I don't really have a "favorite" book. Especially since the series is of them growing up.
Each of them have pros and cons. ^_^;

I heard the same.
The fifth book is and WILL be the longest book in the series (the seventh book has thirty something chapters).
It's probably bad because they skipped alot.
They were about to cut out Kreacher (the house elf), but JK Rowling said "I wouldn't do that if I were you.."
Meaning, he has to have some sort of signifigance in the seventh book.
Gotta go now. Later!

I just got back from the movie. I thought they did, overall, an excellent job. They edited some stuff, but none of them really made a difference, in my opinion. A couple things got under my skin though.
SPOILERS FOR THE FIFTH BOOK/MOVIE (and fourth xD): >>In the movie near the end, Dumbledore's wand meets with Voldemort's, much like Harry's did with Voldemort's in the fourth movie. But, only Harry is able to do that, because his and Voldemort's wand have a feather from the same Pheonix- Fawx. That didn't make much of a difference, but it kind of took away from the scene in the fourth movie, if that makes any sense.
I would've liked the Weasley's "triumph scene" with Professor Umbridge longer (in the book, their havoc occurs in several different incidents, and they have their brooms chained to the wall [when they fly away with a chunk of wall hanging down from a large chain, they advertise their joke shop located in Hogsmade]). Though, I admit they did an excellent job (despite them tweaking it.. alot). It was just as satisfying. Although, they left out one of my favorite parts (direct quote from the book):
'"Give her hell from us, Peeves." And Peeves, whom Harry had never seen take an order from a student before, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang to a salute as Fred and George wheeled about to tumultuous applause from the students below and sped out of the open front doors into the glorious sunset.'
I believe he only takes orders from the Bloody Baron (out of fear), another ghost. Peeves is only seen in the movies for a brief moment in the first movie.
I'd also like the scene with the Marauders longer (they didn't even include the detail that Lily stood up for Snape and had sympathy on him). You couldn't see alot, but that scene (if you can even call it a scene.. it was so short xD) was overall.. alright.
But, the thing that I was mad at, was that near the very end, Bellatrix uses the Avada Kedavra (the killing curse) on Sirius Black, and he falls through the veil. In the fifth book, it clearly states that he was hit by a RED FLASH. Avada Kedavra uses a GREEN flash. They do not state specifically what curse they use on Sirius, but it could not have been the Avada Kedavra curse. JK Rowling has not confirmed Sirius Black ACTUALLY dead (although.. I highly doubt that he is alive, personally. I do hope, however, that he returns [even if only briefly] in the seventh book in SOME shape or form).
How are they going to explain themselves if Sirius DOES end up alive in the seventh book (again, I doubt it)!?<<
Ah, I love Professor McGonagall. xD She would have to be my favorite adult character. The actress does a perfect job on her facial expression.
They did a good job on both Luna ("Looney" xD) Lovegood and Tonks (Nymphadora).

I like Tonks, she's pretty cool. ^^
If Sirius were to come back later, JKR probably would have told them they might have wanted to change the spell or something.
Since she said that they wouldn't want to cut the Kreacher guy out of the film.

True, true.
I thought they did a good job on Kreacher, too. xD
spoiler for sixth and fifth book: >>In an interview with JK Rowling, she confirmed that Dumbledore was dead. She said nothing about Sirius.<<
The intern said that there would be four deaths on the good side in the seventh book, and each of them had a reason. I hope Ginny isn't one of them, though I have a feeling she is...
I read the "spoilers" that some people supposedly hacked a computer the seventh book was stored on. All of the spoilers were ridiculous. Besides, all of the computers that they store (and JK writes on) has no internet. How can you give somebody a virus..? >__>;;

The intern said that most of the characters would come back in the seventh book for one last appearance. Including all of "your foreign favorites" (meaning Fluer [obviously, >>since she's marrying Bill<<] and Krum). I'm looking forward to that.
Edit: And Madame Maxime xDD

Ho, it has been a great Potter discussion around here! ;D
I personally think that Harry and Voldemort are going to kill each other (I almost hope that Harry will die XD Because I hate Daniel Radcliffe, and that would mean he'd kinda die, too XD XD), or if not, Ginny's going to die. It would make most sense if you ask me. I hope that Ginny won't, though. D:

This is a direct quote from the intern:
"Ginny has certain...unique features that make her vitally important to the plot. It seems to me that she was basically included in the series specifically for this purpose. I'm going to push it here and tell you that she forms a metaphorical kind of triangle with Harry and Voldemort. Exactly what that means could probably be partially figured out by reading all the "heart-to-heart" conversations Harry has with Dumbledore throughout the series."
The "talks" they are talking about is when he explains to Harry that the way he survived the curse was through the love of Lily protecting Harry with her life. That love was sealed when Aunt Petunia took him in, which is what has been protecting him all this time. I'm guessing that Ginny will die for Harry's sake, saving his life.
Another quote (from mugglenet.com):
"Harry will return to the Dursleys' during the school vacation, but the magical protection Dumbledore arranged will expire when Harry comes of age on his 17th birthday."
Another quote that makes you really think:
"Can you elaborate a little bit by what he means when he says: that saying Harry or Voldie wins isn't as simple as just saying one or the other?
It's just that people aren't really thinking about exactly what each of them would consider a victory. "

I also think that Petunia is a witch. There is several clues, by both JK Rowling and the intern. They are both discreet, but if you piece both of their clues together it makes it obvious (if my theory is correct, at least).
I don't think JK even knows about the intern giving teasers. xd He said he couldn't keep it in for so long.
Quotes from the intern:
"Do we get to see the Dursleys again? Does Harry go back to Number 4. Can you divulge any other "teasers" about Harry's time spent there?
Yes, yes, and sure. I'll tell you this: the Dursleys certainly have some secrets of their own."
"When you say, the Dursleys have secrets of their own, do these secrets have anything to do with Harry?
Yeah, I guess you could say that."
Quote from JK Rowling (from mugglenet.com):
'JKR has said "There is a character who does manage, in desperate circumstances, to do magic quite late in life, but that is very rare..."'
I also heard something about her saying that when they discover her/his magical abilities it will change her/his relationships with others. It is quite known by now that the Dursleys do not like anything out of the ordinary.
