Zahara's head immediately went back to it's normal position and her eyes remained on the book. She wouldn't look at Malik because she didn't want the same kind of thoughts to enter her mind. So why did she care, no want them there about Sevilin? Damned if she knew. Focus Zahara...focus. Stop looking at him, stop thinking about him, stop fantasizing, that will get you nowhere. He won't welcome your advances and you'll only get smacked. But then he'd smiled at her and met her gaze and he'd even halfway complimented her...wait was that twice now? Of course green is my color you stupid men, why do you think I wear it as often as I do? But she didn't say it, merely used her finger to trace down the page and look at things. "Two and a half centuries to become a Master...I don't think I want to go that far. Unless of course he," jerking her head in the direction of Malik's voice, "decides that's what I should be. But who knows if I'll even be here in two centuries or not...I certainly don't." Distraction. Distraction was good. Study the book, don't look at Sevilin. You can do this Zahara. Now she was pep talking herself, would it ever end?

"Dear Zahara. haven't you figured it out yet? You're part of this House. Piper has all but adopted you. this is your home. I woudl expect you'd be here for much of your young life."

And he didn't even need to read Sevilin's mind to know the kind of thoughts in his head.

"She's wilder than you might suspect. and I like it like that. there's nothing better than a strong willed, and passionate woman. they test you, they try you..they challenge. Though...I've yet to hear of a Drow woman that did as much. they prefer to dominate. they would rather hunt the fox, instead of the panther."

A smirk to the other male.

"though as always...there are exceptions to every rule."

Then that tray got taken back upstairs with a slight whistling, and Piper was delivered her butter and muffins and milk, while he had his ketchup and eggs with bacon and wine.

Sevilin had again frowned as Malik more or less laid out what was on his mind. Though Malik more so boggled the drow's mind, closed as it was to matters of this subject. He...liked it like that? How in the nine hells and beyond could that possibly be enjoyable? Sevilin himself knew he didn't like it and couldn't fathom anyone else enjoying that.

A small shake of his head that spoke of distaste as the tier'dal had continued on about it all. Yes, those simple few sentences was enough to unnerve Sevilin, very much so. Combine that with his other thoughts and dare he say a certain tinge of desire for Zahara and he was in thought and feeling hell. Vhaerun help him indeed.

And his look filtered down to Zahara again and he snickerd. "Well he can just light up a room can't he?" Oh so cold stoic tone.

Her ears twitched at the sound of Malik's steps on the stairs, she knew them and had been listening, not to mention his whistling, also using that bond of thier to measure his distance. Thusly she reached over, shutting down that early morning blue sjy projection before he even hit the top the the stairs. Guily, secret, pleasure indeed. She'd eventually get over the sun, but for now she allowed herself her little private reprieves. A raised eyebrow as he came in with food stuffs, apparently pleased with himself. "Well, aren't you in a wonderfully enchanting mood today A'Mael? Did I miss something perhaps?"

"Indeed you did. A completely disoriented and disconcerted Sevilin. I think you'd enjoy that."

A slight snicker.

"You don't happen to have any other more visible signs of last night, would you? Sevilin saw your handywork and it gave him such a look on his face. completely priceless. But onto breakfast for us."

And he started in on his eggs after lathering them in ketchup, occasionally eating some bacon and drinking wine.

She shrugged, "He certainly thinks he does although I much prefer the darkness, thanks." Flipping back through the book she once again began to run her fingers over the runes on the page, memorizing the different patterns that her fingers could take to form them. She really wanted to rune again but wasn't sure it was such a good idea to ask. Usually Sevilin chose what they would do and not the other way around but perhaps she could get him to let her today...and then perhaps not. "Can I...rune?" she asked hopefully, glancing up at him and nibbling on her bottom lip in uncertainty.

