Oh Fox
That's actually really cool. cx
Did you enjoy it?
DEFINITELY. Especially movies that are supposed to be historical.
Puhlease. If the kids paid attention in school, they'd know.
But I think I'm the only one who does that anymore.
Yep. But it was rather easy, the question of today I mean. I figured that back then maybe in the 1800something, not even the maps were going to help in emergency situations. In fact, most maps lacked fine details that might save your life sometimes, especially in this part of the world where there's too much nature and too few habitats.
So, I'd guess that he had been educated like a normal officer back then - he was able to draw simple maps by himself to keep everything on track, even when all the back up plans fail and the unit gets lost.
The army officials used to be high-class people ages ago, too. As everyone might guess, it was a part of general high-class education back in the days to be able to paint stuff realistically. For realistic art, the most important thing is the scale and the distances of the objects. That is the very same thing that you need for drawing maps.
So maybe it wasn't that odd at all that he was able to paint things, then.
(I can't explain this very well in english, soooorry.)
Indeed. Like the hair styles of women are too short in most historical movies, because the modern people who act them don't have the same hair length.
