Kat wiped her forehead, it was hot in the little hospital they had created. They hadn't been open long when they started to recieve patients. At the moment there was nothing to heavy, but they were expecting bad injuries at any moment.

But what they had was good practice. And she felt good being able to do soemthing for others. She hadn't pierced her ear in ages.

She was currently bandaging the arm of a small boy, who had burnt it trying to get his mother's attention at the stove. His mother was off badgering Moonstone, saying that "A child" should dnot be treating her precious sun. Kat rolled her eyes. And attmepted to cheer the boy upa bit. "I am the very model of a modern Major-General, I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral. I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical from Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical!" She was happy since it was goofy enough to make the boy smile though his tears.

For a split seconf she wondere just where Marathon and Waterloo where. But the thought left her mind as she finished the bandaging.

Ensconced in her room actually studying another drow with violet eyes heard the commotion downstairs and was very unhappy about it. She slammed her book closed and shoved off the bed, grabbing the ever present daggers from the table beside the bed and jerked open the door. "What is all this Lloth damned racket?!" Her steps carried her to the stairs where she quite literally smacked right into Piper. After reaching out a hand to steady her and keep her from tumbling backwards, her eyes narrowed. "Piper? What in the name of Lloth is going on around here? I can't concentrate and why does it sound like Kimmuriel is downstairs?" Yes, she remembered his voice from their brief meeting in the Underdark and she had been so intrigued because Kimmuriel shared her oddly colored eyes.

"What's wrong, dear Meilikki? I thought you would appreciate this form." He bent over her form, looking into her staring eyes. "Isn't this something you've wanted to see? Hmm? The son of Lloth, right here in all his glorey.

How cute, she was shaking her head. Oh, were those tears? Even better! How very delicious this was. His brother must be turnign over in his grave now.

He grabbed her chin again, holding her still while he blocked her mouth with his. "Don't you worry, dear Meilikki. I'll make things very painful for you."

Moonstone was starring at the mother infront of him. There was no way his little getup had worked this well...what was the woman, blind? He had done as he had told his brother, put on a clean lab coat, and placed a pair of round framed glasses on his muzzle. But of course, people were still hesitant to appraoch him...this mother was weird.

"Kat is doing an excelent job. HSe already has your sun fully bangaged and will perpare an ointment to lower the swelling later. Your son right as rain."

Wham. Ow that hurt. Piper shook her head as her own hand had reached out to steady herself as well. No one wanted to tumble backward down some stairs now did they? She didn't look happy at all, first TArathiel comes and then commotion of things. It wasn't goign to go good. "Because Tarathiel is here, and where ever he goes, chaos follows like wolves to blood." She crossed her arms lightly, trying to turn a blind eye to whatever may be happening...but of course eavesdropping with a bond.

Malik stepped back only a bit.

"Is that so. Fine."

A silent command, wards activated. light shield in full force, heat shiled as well, and the golem started thier move. Malik only tood still. stalamites and catapult artliery wouldn't hit his home at least.

"Son of Lloth, I never took you for a fool, who is so desperately in love with the Oracle it clouds his thinking."

Both Malvolence and Ebony were unsheathed and prepared, while the ground aroudn them moved. undead orcs fromt eh previous assault on his home rising to fight for a new master. the dead breakers rising, adn other dead animals and the like as well.

"Want to fight the dead? by all means do so. If I coudl have gotten into your home I would have the day I went to see her before, without a second thought. Who woudl forge it? oh gee. anyone who woudl pit two Drow agasint eachother for personal amusement or gain? You sister, so you woudl be distracted? any of your siblings, looking to take advantage? hell that list goes on and on, Kimmuriel."

Malik wasn't going on the offensive, he was playing defense for now.

"Like I said. I've no love for you, Kimmuriel. if I had your oracle, I'd have killed you. you're letting your petty emotions cloud your judgement, like any human when you press the right button."

It took her a moment to remember that Kimmuriel as she knew him was Tarathiel as well and she ran her fingers through her hair agitatedly after ensuring that Piper was not going to tumble backwards. "Don't...Tarathiel and Malik hate each other?" That was an intelligent observation, now wasn't it? Especially at the sounds of raised voices and angry battle sounds. "I meant why is he here? Unless it's just to randomly attack for no reason whatsoever." But then Malik could have given him a reason, he'd done it before. But she left them wedding planning and then the next thing she knew all chaos had broken loose.

