Better safe than dead. Now, Reavers don't bug me as much as sane sentient beings. I believe Reavers are just scary little shits, yes dangerous, but a normal person has the potential to be MUCH more dangerous.

Eah, I guess so.

pop-out turrets, much? I like Dino's idea for the turret on Ira, one that is probably hidden under a piece of metal, or disguised as something else until it is called upon. The turret they hooked up onto Serenity in the movie is a little too obvious...

as Sun-Tzu once said: "All warfare is based on deception."

Though you have to remember that they just put that on there so they wouldn't completely die in Reaver space. It wasn't meant for the long term, and then of course they also took it off in the end.

Oh! and I've just piled together an outline for the interior of... the freighter ship... (Hey Ed/Fes! You two should make a poll, deciding on the name of the ship 3nodding )

Three cargo rooms, each separate levels
LARGE sized elevator, going between each cargo level
crew dorms for twenty
separate and luxurious captain's quarters
Galley, large and grand
bottom of stairs: sitting area
top of stairs: bridge
bridge has spot for two pilots, plus Kirk-styled command node with lots of screens
shuttles on the sides of the second level cargo holds
third level cargo hold has access to turret
below/behind sitting area is infirmary; two med-beds
kitchen near dorms
two engine rooms, on either side of airlock door.

... :sad moment:
Okay, moving on from the movie <.<;;
Before I think about Wash any more crying

I thought the infirmary was on the bottom level (level 1)
Then I thought the kitchen was on the middle level (level 2)
I also thought that the sitting room was accessible only by going down some stairs from the kitchen, and then that was why you had to go down some stairs for the infirmary.
Oh, and I was thinking, why don't we put the captain's room behind the cockpit away from the other rooms? I think it would be easier number wise, to then work out space for twenty dorms on the other three levels (for some reason I see the cockpit higher than the third level for the dorms and cargo hold. Maybe that is because of the picture).

Also, why is Fes suddenly being grouped with my awesomeness? Is it because she is the captain and I am only the author? *gets pouty lip, then begins to plot how to overthrow Fes' sudden overthrowing of her [Ed's] amazatude.*

The Art of War was the Chinese most recent contribution to society. And that was millenia ago.

You have no idea the level of respect you just gained in my eyes by quoting General Sun-Tzu

Sorry to be modest, Dino, but I remember that quote after dying one of the many times while playing the CoD4 campaign. (every time you die in campaign, it gives you amazing little quotes that you should honestly take into consideration) I have read some of "The Art of War", but not much... finding an online version of it is harder said than done... without paying money...

and I first heard of "The Art of War" when it was the name of the flag I joined in a pirate MMORPG rofl There's a reason why I don't like orange much xd

And I respect you even more by saying that. I've given up buying from Wal-Mart when I heard they moved to China. The communists...
No, I'm not hypocritical for working at McDonald's... they're everywhere in the world...

Now for more random quotes from CoD4!!
"Cost of a single F-22 Raptor: 22 million USD"
"Cost of a single Javelin missile: 250'000 USD"
"Cost of a single Tomahawk cruise missile: 900'000 USD"
"The explosion radius of a grenade is one foot larger than your jumping range" - Infantry Journal
"If the enemy is within range, so are you" - Infantry Journal
"Friendly fire - isn't" - Anon
"The more Marines I have around, the better I like it" - some US commander
"Teamwork is essential. It gives them other people to shoot at." - Unknown
"The carpet bombing from our B-52's is very, very accurate. The bombs are guaranteed to hit the ground." - US ground crew
"Cost of a single B2 bomber: 2.2 billion USD"

... perhaps I should die less in that game... Need to watch those corners crying

Oh, I wasn't grouping Fes with Edm-- waaaiiiiiitt... bells and alarms are telling me to stop. Brain says something about trap. ... Edme, you're awesome. Don't doubt it. And yes, it has something to do with Fes being the captain of the ship, and you owning the RP. In all fairness and owed respect given.

LOL! Don't worry, she is one of my best chums even if all we ever do is give each other a lot of grief.

I like the quotes that you... quoted. But I do have issues with some.

Multiply the cost for an F22 by about four.

A Tomahawk is much more expensive than 900 grand

Try about two yards greater than your jumping range. That's why you kick 'em or put your body over them

The B-52 has the capability of putting a bomb in a pickle barrel from 50.000 feet. My dad used to be a bombardier in one.

I really like the teamwork quote.

Those were just the quotes that Call of Duty 4 gives. I'm not sure if the quotes are that accurate, but I do believe they are funny. I know they took a quote from the movie "Airplane", in the intro to the last mission he says:
"Surely you can't be serious."
"I am serious. And don't call me Shirley"

So-ooooooooooooooooooo... who's all online? <.<;; Just spent ten hours at McDonalds, about two hours of which off the clock.

You were apparently the only one here, but when it is early in the morning that is often the case xp I actually would have been on had I not had to come into work this morning, but I had to work the day shift, and the night shift... That is what happens when you have a friend from school coming to visit for five days and have to take all of those days off from work...

Anywho, I went and saw Zohan last night... burning_eyes

I think my IQ dropped to zero...

I think I can be so bold to say that it dropped my IQ more than Shoot 'Em Up did.... Must... redeem... SANITY!

Not just talk of a new ship, but a new ship. It is all very exciting.
