. "I really advise you get your partner. Asap. You really have no idea. Here, look." He unslung his guitar and gently set it and the clipboard down on a nearby pod before fishing the little golden flute that hung from his neck out of his shirt and held it up for her. "This is my partner. Roar."

He only gave her a moment before the dimly lit room was suddenly filled with green light, and the massive, monstrous cannon appeared on his shoulder with enough weight that sent the scarred, bespectacled man staggering backward a step.

Glenda just stared at him for a few moments, blessedly silent.

Then she cackled.

"Hoo-ee, I could use one 'o those, certainly. Awful big though, I hope you ain't compensatin' for anyhin' dear."

A magic shoulder cannon? This would be one hell of a vacation.

She gestured to him to come closer, holding out an arm demandingly. "Show me where I can get one 'a these, that's a good boy, and them maybe you can tell me about them beaches."