"Yes, very much so and very much at odds with one another." THough seh was quite thankfull she had her bow on her, just in case it may be needed for her own aid. She knew far too well that Malik wouldn't appreciate any help in goign head to head with Tarathiel...it was a male pride thing. "Apparently, the Oracle is missing and we're the ones that kidnapped her. I must have stuffed her in my closet and forgot about it..." Sarcasm bred from annoyance. "I suggest you don't get involved...they're men on a pride thing..."

Kat put on a rather blank and dumb exptression.

"Oh Doctor!" She cooed and held out a small container filled with an ointment. well there wasn't much to it but mint, but it would shut the mother up. the wound wasn't bad anyways.

"Here's the ointment." She said unnessesarily.

From the moment the shield rose, five points of light burst from the ground, and rose steadily into the air. Each point was exactly ten miles away from the centre of Malik's fortress. The points connected with each other to create a star pattern, which literally stripped the magic from that area.

"Unless of course Malik, This was an ambush for you." The drow smiled, and watched as the undead literally decomposed from the destruction of the necromatic energies that provided them with life. "I can't stand the sight of drow so easily manipulated as you." A smile tilted across his face, "Surprised, no. You are not an idiot, just a fool who loves. Innoruk hates those that love, and plots against them, or did you forget?" The barrage of missiles impacted on the now diminished keep.

"Your silly infatuation with a surface/s**t-elf has cost you your most powerful ally, and your half hearted desire to protect that which you claim to be yours has lead to your own destruction." The orkish horde began to march over the hills towards the fortress, perhaps a few hundred or a thousand goblin and kin.

Tarathial crossed his scimitars, "And your lack of knowledge of Broad swords is a pain in the a** as well, you mock all duel wielders with your abuse of their magical properties to make up for the fact that you are not swinging them correctly because your body can't move in the manner which is required to use a broad sword efficiently in both hands, you forget that it is the wieght of the strike that is valuable to the weapon's attack, you would have been more wise to use a shorter or lighter weapon in your off hand so that you would not ruin the strength of your main hand's power, it is physically imposible to wield two b*****d Swords without diminishing their strength." The drow spit on the ground. "Your lack of martial knowledge disguists me."

He stood eagerly, "Oh, I hope that you like the anti-magic field I errected arround your keep. Unless of course, you would rather me use my wizards in actual combat? But, that would let you have your useless undead minions, and golems, and necromancers, the weakest of all specialist mages, and clerics, to help you?" The cranks of the artillery began to be pulled, not that any other than the elves could hear.

"And why, you might ask, because you simply piss me off with your arrogance and un-drow worthy attitude." The end? Or not.

"Perhaps, we can solve this more peacefully, because I think the wealth you paid Roarke for your defences should buy you some time, as all you paid for was a temporary delay. Remember how easily a stray Beholder got into your keep? Not that I had anything to do with that, I figured the anti-magic field it created would show you that every fortress is protected but never enough."

"Give me... oh who am I kidding, I'm doing this to impress that beauty Zahara." A pause, "Or maybe because I like the idea of going to the Land of Milk and Honey beyond your little portal, not that I expect a warm welcome, but you never know how knowledge of such a portal spread by the gods would impact the locals. I told you to take it down, but pride seems to be your hubris, blue surface elf."

"Don't scream, dear Meilikki. I am being as gental as any other drow would be."

"You should be happy. You are mother of the next great empire."

"Why are you calling out for your commrads? I'm right here."

He laughed.

I held her wrists; she was the sacrifice to the gods and I would use her divinely. She could not move. She could not resist. Held in place by mere shackles, she could not conquer, could not control, could not be all that she was bred to be, not but mine. Red hot embers erupted from my mouth: it was a specticle of imperial wrath, wherein great tounges of pain flared from out the dossier in the rythmic chanting. Pyres and ash danced like candlelit Coriolis up the coast of some familiar, forested territory, bending timber under the full force of my iron fist.

Moonstone smiled as he took the ointment from Kat and gave it to the mother. "See? Kat has everthing under controle. AS long as you use the ointment once a day, the pain will stop and your son will be just fine." He smiled in a reasuring way.

