Lovely! I missed you in the Metal Reign Calendar *points to the thread* But now that you promise to stick around... wink Digi: you explain yourself with the use of it in your question.

Hey! I'm new here. I like many genre's of metal ranging from Progressive to Death, and any and all in between. Most notably though, is my love for thrash metal. Megadeth and Slayer being at the head of my list, closely followed by Trivium and Dream Theater as well as Mudvayne. Though, at this moment in time I would have to say my favorite song is... Holy Wars by Megadeth. Runner up being Demon by Trivium. I'm also learning how to play keyboard, no full songs yet, but I can play the opening to Dance of Death by Iron Maiden and Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin.

Welcome, Vlad. Hopefully your stay here will prove fruitful and lengthy, and that we'll be able to introduce you to some new bands or genres you may not be familiar with.

I was going to make an introduction topic, but as a good samaritan I read the Welcome topic which told me to post here. C:
Genre wise I generally fluctuate around the many styles of Black metal, and when I'm feeling adventurous I'll listen to Folk/Viking, Prog/Doom and VERY occasionally Death/grind.
I won't make a huge list, but I'll show a few of my favorites.
Black metal would be Limbonic Art and Dimmu Borgir [EDT/SBD mainly]. Folk/Viking would be Wintersun, Thyrfing, Ensiferum, Finntroll and Kromlek Progressive would be the generic Opeth; however I listen to a lot of different bands via discovering. Doom would be Doom:vs, My Dying Bride, Candlemass etc Death/grind is basically just Behemoth and The Berzerker
I also don't really consider Septic Flesh generic death metal, but they are one of my favorites. [No, not just Communion]
This post was bigger than I intended... oh well. ^^
