Maddy sent out Reshiram as N sent out Zekrom. It seemed that the dragons were destined to showdown first.
"Reshiram! Use Dragon Pulse!"
Reshiram roared and pulses of dragon energy erupted from it's mouth, hitting Zekrom in the chest.
"Zekrom! Retaliate with Dragon Claw!"
Zekrom's claws glowed with dragon power as it clawed Reshiram across the cheek, leaving three deep gashes.
"Use Focus Blast!"
Reshiram closed it's eyes as it focused hard, and then it unleashed a blast of energy at Zekrom. Zekrom was hit in the stomach and it's special defense was lowered.
"Hah! Fool! Type advantages are where it's at! Use Stone Edge, Zekrom!"
Zekrom grabbed a sharpened rock nearby and slashed Reshiram across the chest.
"You're the fool!" Maddy barked. "The fact that Zekrom has lowered special defense leaves it open to Reshiram's strongest attack! Use Draco Meteor!"
Reshiram roared loudly, summoning a giant comet bathed in blue and gold flames from the sky, striking Zekrom. Zekrom staggered and fell over, KO'd from the blow.
"Choose your next Pokemon, N!"
N frowned and sent out Klinklang.
"Use Fire Fang!" Maddy commanded.
Reshiram's maw burned with red hot flames as it bit down on Klinklang's metallic exterior. Klinklang suddenly morphed into Zoroark
"Zoroark! Use Night Daze!"
Zoroark let loose a pitch-black shockwave, hitting Reshiram and dealing a small bit of damage.
"Another Focus Blast should finish this one!"
Reshiram gathered it's focus yet again and blasted Zoroark, KO'ing it.
N cursed under his breath and sent out Carracosta.
"Reshi! Prepare Solar Beam!"
Reshiram began to store solar power for it's next move.
"Use Ancientpower!"
Carracosta struck with a prehistoric power, dealing a decent chunk of damage to Reshiram. Unfortunately for Maddy, all of it's stats were raised.
Reshiram unleashed it's Solar Beam, blasting Carracosta with a golden beam of light. However, Carracosta's recent stat raise gave it just enough special defense to hang on.
N smirked. "Finally, I can take that beast down! Use Rock Slide!"
Carracosta hurled rocks at Reshiram, it's increased attack pushing it's damage just enough to cause the great white dragon to faint.
"You did good, Reshiram." Maddy praised it's new companion. She returned it and sent out Syuviel, her Sceptile.
"Use Energy Ball!"
Syuviel blasted Carracosta with a ball of green grass-type energy, causing it to faint.
N sent out Vanilluxe.
"Syuviel! Use Focus Blast!"
It seemed Maddy was favoring this move tonight. Syuviel gathered focus and blasted the ice cream Pokemon with it, dealing a great amount of damage.
"Use Blizzard!"
Vanilluxe summoned up an icy cold snowstorm, hitting Syuviel and KO'ing him.
Maddy recalled Syuviel and sent out her shiny Blaziken, Blaze.
"Use Blaze Kick!"
Blaze's leg flared up with fire as it kicked Vanilluxe in it's left face. Both Maddy and Blaze smirked as the Pokemon fainted.
Next out on N's side was Archeops. N smiled, as Archeops was much faster than Maddy's Blaziken.
"Use Rock Slide!"
The ancient bird Pokemon picked up rocks in it's talons and flung them at Blaze, hitting him hard.
"Use Thunderpunch!"
Blaze's fist sparked with electricity as he jumped up and punched Archeops in the face.
"Retaliate with Stone Edge!"
Archeops grabbed a nearby sharpened rock and slashed Blaze across the chest, dealing a critical hit and KO'ing him.
Maddy sent out Emp, her Empoleon.
"Use Earth Power!"
Archeops let out a screech and the ground underneath Empoleon erupted.
"Finish it with Surf, Emp!"
Emp summoned a massive wave of water, sweeping Archeops right out of the sky! When the water cleared, Archeops was on the ground, unconscious.
N finally sent out his last Pokemon, his actual Klinklang.
"Use Discharge!"
The metallic Pokemon let loose a flare of electricity, striking Emp.
"Use Earthquake!"
Emp slammed the ground with one of his large metallic flippers, causing a powerful earthquake and dealing a great amount of damage to his foe.
N began to look a little nervous.
"Use Zap Cannon!"
It was a good last attempt at a KO, but the powerful electric move missed.
"Finish it with Brick Break!"
Empoleon slammed Klinklang hard with one of his flippers, knocking out N's last Pokemon.
N fell to his knees in defeat, a bead of sweat running down the side of his face. He had lost.
Maddy breathed a sigh of relief and returned her companion.
"Whew..."
She waited for the others to finish.

Memo watched N's and Maddy's battle with eyes that wanted to burst with tears. It was a beautiful, but destructive, sight to see.
"We won..."
The Aquan boy walked over to what seemed to be Maddy, but instead passed her and continued towards N!
"N..."
Memo knelt down beside him and and smiled at the boy, egg still in the boy's warm arms.

"Oh N, how far you have fallen." Ginji sighed as he pitied the boy on the floor. "Now what?" he asked.

"Sounds good. We'll wait." Ginji smiled as he waited with Memo for something interesting to happen next.

Memo stood by N and snarled at this Ghetis man who appeared. His face twisted in anger!
"How dare you!? You used your own son to act out your own selfish ideals!?"
The boy was on the verge of tears as Cerza growled at him as well. He then turned to look at N and his demeanor changed drastically.
"You ok?"
He said worriedly. He extended a warm hand to N and smiled.
"We're here for you now hehe."

"Stand down Memo. He's mine." Ginji growled as his eyes twitched. He nodded to the gym leaders and then turned to his own team. "Help the Gym Leaders in any way you can. If that means dishing out potions or aiding in the battle yourself, by all means, go for it."

The teen reached for a single strand of magic with one hand and a Pokeball in the other and the battle began in a flurry of electrical energy and flashes of light.

((Very open ended how you fight with the Gym Leader. Have some fun with it. If you fight along side them, you may control their actions. The sages have 4-6 fully evolved Pokemon))

She nodded to Ginji while going to a gym leader to assist them.

"Be right back!"
The boy jumped all the way downstairs and found the Healing Machine.
"Derp. Hehe."
He then went all the way back up and met up with Skyla, the beautiful flying gym leader!
"Skyla!"
She turned to see a tall Aquan boy and squinted.
"Memo?"
"I see Falkner talks about me hehe."
She nodded and the turned to see the Sage approaching her with pokeballs in hand.
"You ready?"
Skyla said happily.
"You know it!"
Memo winked at her and sped off with his new friend into battle!