She tapped her nail file at her chin a moment, letting her head tilt in contenplation. "Hm, you know I may just have to brave the tempest to see such a sight as that. I'm sure it's not common at all." A little laugh before she tended to her nails some. "I don't know why you don't tell me when these things are getting too long." Hell if she paid attention to the length of her own nails really. But then a blink at him and a chuckle. "Well...not much appropriate for aquantances really on me." Though there was some evident brusing on her arms and shoulders that was lightly tinging her skin. When they got into it with each other, they really did a number on one another. It was a wonder they didn't break or seriously hurt each other sometimes. Shaking her head lightly to get her hair from her eyes she set down her file and gave a tug at her collar before taking to much appreciated breakfast. Though Piper couldn't help that satisfied, almost proud look at the mention her her 'handywork' startling Sevilin. "I'm sure he'd completely stunned to the thought of you enduring such an act upon you."

Why did it have to be green...especially when he wore green. Yes, estranged from his house but all too keenly wore the symbols and colors of the Inthara House. Greens and silvers being thier signature colors, and every member having some part of thier hair braided. As he saw it, it was not the House that should be disgraced by the actions of his kin, but his kin that should be the ones to take to task. A paradox of sorts...then again that was Sevilin.

Sevilin was pulled from his own thoughts that had been spurred by Malik's little visit, and he blinked once in unguarded fashion before turning ruby eyes down to Zahara. Why...did she look so entincing like that? Dare he say almost vulnerable. Sitting there, softly asking questions and biting her lip. Sevilin, you're staring, snap out of it before you get caught. And he seemed to snap back once more.

"Rune...oh. You want to rune? Well...do you have any of your formula left? I suppose that it wouldn't be too much of a task to let you rune some basics. Help you learn faster anyway. What it comes down to is your fingers knowing before your eyes do." That's right, keep the mind focused on the lessons and not her.

He was going to let her? Well look at that. She considered for a moment trying to remember and then she jumped up. 'It's upstairs, I'll be right back." A moment later she had pushed past him and ran barefoot to the stairs heading to her room and grabbing that jar of gel like solution, then back downstairs and clearing the table of any extra stuff. Unscrewing the jar, she dipped her fingers into the cool substance and carefully and painstakingly drew the runic circle, about the same size as she had last time. Glancing over at him, grinning, "So which runes first?" Eager and enthusiastic, this was a treat for her. She actually got to play with what she was learning though her body was still tingling from the light contact of brushing past him.

He stiffened as she pushed past him and had forced thier bodies into contact for a brief moment. It was more of a scared rabbit response at first, the posture being held for a few moments even after she had goen upstairs. Taking a moment he composing himself. Breath Sevilin, you know something is wrong with you, just try not to be obvious about it.

Though she didn't give him much time as she was back in the blink of an eye, clearing the table and setting up for her little runing session. She really got a kick out of it didn't she? And he was staring at her again...didn't help that anything she was wearing was more or less see through. He cleared his throat, one hand pushing his braid over his shoulder so it fell down his back. "Impress me." A little nod and an encouraging smile to her.

"Because, as I have said, your clawing doesn't bother me. I don't mind it."

Though a notice of her bruising and a slight chuckle at that, and and back to breakfast.

"You know, there are some clothing, if you don't mind me saying, that woudl show those bruises off while remaining rather sleek and sexy. that is of course if you wanted."

Oh he knew she was thinking about showing that off just to get under Sevilin's skin.

PostPosted: Wed Apr 05, 2006 11:02 am

"Clawing...you can make it sound so much more evil and hurtful than it is...or rather than you say it is. Such a strong word really, clawing." Though a raise of an eyebrow at him at his little suggestion being put forth. "Since when was I in the habit of showing off anything to anyone? Espcially if it called for a change in clothing, or level of revealing of that clothing." A snicker then, "Besides, he's a man and he's drow. He'd just smirk in that irritating way and think 'oh, so he did give her back what she deserved, he should of cracked her cheek bones in while he was at it.' I'm sure bruises on me would all but make Sevilin's day, the best ever. Not to metion that he may take it as liscene that it's okay to hit me and mark me up as he pleased." Oh she knew he didn't take any warning to giving her any type or respect seriously, and she didn't doubt he'd take advantage of the situation should she find herself alone with him and his temper snapped. A sly look to Malik though. "You just like dressing me up...or down. Whichever the case may be."

"We still cannot find it or how it was stolen." The scout reported to Jarlaxle.

"I am pretty sure 'it' was a woman."

"Maybe she walked out on her own?"

