Some people say the plot has died because it goes by so slowly each week, by check out the manga and read 5 chapters at once. The complete feel to the story is immense and astounding! As of chapter 400 and beyond, this is really a good manga. The anime, not so much, sadly. D.Gray-Man: I adore the series. Everything from characters to story itself. This anime has that typical scandinavian or german feel to it that you can only feel in certain stories. The manga gives you the feel that the characters really are human beings, not just dolls in a play, and you will be able to relate to at least one of the many there are. However, it has STRONG influence from religion. But i can get past that, since it is only used to strenghten the plot. Go read or watch it yourself, and you will understand what i mean. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: WATCH THIS SERIES. I cant ask you to watch the other series, but please, in the name of Ra. Go watch this series. No words can do it justice. It is so over the top that you really cant compare it to any other anime, at all. It stands in a class of its own. Sorry if this sounds biased, but i am dead honest when i say that if i had to watch an anime every day, month, and year for the rest of my life, i would stick this one on repeat without a care in the world. Not really much otherwise in the whole shounen apartment. But i guess i at least had a few. :l Now lets move on *Takes a breather*. My other animes which i reccomend. I wont bother to describe them all, as that would take hours. So here is a short list: Clannad, Elfen Lied, Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuutsu, Inuyasha (Though some seem to not like it, I respect the series. I just dont see myself watching it one more time after watching it once.), Death Note, FLCL, abenobashi mahou shotengai, and Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou. I like some better than other. But these are all animes i like. I dont expect you to agree to them all or anything, as i have gotten a lot of sh!t for liking animes like Bleach, Clannad, Haruhi, Inuyasha, and Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou. Though, i hope you at least like some of them or give them a try if you havent watched them yet. xD

Or you just watch it once and call it a guilty pleasure, never to return to it again, much like me. xD Though i hated twilight so much... I tried reading it, but the awkwardness in the plot lines and the annoying main character gave me SHOTGUN DIAHRREA!... Seriously, i have never felt so damn disgusted in my entire life. It was as if the book itself was made to put you into the head of a melancholic, deluded, and incredibly annoying "emo" wannabe. I mean, I'm OK with sad stories or emotional stories that revolve around sadness and stuff like that, but NOT about a story about a girl who has no reason to be sad, yet thinks the whole world is at wrong because she wants it to be. And by Shonen jump, do you mean the magazine itself, or the series it publishes? Because i can agree on a lot of series there. xD Do they still publish Bleach? Or did they stop doing that? And yes, i also think Shonen jump in itself is crap. I bought one magazine because it was for a bargain price where i live, but damn me all it had was horrible series like yu gi oh. (Though i think the game itself is a cool concept, if only it wouldnt cost a billion bucks to start playing it in the first place). And half the magazine was devoted to crappy drawings by 6 year olds of known manga characters like Luffy and Naruto. Now why would i buy a magazine almost completely devoted to crappy fanart and trivia i already know? I mean, seriously! The drawings had little to no polish at all! It looks like they just got a pencil, drew something with their eyes closed, and sent it off with a complimentary "LOLITSNARUTOMAKEEEINGOUTWITHSASUKAYLOL" sticky note attached to the paper.

It was as if the book itself was made to put you into the head of a melancholic, deluded, and incredibly annoying "emo" wannabe. I mean, I'm OK with sad stories or emotional stories that revolve around sadness and stuff like that, but NOT about a story about a girl who has no reason to be sad, yet thinks the whole world is at wrong because she wants it to be. And by Shonen jump, do you mean the magazine itself, or the series it publishes? Because i can agree on a lot of series there. xD Do they still publish Bleach? Or did they stop doing that? And yes, i also think Shonen jump in itself is crap. I bought one magazine because it was for a bargain price where i live, but damn me all it had was horrible series like yu gi oh. (Though i think the game itself is a cool concept, if only it wouldnt cost a billion bucks to start playing it in the first place). And half the magazine was devoted to crappy drawings by 6 year olds of known manga characters like Luffy and Naruto. Now why would i buy a magazine almost completely devoted to crappy fanart and trivia i already know? I mean, seriously! The drawings had little to no polish at all! It looks like they just got a pencil, drew something with their eyes closed, and sent it off with a complimentary "LOLITSNARUTOMAKEEEINGOUTWITHSASUKAYLOL" sticky note attached to the paper. Looking back, i seem like i am raging and pissed as a rhino with a donut on it´s horn. But fear not, Seiichi does not rage. He is always in a relaxed state, chillaxing, all cool...

