Bornes was wracked with guilt as he listened to the conversation unfold, followed by the fight where Isiah's voice rang loud and clear. Isiah had lost. Bornes swallowed. He closed the lid and got into the smallest fetal position he could, closing his eyes and concentrating on keeping his breathing slow. He was beginning to freak out. He wasn't claustrophobic but small spaces were never that comfortable, plus... He had no idea what they were going to do when they found him. He knew they would find him. It was only a matter of time.
Tsurai ran off to search for the werewolf as soon as it was ordered of everyone else. He first went back to Isiah's home, looking everywhere. Couldn't find him. Then he began to search other places, having no luck. He was beginning to think werewolves being fierce, strong things were an urban myth.
Jiden, on the other hand, waited for Kaegan to finish speaking with Isiah, before he silently made his way up to the Alpha. "What do you mean he can't get far in the day?" he asked, softly, trying to keep the conversation rather private.

Isiah didn't know whether to stay or to go. Any movement he made would be analyzed. So, he stayed, standing awkwardly in the middle of the road, watching as people scrambled around him.
Kaegan folded his arms, watching the organized chaos, turning to Jiden a full thirty seconds after he'd asked his question. "Can't see in the day," he mumbled. "Sun sensitive eyes, I guess."

Jiden cocked his head a bit. That was weird. There weren't any nocturnal dogs he knew of. Even wolves could see just fine during the day.
"If he has sunglasses, perhaps you should think about taking them away when you find him?" He tried to phrase it as a question, to not interfere with Kaegan's dominance.
He paused for a moment, looking toward Isiah in thought. "Maybe Jane could sniff him out," Jiden shrugged.

Isiah gave Jiden a dirty look, but turned away wordlessly. Kaegan wasn't really paying attention, watching his pack scramble around him uselessly before spreading out to the outskirts of town. "Maybe," the alpha mumbled, not really taking it seriously.

Jiden shrugged again, knowing he was being ignored. If Kaegan didn't want his advice, that was fine. It wasn't as if Bornes being caught helped him anyway.
"Or maybe a dog whistle," he chuckled. "If that whole super hearing thing is true, that would be fun to see." he gave a halfhearted wave and began to walk off. "Would probably hurt Jane's ears too, though," he said after he had already walked a few steps away.
Jiden gave a Isiah a malicious grin before he left for good. The fight had proven interesting, and now he knew Isiah was not much of a threat after all.
He went back to his hut, searching through his spare parts to begin a new project. He briefly thought of something that would emit high pitched screeches at frequencies normal humans couldn't hear-- but that would've been a waste of resources. So he tried to think of what else was on the list that Kaegan wanted done for the whole clan.

Kaegan laughed a little at Jiden's offer, rolling his eyes back. "I don't think he'd come, do you? Maybe just whimper." He finally jogged off toward the far end of town where the rest of his people were searching, the camp nearly deserted as they spread out.
Isiah waited until Jiden was out of sight before he moved into Cyrus' former home, opening up the trunk gingerly. "You all right?" he whispered.

Bornes didn't look up when the trunk was open. He knew he probably wouldn't be able to see anyway, and by the voice he knew it was Isiah.
"I'm fine. Are you?" He didn't leave enough time for Isiah to answer. "Let me just give myself up, we'll both come to less harm that way!" he urged in a hushed tone, raising his head and trying to get out of the trunk by himself, his back already aching from the cramped quarters.

Isiah made no move to push him back in, but he was clearly worried and frazzled by his movement. "Don't," he hissed. "If we can wait until nightfall you can fight Tsurai again. I'll wear him out. A game or something." A game with fists. Or rocks. To the head. "And this will all be over. What do you need. Water?"

Bornes grunted, standing up after much effort. He hunched slightly, a crick still in his back.
"No, Isiah. They will know," he said, a feeling of dread coming over him. He put his hands on Isiah's shoulders and held onto the man for support as he cracked his aching back with a grunt followed by a sigh of relief, so he could stand up straight.
He looked into Isiah's eyes from behind his sunglasses. Or at least, where he thought Isiah's eyes were. Bornes could only see a vague outline of Isiah's body.
"Let me just go out there and sit, so they will find me. Despite what they will do to me, I doubt they will kill me. Then if you're still up to it, we could leave tonight. This pack business is not for us." He squeezed Isiah's shoulders and then looked down, lifting his leg, but clearly uncertain of how tall the trunk was, so he could step over it.

Isiah winced a little as Q stood up, frowning. "No," he offered quietly. "It's not for you." He helped him out of the trunk. "You can't do it. You're too weak." He winced a little at the thought. "What if we go out there and there's no food? No water? No people? What if we go and there's nothing and we have to come back here to survive, Bornes?"
He turned behind him to survey the door, turning back to him. "What if they don't leave you in good enough shape to travel?" He nearly whispered, as if his words may become truth if he spoke too loudly.

Bornes stepped out of the trunk with Isiah's help, thankful. "My specialty lies in guns, no need to rub it in," he hissed at the 'weak' comment.
"If there is nobody out there we were no worse off than when we left the vault the first time," he whispered. "If there is an encampment here, there must be others out there." He wasn't entirely too sure of that, but his voice sounded convincing enough.
Bornes kept his voice lowered, his hands left Isiah's shoulders. "Unless they break my legs I will do it," he said with determination, taking a few slow steps to where he thought the opening was. But he really couldn't tell.

"Guns are dead," he hissed, turning away from him. He stopped him as he started walking toward a wall, turning him away from light. "I don't think this is a good idea, Q. I think it's safer to do things my way."

"Stop protecting me," he hissed, pushing Isiah away. "If you want me to stay here than I will need to get stronger anyway. We lose nothing by me going outside today. If I am too hurt we will stay. If I am not hurt enough we will leave."
He turned back toward where he thought the doorway was, and continued to walk forward.

"If they break a bone," he began, quickly. "Or a rib, or hurt an organ, there aren't any hospitals, Bornes. There isn't any way to mend a broken bone out here. You're useless if you're off your feet that long. It isn't worth the risk!" He watched him walk, hands tightly tangled as he wrung his fingers.
"What is it going to take for you to get some sense into your skull?!"

Bornes turned around and shouted back: "I'm useless as it is!" It didn't click to keep his voice down. He was frustrated.
"I've been nothing but trouble to everyone," he stated. "If this is what they want to do, then maybe I deserve it."