"A blind woman walked out of the Castle, on her own, without the aid of any of the staff, and without the use of any of the magical devices that are actually used to enter and exit the building?"

"A crafty wench."

Jarlaxle laughed, "No."

"Then, where should I look, Sire?"

"I think the first thing we must do, is actually find out if Lil'Kimmi let her go."

"You think he let it get stolen?"

"Yes."

Impress him? Could she? Hardly, after all he was a Master but hey, she could certainly try now couldn't she? She closed the book and recalled one of the runes in her mind then used that solution to draw the fire rune and harden the circle with heat. Drawn perfectly the first time, seh was rather proud of that fact, yes she did pick up a few thngs. Touching the substance to make sure it wasn't annoyingly hard like it had been last time, she stood still for a moment, mindful of his rather large body just behind her and then she smirked. She knew which one she would draw. Her mind conjured the rune clearly in her mind's eye and her wrists were held up in an arc to keep her elbows and such from messing it up. The rune was easily drawn, a giant teardrop in the middle and she smiled as it activated, glowed brightly and a soft rain began to fall inside. The droplets sliding down her cheeks and chin and the rest of her exposed skin felt wonderful on her heated body and she threw her head back to just enjoy it. "Impressed?" she asked smiling.

"I will say it is fun. But of course it's your choice. though I did have this nice little backless haltertop type thing with a pair of trousers I think you might have looked good in."

A chuckle.

"Something I saw from Aurahkah's plane. human females wore it."

Breakfast all done, and plate set aside to wait for her to finish.

"And yes, Zahara is wearing what she agreed to. which must make it awfully difficult for Sevilin to keep a level head."

Okay he'd admit that he was rather proud of her for remembering the discussion and techniques he had posed to her at their last little runing session. Make it quite pleasant when he didn't have to repeat himself over and over and over again and again. It was just a waste of time all in all when that happened. Though he crossed his arms at the light rainfall.

He hated being wet. For various reasons, though the top being the circumstances in which he learned to swim when he was a much younger elf. Took to water much like a cat when he had his choice about it really. "Hmm...I would say impressed on the level of it being quite the little rune to show off with...not with the use of it itself." Yeah, not digging the rain.

Not to mention...he had to keep his eyes off of her. Usually where red eyes would usually avoid a female's body at all cost naturally, he was having to fight with himself to keep them off of her and from staring. He didn't want to look at her body, slick with water and those silks sticking to her, and Lloth forbid a desiring feeling come to mind. Reaching to the table he swiped the rune, killing off it's affects. Again he clearned his throat. "Care to see if you can get us dry now?"

All too aware of the wetness to his own skin, clothes, and hair, and not at all enjoying it. The feeling of being wet and cold wasn't pleasing. Though it was a cute sight to see Nym liking water droplets off of Sevilin's cheek, happy as the ferret pleased.

Okay he had done it, he had sparked her interest. Proof of that given in the slight tilt of her head and the soft glimmer of gold that said 'intrigue' in her eyes. Setting her plate aside, even the little bit of food he'd brought her only three quarters eaten, she leaned back on her hands on the bed. "Oh really now?" A little shake of her head with a smile. "Sometimes I think you have too much free time to make what your mind shows you. I suppose...I could indulge and spoil you on the aspect." Though the information about Zahara did get a raised eyebrow. "She really is?" Talk about playing the part. "Shouldn't that deter him?"

Her eyes were closed, her head was back and she had that blissful look upon her face...until he messed up the rune. She just shook her wet hair and combed her fingers through it in a feminine manner then nodded. "I think I can handle that, let me think for a moment. Two solutions could be used hee, wind and fire. Fire would take a lot longer and could easily get out of control, wind was her safer bet. So she racked her brain until she came up with the proper rune. Her fingers quickly and expertly reformed the image in the proper place upon the circle and the roar of the air could soon be heard, filling the dining room. Zahara felt her ears pin back and her hair begin to blow as the wind, rather heavy now that she thought about it, dried them off. Running her hands through her hair she fluffed it slightly taking on a more rumpled look, as though someone had had their hands tangled in her hair. "Better?" she asked smiling sweetly.