The orcish horde streamed past the lone drow, intent to kill and hungry for blood. Straight to fortress, kill and be killed, they did not care. Their objective was simply that, to kill, to destroy. They doors were open, and the filed iniside.

She shook her head, "Kidnapped the Oracle..? Why would you do such a foolish thing when everyone knows she's Kimmuriel's? Even Malik, as idiotic as he can be, wouldn't do something so blatantly stupid." Yes, Zahara had been apprised of all the little things she'd needed to know about this area of the Underdark. In Lloth's little world only she existed but outside it, many others did and it was wise to know your potential enemies before their swords were at your throat. Hands hit her hips and she rolled her eyes in disgust, "No, I'll stay up here though I'm not happy about it. But at that sound, neither of them are happy and neither of them would do anything but resent an intrusion into the battle. Men.." she leaned back against the wall and listened as the shouts rang out and two males blustered on.

Eliot paused for a moment, and sniffed at the sea air. She looked left, and then right. For a moment, she had felt her heart was in pain. but it was gone now and she could not figure out what it was.

Kat smiled toothily, then left to the small deks in one corner. She opened a leather bound black book and quickly jotted down the date, the boy's name, his injury and whta she did for him. She smiled up at moonstone and his rediculous outfit.

She then almost pranced to the small waiting room they had curtained off to inuire abotu the next persons injuries. She groaned though, it sounded like another urin infection, it was a pretty common ailment, but she hated doing the tests. She allowed her self an inner shudder and escorted the elderly man to a bed to be examined.

"Well. you overlooked something. Piper is still in teh building. she dies, you die, and so does your oracle. is it worth the risk? and I was using weapons liek this for a while, and effective enough. it's you that make me ill. you're nothing without your armies and your wizards to do your work for you. without your magical toys and siblings and other such garbage. without your oh so precious oracle you become a human with black skin. striking out in a temper tantrum."

He sheathed both blades.

"I was fighting long before I was given Malvolence. and I'd fight if I lost it. go back to your wargames and powermongering and your magical trinkets that you can't live without. enjoy your plague. I was willing to die long before I got here. and if dying takes you with me, that's just bonus. and at least 'surface trash' is still elven, human lover."

Malik simply turned his back and went back into his home, nevermind the orcish legions or the bombardments, and left it at that. He didn't have the oracle, and he wasn't going to take on the whole Drow empire because of the delusions of Kimmuriel. He coudl always go to Andal with Piper, destory the gateway once through. he didn't need this plane or Kimmuriel's attitude right now.

Tarathiel watched Malik walk away. "Are you a complete idiot? No magic, no trinkets. If I was nothing without them, why did I remove them." He sighed. "I guess I'll have to clean up then." He looked about, and pulled out his hand crossbow, unloaded it, and placed a magnesium arrow on it. Nonmagical tricks still functioned. He shot it into the air, which signaled the another plan of action. So many plans, for an instrument of chaos. The sound of marching began, as two Drow cohorts began to assult the goblins.

The overly well equiped drow soldiers easily slaughtered the primitively equiped goblins. The army of green was marched straight to Malik's keep, and slaughtered mercilessly. Once at the doors, the small armies merely marched backwards away from the keep. The orcs and goblins inside could be Malik's problem. They were after all, only orcs and goblins.

"I had more faith in him than that." Tarathiel said to the drow that approached him.

"There are more direct ways to challenge him to duels."

"But I like armies."

"Which makes you still a child." The drow brushed his wide brimmed hat against his knees, "Well, I guess we can leave then."

"To the caves."

"What about your castle?"

"It doesn't work."

"That's what I would of thought. Apparently Tarathiel isn't thinking his best right now, what with Drow supposedly so cunning and knowledgeable and all...no offense." It was unbelieveable, they couldn't get a break at all...her mind half drifted to a place she used to call home. Her father would help...but she didn't want to get him or her mother or a whole cross planar war started. She'd rather have her parents believe all was well and dandy. Though she turned to see not the happy sight of orcs and what not. "For the love of elvish gods!" Really reconsidereing the banging of her head on the wall again. "Malik, pest problem!" Because he was oh so casually strolling back in wasn't he? She was content to stay upstiars and try to stay out. Let slaves and breakers and what not tend to it. A look to Zahara. "You can keep me company while I brood."
