Icarus sat on that step for a while, wondering what she was doing wrong. But as she sat there, a few small noises came to her ears. She wiped a few tears from her eyes, glancing around. There was something making noise. Like squeaks or something. The nightingale got up and walked around a little, looking for the squeaking noises. After a few moments she stopped, having not found it. Where were these noises coming from? Icarus sighed and laid down on the floor, staring up at the basement's ceiling. She laid there for a moment before realizing something. The sounds were coming from under the floor. Icarus immediately rolled over onto her hands and knees and pressed her ear to the floor, listening closely. Something was down there. The nightingale then got to her feet, taking in a breath before bringing her foot up as high as she could muster, then slamming it right into the floor. Her hope restored, she pursued this new development with vigor and determination.

Icarus continued to beat her way through the floor as the old man arrived. Though she glared down the old man, giant black wings sprouting from her back and knocking him away. "Buzz off old man! I am getting through this floor!" she declared before going back to beating on the floor. She beat and beat until her knuckles were bloody. Icarus was tired, but she wasn't deterred. The nightingale readied a flaming fist and gave one last punch. And the floor under her feet finally gave.

Icarus fell down her self-created hole into the next level. She grunted as she landed right on something. It was a table, but something was on that table. It took her a moment to reorient herself before looking to what she had landed on. And to her surprise, it was Jethrow. She smiled and removed the gag that was in his mouth before snuggling up to him. "I finally found you! I was so worried!" she then looked toe vampire in the eyes. "Do that again and I'll beat your skull in, got it?!"

Icarus nodded some and freed Jethrow from the table that the man had bound him to. Once she helped the boy to his feet, she hugged him again, not wanting him to go anywhere. She had missed him and she wasn't about to let him walk off again. Icarus released Jethrow from the hug, wrapping her arms around one of his. "Let's head back. If we don't I know something is going to ruin this nice scene."

Icarus supported Jethrow, letting him lean on her and holding him up as he stumbled slightly. As they walked up the stairs, the girl stretched one of her large black feathered wings and wrapped it around the lad's shoulders, holding him close and steadying him more. And it also made Icarus happier to keep the vampire close and not let him go. Once fully upstairs, she looked to Benjamin. "I'm going to get Jethrow into the cab. But maybe we should head on to the next town, find a hotel to rest in. It's rather late." she said, glancing up to her boyfriend before back at the Spaniard.

Icarus glanced to the man, glaring a moment before shrugging. She helped Jethrow outside and to the moped, getting him comfortable in the sidecar. "I know it's a bit uncomfortable, but you should get some sleep." she said, stroking his jet black hair softly. She then pulled a blanket over his lap and kissed his forehead before heading back into the house. Once there, she kicked the man over, placing her foot on his chest and leaning over the old man. "Listen closely. I catch you anywhere near my friends, family, or myself, I will personally gut you. Got it?" she snarled before untying the man. She then went back to Jethrow's side to wait for Benjamin so they could get going. She'd have to fly though... The moped had only room for two. Of course the bird was slightly apprehensive about flying. She hadn't really tested her wings yet.

Icarus glanced to Benjamin, who had spoken up since he had noticed her discomfort. But she smiled some. "I don't think there's another way. And I might as well test these things out if they aren't going to go away..." she said, glancing to her large raven wings. But she smiled again and reached into the sidecar, pulling out the map and giving it to Benjamin. "Here. You'll need it since you guys will be driving. I'll have an aerial view so I'll be able to see the city. And you'll know if I crash or something." Icarus said, a bit too nonchalantly. Though she was a tiny bit eager to test her new features. See how they held against the forest winds.

Icarus looked to Jethrow and giggled, patting his head rather teasingly. "Awww. It's adorable that you think you can stop me." she teased, smiling. She then looked to the dials on her moped before grimacing. "Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there's not enough gas to get to the school from here. There's a town up the road though. It's farther away from the school, but no doubt they have a gas station. We should stop and refuel. Then head back." the raven informed, looking to Benjamin before tapping on the dial a little.
