Miss Maeko xXxJackxXxOffxXxJillxXx Miss Maeko Oh, definitely. Especially when you're dealing with fit/athletic/inhuman circus members. ._____. Da~ Well...just to drag out the chase, if it were Reivyn, she'd be nice enough to give him a good little head-start....maybe....possibly....okay, probably not. Patience isn't really her virtue. sweatdrop YOU GET A 2 SECOND HEAD START. STARTING.... OK TIME'S UP. Edit: Happy Holidays to you guys too! ^^ Happy Holidays everyone!!!! Hell, he's lucky to even get a pause on between the start-to-finish mark. XD

Warning: Anything you read in this post (squished between rant section) is actually directed at a certain group of Vietnamese people.
--- *starts rant* ---
Just because you're in some sort of hardship I probably don't know about, it does not mean you can be SCUMBAGS to strangers. The food is for everyone, and the seats are for first come first serve basis.
It DOES NOT mean you can take my family's seat when we reserved them ourselves first, MORE THAN 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOU EVEN GOT HERE WITHOUT EVEN LEAVING OUR TABLE, and then YELL at us for taking "your" family seat. It does not mean that you can eat half of the food you pile upon yourselves, and then leave the mess for other people to pick up after you, even when my family demonstrated RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU ALL, that we should clean up after ourselves with gratitude since we finished our meal before you. It is a CHRISTMAS party hosted by a CHURCH community, AT LEAST help out those people who provided all this food for you by keeping yourselves nice and neat.
When getting food, you do not push people in line and then COMPLAIN ABOUT BEING PUSHED (acting a victim). You do not cut people to get food TO BRING HOME, and then GOT THE NERVE TO YELL AT PEOPLE to form in line, when you're the one HOLDING UP THE GOD DAMN LINE YOURSELVES, pretending that you don't see us all there, and then leave the rest of the people (who are standing in line) with HARDLY ANYTHING TO EAT.
I MAY LOOK LIKE A KID who's more influenced by the American lifestyle than the Vietnamese, so I can understand why you'd think that little kids may prefer the sweetness of American cake over Asian cake. This point, in and of itself is offending. A kid knows better, and I'm sure that people are more accepting and appreciative of the differences between the two cakes.
When holding a raffle, DON'T RIG IT SO OBVIOUSLY IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. Numbers that start out with 930? 4 of them straight, one right after the other? When there's numbers that goes upwards of 937? That guy who had a wrong number at first, then COMES UP AGAIN right after the next pull of the raffle ticket, just to WIN the prize this time? EXTENDING the Christmas party OVER 3 hours just so you can get enough money from selling raffle tickets, to make up for the amount spent on the a few big prizes that could have been better off split between a bigger amount of prizes with smaller values, when we had Church that was 2 HOURS LONG because a good chunk of it was all about GLORIFYING THE COMMUNITY that you guys ALWAYS DO EVERY SUNDAY? Oh yeah, KEEPING THE PRIZE IF NO ONE OWNS THE WINNING NUMBER after 3 calls? Bull! I say BULL!
Then there's that poor little kid who have to sing a song, 3 TIMES IN A ROW, for who knows what reason (freakin' raffle). Kid is obviously clueless since he just sing to the tune/background song. Might I say that this is the SAME SONG SUNG MORE LIKE HALF A YEAR AGO, THE SAME WAY (3 in a row)? Are you guys deaf or something? What's with keeping the volume up so high? Every freaking year/party we have, you have to have it EAR BLASTING VOLUME HIGH. I do hope you do not mind me politely plugging my left ear with my fingers.
Now I think about it, this sort of behavior had occurred for a very long time in this community while I was growing up. It was better, so much better back then. Oh, how I miss the fun/kind people we used to have here. It's no wonder that they had left this community. It's no wonder that my family don't participate in this community as actively as my Aunts/Uncles who are more well off as we are. When reading that poor foreigner's 3 year's experience in Vietnam, I wouldn't doubt what he said was off. My friend's family (another culture/race/etc) had similar problems, and her country isn't far off from Vietnam either. I'm not longing for the Vietnam community as much as I used to now, but I won't lose faith in those small few Vietnamese groups of people who know better.
--- *ends rant* ---
Long day at work today (which I chose to do myself). It was very nice. *sigh* I wish I am at taking orders, haha. I mess up too much when I'm there. Kinda afraid that cleaning isn't going to keep me in this job, but I hope that my diligence in the area will make it more than worthwhile for the restaurant. :3

t h e C a r d M a s t e r Sounds like you had a rough night. >:
And man. I thought Koreans were stingy. XD My Christmas day is ruined because of those people (Church starts at 11:30am, and we left the party at 4pm). I thought we won't be getting snow on xmas this year since we didn't even get any since December started, but we did saw small flurries (good enough for me, lol). Today was rather nice. More hours equals more money for me, and it was mostly cleaning. I don't mind cleaning (except if it deals with the bathroom). =D My friend's a Cambodian, and she tells me her neighborhood is full of those sorts of elitist/rude people. My sister has to deal with those sorts with her fiance's side of the family (well, it's mostly her boyfriend's sister being the b***h). My mother probably have to work with those sorts of people too (heard that her boss/manager/whatever that person is, takes money and explaining it's for the rent/bills, but he/she's somehow owing her other coworkers money for over a year). Seriously... Seriously? I'm sure life over here in the US is a lot better than that of Vietnam, but do people really have to keep that sort of attitude?

We drove over an hour to get there, and then literally drove on the campus for twenty minutes. Then spent another hour trying to find an open restaurant on Christmas Day.
Oh man. Should see my community. All the Koreans dressed up all fancy going to church to show off their clothes and electronics. And man, whenever it's Christmas, if you give the most expensive gift, you're just showing off your wealth and having an excuse not to give anything else until next Christmas.
