I step over to the PC to see if any of my Pokemon could use Heat Wave and help dry the room.

I mean, that isn't legal, but at least they're not bent on world domination or anything." Tommy scratched his back, and leaned back in to the couch. "Say, wouldn't a Heat Wave catch the carpet on fire or something? Then, we'd have to douse it with water, and there'd have been no point on setting it on fire... and... Yeah..." Tommy sighed. Charmeleon poked his head into the doorway that led into the common room.

Corphish scuttled into the HQ through the teleporter, as if nothing had happened.

Shaydas flopped down on the couch and sighed. "Where is Archie these days?" he said, staring at the ceiling. He pulled his Ultra Ball necklace off and began tossing in in the air and catching it.

"I think if a bird Pokemon uses Heat Wave, it won't be too strong." A few keystrokes narrow my search. "You think they're not bent on world domination, Tommy? If there's one thing Amarube wants, it's power. He's just more cautious about how he gets it. To him, extending his criminal empire into the pocketbook of every world government to manipulate things behind the scenes is just as good as ruling with an iron fist."

At least, without drawing attention to yourself. Cause then we get to kick their butts," Tommy chuckled to himself. He was becoming fidgety and restless.

Shaydas' concentration was interrupted violently by a Poké Ball from seemingly nowhere. He fell forward off the couch and face planted on Tommy's Swampert. He jumped up and snatched up the ball. "Who threw that?!" he yelled.

"A bird that's been to the right tutor. Pidgey, Murkrow, Tailow, Starly... they can all use it, if they're taught how." The computer returns a negative search result. "Tch. And I haven't taught the move to anyone. Guess we do it the old-fashioned way."
I call up my Flareon, Maul, and order up a Sunny Day. She gladly brightens up the place and the damp upholstery begins to steam.

"Pokemon are mysterious creatures indeed. How does Solar Beam have the same effect in a cave or at night as it does under the midday sun? For that matter, how does Earthquake have the same effect on land and at sea?"
Once the room has dried up a bit (and the humidity risen considerably) I recall Maul and prepare to leave.

Shaydas hurled the Ball at an Aquan that tried to flee when he realized who he'd just tried to catch. The sphere hit its mark and knocked the Trainer out cold on the floor. Shaydas sat back down and fell to watching Tommy jog around the room.

Rex smiled at Shaydas' victory. "It's a late night for Aqua." Rex smiled. Most of them hadn't ever been up this late, atleast that's what he thought.

I think I'll head out to do some good ol' exercise out under the stars. Th-th-th-th-that's all, folks!" With that, Tommy jogged through the teleporter, and started his jog around the island.

"I thought I'd made it clear that Aquans are not supposed to attempt a capture within HQ, unless specifically told otherwise. I'll have to do something about that tomorrow. For now though, G'night Rex, Shaydas, Tommy."
