Cale Darksun hey X. you could always call him Ensign Ricky... Eh, he's not in the Navy, and... Hey, what does an Ensign do/what is an Ensign supposed to do in the military? I know that they're kind of like officers-in-training, right? Besides, Johnson is more traditional for larger groups of people marching in possible enemy territory.

Ensigns are like lieutenents in the other armed forces. An ensign is the first officer rank in the navy. they oversee the crew of the ship, and often are the management of small sections, such as maitnence crew of the starboard engine and so forth.
One ring around the cuff in the US navy denotes an ensign.

But then, I also have an original charrie whose surname is Jackson. xd And, what to do in the space battle over Coruscant ... *ponders, is tapped for ideas ...* gonk

Command the Navy, or at least, part of it, against the enemy fleet?

HereticX Command the Navy, or at least, part of it, against the enemy fleet? Yeah, Mordranna commands the fighters and such. However, what to have the enemy do - or not - without being too horribly god-mode-ish.

However, what to have the enemy do - or not - without being too horribly god-mode-ish. You could defend a nearby space station that the Feddies are trying to use as a beach head. Our you can stop them from trying to send one of the space stations crashing into coruscant A'la Operation British.

"Take that, you Feddie blaster-fodder!"? I don't know, as cool a line as that is, I think I like Admiral Pellaeon saying "This is no Star Destroyer, boy! No Star Destroyer."
Speaking of Operation British and other falling orbital (large) objects, what do you suppose happened to that Destroyer she blew up and sent plunging down towards Coruscant?
"Sir! We're...headed for the Jedi Temple!"

That could be an idea ... 3nodding Or those orbital mirror thingies described in the Illustrated SW Universe. Hrm ... I shall let the gears o' me brain grind for a few. In the meantime, if anyone else has any ideas, toss 'em my way. ^^

the only problem with an Operation British attept on the Big C is that it has a mega powerful planetary shield. Im guessing it could take a Star Destroyer or two.
I remember the Good admirla saying that. I just can't remember where.
