Icarus smiled some and leaned on Benjamin. "Oh come on. You like it when we're creepy." she said before laughing. As she calmed, the bird sighed a little and stayed leaning on the Spaniard. She stayed that way for some time, leaning on the boy that might as well have been her more responsible older brother. After a few hours, Icarus got back up and stretched. "The vespa should be ready to go again. You can drive now I guess." she said, rubbing the back of her neck.

Benjamin raised an eyebrow as the vespa calmed down, not even commenting on the fact that she basically napped on him for hours. When she said he could drive, he stretched and sighed in relief. He wasn't sure how much longer he could hang out in the sidecar. "Then let's get gong," he said, handing over the map.

Icarus took the map and got into the sidecar, offering the Spaniard a small smile. She opened the map and sighed. "He hasn't moved. Let's get going." she said, nestling down, hoping to see Jethrow again soon. She wanted a hug and maybe a kiss from him.

Benjamin wasted no time starting the vespa and beginning the half hour or so drive that they were facing.
Meanwhile, Jethrow was still trapped and he rolled about, his mobility constricted. Soon, the sack was pulled off of him, and he was being dragged by something incredibly strong that he couldn't see until he was strapped to a table. The constraints that were holding him down were too difficult for him to break through, and he found himself facing an older man in a messy lab coat. "Yes, you'll do just fine," the man said, chuckling.

Icarus nestled into the side car as Benjamin started off. As they traveled, she snacked on some oreos the Spaniard had bought, thinking about Jethrow. Icarus wondered what was happening to him, if he was alright. Of course through all her musings, time went by rather fast. Soon they had pulled up to a rickety old cabin. Icarus double checked the map before putting it away and going up to the door. And did she knock? Yes. With her boot. Icarus kicked the door in, not caring if someone or something heard her. "Jethrow?! Jethrow are you here?! Answer me!" she called, looking around.

Benjamin thought about holding Icarus back, just in case they were trespassing, but he decided to just let her go on. The door was already kicked in, and the cabin looked abandoned.
Down below. Jethrow was gagged, and he watched as the old man jumped with the sound of a door being banged in. There were muffled shouts that Jethrow could barely make out, and the man didn't seem to hear at all. The man tore off his coat, motioned his burly assistant to move in the corner, and started towards the secret door. The door led through a tunnel that went up behind the cabin, underneath the back steps. He hobbled into the main cabin and scowled at the intruders. "What do you think you whipper snappers are doing?" he said angrily.

Icarus began to snoop around before hearing someone shamble in. The nightingale looked to see it was an odd man. But that didn't strike her mercy any. She seized the man by his throat, fire igniting in her other hand. "Where. Is. My. Boyfriend." she demanded, glaring straight into the man's eyes, hers alight with determination and passion. "You have 10 seconds. 9.... 8... 7..." Icarus began to count down, the fire burning hotter as the numbers decreased.

The old man struggled to form words, and Benjamin leaped, grabbing Icarus's shoulders. "Stop! Stop!" he shouted, pulling his friend away from the old man and standing between them. "This is not the way to do things, Icarus." He turned towards the old man, still keeping between the two. "I'm sorry sir. We're looking for a boy, about our age. He's pale, a little taller than me, black hair and eyes. Probably dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. He's supposed to be right around here, have you seen him?" The old man shrugged. "I may have, but he ain't in my cabin I'll tell you that. Try the woods. Tons of kids party out there all the time, and they sound like his kinda crowd," the man said with a sneer.

Icarus snarled as Benjamin yanked her off and the man gave them the run around. The nightingale stormed off outside, grabbing the map from the side car. She sat on the edge for a moment, studying the map. Icarus refused to be beaten like this. So she headed back inside, following the map. After she was sure she was right on top of Jethrow's symbol, Icarus glanced up before glancing down. She was right above or below him. She just had to figure out which it was.

Benjamin tried to explain Icarus's behavior--how Jethrow had just disappeared, how it was crucial they find him, etc.--but the old man just glared as Icarus stomped around. "Maybe if you'd've come in here and been more polite I might help you find the whipper snapper, but I'm about to call some authorities in here."

Icarus looked to the old man before shrugging. "Call em. See if I give a damn. But you can ignore me about now. I just have to ask if you have any separate floors to this place." she said, sounding far more civil, her footsteps not harsh against the floor as she studied the ceiling, then the floor.

The man shook his head and pointed to a trap door a few feet away. "That goes into the cellar, which is the only other part of this place." The cellar was safe, as far as the man was concerned. It was in no way connected to his workshop.

Icarus looked to the trap door and nodded some. "Alright. Don't mind if I do." she said, opening the door and going down into the cellar. She summoned a small flame to lighten up the place so she could see. The bird then began to search every inch of that cellar for any trace of Jethrow.

The old man grumbled a little bit under his breath, but didn't let it be known that he was secretly panicking over the fact that these kids had a magical map. They won't be able to find the lab.. but will they give up once they realize they can't find him?

Icarus searched every inch of that cellar. She moved crates, knocked on walls, and everything else she could think of. Soon the nightingale sat on the bottom step of the stairs that led back up to the main level. She sat there for a moment, trying to think of anything else she could try. Tears began to fill her eyes as the situation seemed more and more hopeless. Was the map wrong? What was she missing? Icarus found herself at a loss and feeling no closer to Jethrow and more like a failure.
