Alucard jolted back after hearing Loralei. The shock snapped him out of his vampire instincts and he ran upstairs looking for things to comfort Loralei, and he yanked the blanket off his bed and returned downstairs to cover her with it. He knelt down next to her, wondering if she would be okay, but his attention was drawn to the wound on her neck again. He moved his head forward, moving closer and closer to the wounds, but was stopped when Cecilia screamed, "Alu!!!"

He jumped back and hissed at Cecilia in defense. He ran to a darkened corner of the room and remained there, watching Cecilia intently with the eyes of a predator.

Cecilia didn't have time to keep her attention on Alucard and went to work on Loralei with the supplies she found. She dressed up the wound, but afterwards she found a book that she thought would act as a weapon if she needed it. She knew that Alucard wasn't being himself and could attack at any time.

((*alucard: hisses angrily*))

"Oh no!!!" Cecilia quickly ran to the kitchen to get some water and rags, and returned out to the room Loralei was in, only to see that Alucard was sitting on top of the couch, "Alu..."

He leapt off, running back to the corner like an animal on all fours. She sighed, "I guess I can't count on you to go out and find a doctor...and I certainly can't trust you if I leave Loralei here alone or with you..."

She walked over to Cecilia and dipped the rag into the water from the bowl. She squeezed out the access water and brushed it gently across Loralei's face before placing it on Loralei's forehead.

((*alucard: grumbles "at least you'll suffer a bit here..."*))

"Oh...this is not good at all.." Cecilia didn't have enough medical knowledge to help Loralei and her condition. It was something she had never seen in such severity before, "If I could get to a library and find a spell...no...that wouldn't do...Alu, you've made this tough..."

Alucard's eyes stared up at Cecilia. He had marked her as prey, and Cecilia could feel that something worse was going to happen.

((*alucard: "that was something that wouldn't have been done under normal circumstances..."*))

Cecilia went to wipe the sweat off of Loralei with the rag, and then dipped it into the water again. Alucard, on the other hand, switched back into his adult state and stood up. He walked over to the couch, seemingly towering over the two who were already there. Cecilia stumbled down, onto the floor from the shock of seeing the older Alucard, "Alu..?"

He looked down at Loralei, "You do understand why this is happening to her, don't you?"

Cecilia shook her head. Alucard sighed, as he received the answer he was expecting from her, "Pft. Of course you wouldn't know how a vampire works.. A vampire's venom is meant to keep the prey from struggling too much while it's being devoured. It only lasts for a short time though...and has a small probability of causing certain side-effects in the victim. Now if you'll excuse me, I like to finish up my meal."

"Alucard!!" Cecilia stood up and forced herself between him and Loralei, "I won't allow you to!!"

Alucard growled, "It's been a while since I've had a meal, and she offered herself."

"That's no excuse! She's been taking care of you all this time...is that any way to treat your friends?"

"...friends...I don't have any...now move!" Alucard shouted out his demand when he reached forward to remove the obstacle in his way. But Cecilia grabbed his hand and muttered something under her breath. Alucard's eyes widened as he collapsed to the floor and stayed down, without moving much.

"It took a while to remember that spell..of course you wouldn't know how it works.." Cecilia repeated the words she heard earlier, to spite Alucard a bit, "This spell was meant to be used as a leash for vampires. This is the second time I've ever had to use it on you.." And thank goodness I remembered it in time..

She went back to Loralei, "If it's true what he said, I should go figure out an antidote before the venom takes full effect..I'll have to make use of the library in this city, if I can find it."

Cecilia opened the door and walked out. Alucard couldn't do much of anything but watch and formulate plans on the methods he would use to kill her. He grumbled, "Stupid...she knows absolutely nothing about vampires..."

((*alucard: "stupid girl..." =A=* oh, yes, the side effects are whatever you want them to be x3 --if you decide to give her something, nyohoho *evil smile at loralei* >3 ))

"Stupid stupid girl..." Alucard struggled to move, but he was only able to move his head around, and the rest of his body didn't do as he wanted. He put even more effort into getting up after thinking about how Loralei would treat him after she recovers, "Da...mn..."

In the meantime, Cecilia was lucky enough to find the library quickly. She rushed inside and quickly went to do some research.

((like a side-effect, turn her into a hamster or something, lol xD *eyes glint* *w*))

"Good..you're suffering.." Alucard grinned devilishly. Then he continued his pursuit of trying to break out of the spell.

Cecilia was quick. It didn't take her long to find a few spells that could work if they were altered a bit, and she even found a few things she could use Alucard later. She dashed out of the library, "I hope that I am not too late."

((or vampire hamster 83 *alucard: "there is no such thing as a vampire hamster..."*))

"That would be the work of the venom, idiot.." Alucard rested his head against the floor. He wanted to continue, but he had exhausted himself, "Once I get free I'm going to finish you off.."

((yes 83 *alucard: "what?! i'm still a hamster?!" rolls around in his hamster ball Dx *))

"Pft..you think I didn't try to finish you off earlier?" Alucard rolled his eyes, "I've only let two people escape before, and one turned into a vampire..I don't know what happened to the other. If you do turn into a vampire, I will find a way to utterly butcher you.."