Thankies man! smile Hell, those retards had it coming to them for freakin years... especially Becky Fisher, & thus I'm one of the few rebels in Canada against the media & society in how it's turning everyone retarded in illicit & horrible choices. Off topic for a quickie, I'm trying to turn back into an Otaku & going back to what I was one of the biggest fanboys to: anime. I've been acting like a d**k bout it for a few years after One Piece & .hack//sign killed it for me, & I plan on starting from the 80s. Other than Fist of the North Star & Lupin III, is there any good anime from that decade you'd recommend to start off? BTW, I'm not afraid to admit this but I used to be the biggest Sailor Moon fanboy you'd be able to find. Had all the merchandise (except the costumes & dolls), which includes the scepter & tiara which I used to beat the piss out of my brother with. Nowadays, I am a hardcore anti to that for the sole reason of all the fanservice & it hasn't aged well at all. Well, i guess we have DNAngel, which i have heard is a good anime. Never watched it myself, but plan to watch it if i get the time to. Not sure if it was from the 80s or 90s though. :l My favourite old anime would definitely be Lupin. xD You pretty much mentioned every old anime i have ever watched in your post, so i cant help you there. Sorry. But if you need a shounen anime/manga, then i guess i can let you in on what i am currently reading. I am reading: Bleach: Say what you want. This is the anime that started it all for me. Some people say the plot has died because it goes by so slowly each week, by check out the manga and read 5 chapters at once. The complete feel to the story is immense and astounding! As of chapter 400 and beyond, this is really a good manga. The anime, not so much, sadly. D.Gray-Man: I adore the series. Everything from characters to story itself. This anime has that typical scandinavian or german feel to it that you can only feel in certain stories. The manga gives you the feel that the characters really are human beings, not just dolls in a play, and you will be able to relate to at least one of the many there are. However, it has STRONG influence from religion. But i can get past that, since it is only used to strenghten the plot. Go read or watch it yourself, and you will understand what i mean. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: WATCH THIS SERIES. I cant ask you to watch the other series, but please, in the name of Ra. Go watch this series. No words can do it justice. It is so over the top that you really cant compare it to any other anime, at all. It stands in a class of its own. Sorry if this sounds biased, but i am dead honest when i say that if i had to watch an anime every day, month, and year for the rest of my life, i would stick this one on repeat without a care in the world. Not really much otherwise in the whole shounen apartment. But i guess i at least had a few. :l Now lets move on *Takes a breather*. My other animes which i reccomend. I wont bother to describe them all, as that would take hours. So here is a short list: Clannad, Elfen Lied, Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuutsu, Inuyasha (Though some seem to not like it, I respect the series. I just dont see myself watching it one more time after watching it once.), Death Note, FLCL, abenobashi mahou shotengai, and Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou. I like some better than other. But these are all animes i like. I dont expect you to agree to them all or anything, as i have gotten a lot of sh!t for liking animes like Bleach, Clannad, Haruhi, Inuyasha, and Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou. Though, i hope you at least like some of them or give them a try if you havent watched them yet. xD I will see them by decade. I dunno when, but thank you for the suggestions. As for InuYasha, that is something I'm avoiding. Just not my cup of tea & the dubbers can't seem sometimes to competently know what the hell they're doing. F*** Shonen Jump completely though. He is nothing short of an Akira Toriyama rip off (in my view). Agreed. Inuyasha is like the Twilight of anime. You either love it, or completely hate it. An entire agreeance from moi, but I'd like to add a few things to that. As for the sad stories & my opinion, I don't mind them IF they're written right, the pacing is perfect for the scenes, & there's no bull**** plot holes to bog down the story (like say Blade Runner to an extent except paced faster). Unfortunately, Shonen Jump (and I mean by the animes he make, because I do not read manga & I do tend on watching the anime version of "Journey to the West" or Saiyuki) is guilty of the plot hole & skill bull****, & especially with Naruto & One Piece, but sticking to One Piece for now. How the f*** can you grip a katana's handle in your mouth while swinging 2 other katanas without breaking your teeth, let alone your jaw? Doesn't help that idiots like 4kids that dub this can't dub DragonBall after a full translation if their lives depended on it, & one of my biggest b****fests I got towards them was when they did nonstop error after error with Ultimate Muscle (out of curiosity, 4kids was known as FoxBox at the time but that's outside the point). (edit: I think I'm going to make a topic when I get off from work on what this chatroom is turning into now since it's now all about Otaku crap & it's kinda getting sickening.)
