The fourth member was a younger kid, with small limbs and a girlish figure. He stumbled forward after being pushed by one of the beaters, and he gripped the book, nervously looking at Jethrow. Jethrow was curled up, in a defensive position, with his eyes closed. He waited for the words. Soon enough, the spell was recited, but the boy jumbled some of the words.
Jethrow held his breath as the spell took effect, and he felt himself sucked into the vortex that would deposit him somewhere at random. He felt the back of his connect with something hard and suddenly he was knocked out cold.

The next morning, Icarus was up bright and early to meet Jethrow for some breakfast, as their routine had developed. But when she got to the dining hall, she couldn't find him anywhere. She looked around the room, checking every seat, and even asking a few students if they had seen the vampire. No one had apparently. So the bird, now worried for her new boyfriend, headed up to Jethrow's room. She knocked, but received no answer. Another knock yielded the same result.
After a while, she picked the boy's door open, only to find it empty. Icarus carefully walked into the room looking around. Had he even gotten there last night? Nothing looked any different. The mercury haired girl sat on Jethrow's bed, worrying out of her mind now as she hugged one of his pillows. Where had he gone?

When Jethrow woke up, he found himself in a damp and dark cave. Which was a relief, considering that he could see the sun from where he was, which meant he was safe. When he turned around, he saw the boulder that had knocked him out in his transport. His wounds had healed overnight, leaving him stiff but healthy. "Now where the blood hell am I?"

Icarus had sat in the vampire's room for who knows how long. Soon she got up, still holding Jethrow's pillow and headed to Benjamin's room. She knocked on his door, glancing down the halls before hugging the pillow some to try and comfort herself. She on the very verge of tears. When the Spaniard answered his door, a few tears had leaked from Icarus's eyes. "I think Jethrow left..." she murmured, glancing down at the pillow she held, holding in a sob as the reality of it sunk in for her.

Benjamin was still sleeping when Icarus knocked on his door, but as soon as she said that Jethrow had left, he hugged her tightly. He then led her into his room, and let her sit in a comfy armchair that had just appeared. "What happened?" he asked, crouching in front of her and waiting.

Icarus nestled into the hug before being led inside and sat in an armchair. The girl wiped her eyes some, trying not to keep crying with what worry she felt. She was supposed to be all tough and unmovable. Crying didn't help that. She hugged Jethrow's pillow once more. "M-Me and Jethrow went out last night, had a night on the town. It was great. Went to a flea market, got some food, went star gazing. Nothing went wrong." she explained, sniffling and wiping her eyes again. "But when I woke up this morning, I couldn't find him. So I went to his room, and nothing had been moved or anything which meant he never went to his room." the bird said, starting to sob again, glancing to the Spaniard. "Did I do something wrong?"

"You didn't do anything wrong, anything at all!" Benjamin said, standing and reaching in to hug Icarus again. "You did nothing at all, I promise. If anything, he made an idiotic choice. Look, we'll go down to the garage, see if he left a note or if there was a struggle or something, and then if we don't find anything or we can't find me we talk to the headmaster, okay?"

Icarus returned the hug before drying her eyes again. She nodded to the Spaniard, getting back to her feet and hugging the pillow again. She then led Benjamin down to the garage and to her vespa. Nothing looked any different... But she started to look around for any clues at all.

Benjamin was also looking, and he found that the door was slightly open. "It looks like he left on foot, but I don't know how to track him, honestly," he said, pushing open the door and staring out at the driveway to the school and the forest beyond.

Icarus looked to Benjamin as he gazed down the driveway. She thought for a moment before heading out of the garage. She headed up to her room and grabbed a duffel bag and packed Jethrow's pillow into it with a blanket, her wallet, some extra clothes, an umbrella, and some food. She then grabbed the charm that she had gotten from the headmaster. She had gotten Shiro to recharge its magic so it was as strong as ever.
Icarus soon came back to the garage and plopped the duffel bag into the vespa's side car, reattaching it to the main vehicle. She then put on her helmet and goggles, glancing to Benjamin. "I'm going to go find him. And give him a piece of my mind." she said, revving her vespa's engine.

Benjamin quickly moved so that his hand was on the handle of her vespa. "You can't just go alone! He could be in danger, and that would put you in danger. At least let me come with you." There was no question in the Spaniard's tone, just conviction. He was absolutely not going to let his best friend go out on her own when she had no idea where she was going or what she was getting herself into.

Icarus looked up at the Spaniard and sighed deeply. She let her vespa idle, placing a hand on Benjamin's. "What about Sophia? You have to stay and watch over her. What if the school gets attacked again? You have to protect her. Besides, you just hooked up. Don't go ruining the relationship on my account." she said with a slight smile, trying to lighten her own mood. Though Sophia needed Benjamin. Icarus had beaten like seven vampires to death with her own fists. She suspected she'd be fine.

Benjamin shook his head, stubborn as always. "If the school gets attacked, there'll be enough enchantments to fry an army to protect her. And don't count her out; she's not a weakling. You can't do this alone; at least not the searching part. He could be anywhere, Icarus."

Icarus sighed softly and moved her duffel bag, and slinging it over her shoulder. "Here. Get in." she said, awaiting the Spaniard. Though Jethrow had a problem with riding in the side car, hopefully Benjamin wouldn't.

It wasn't Benjamin's top travel choice to ride in a sidecar, but at least she was letting him come. Smiling, he climbed into the car and pulled his knees up, since his legs didn't fit in completely. "If I fall asleep don't let me fall out."
