In aswer to everyone was involved, yes, but if they were trying to kill you, why where they mostly using delay tactics? they seemed more interested in maintaining your focus, than actually killing you.

Nelfien wouldn't run, even unarmed and naked he'd fight them. And killing Jewel would be a very bad idea... She's what keeps him from destroying the planet.
