*sleeps for 6 hours and sobers up*
Visual Novels are a type of videogame where the storyline and routes you take are based heavily on certain options you make throughout the game. From there you are able to reach various endings, unlock different scenes, woo girls etc.
The really good games have awesome plots, some that are made solely to make the reader emotional, and there are those types that the game is based solely on adult scenes.

When I hear 'Visual Novel' I think of....well, frankly....books
They're visual, they're usually novels, it works
They should call 'em Interactive Novels or something

Good lord man you haven't been playing Higurashi have you? The anime is bad enough to watch and experiense the story, the game must be brutal.
Oh and hey... I'm here again. How about me dissapearing for a few days again... nothing new for me but yeah
I hope everybody's Halloween was great.

@TRG: Yeah Fate/Stay Night is a really popular one. One that I'm currently torrenting.
@Dart: I don't even want to touch Higurashi. It's... psychotic.

So far I have the complete first season and I'm collecting the manga of Higurashi.
The Curse Killing arc is the least favorite one. Just... so much.... non-likeablility..... AHH! My fingers! The nails! *flails wildly and runs off*

Huh. A game. >_> Go figure. Isn't Fate/Stay Night an anime or manga or something too...? Or maybe not... >_< I see the characters and references to it everywhere, but I've never actually seen...it....?
;_; I read the first book of Higurashi and stopped in pure terror. Why would someone write an entire series based on the entire place being killed multiple times in different ways? This is just cruel and unusual. D:
Anywais, I may disappear for a bit~ I gots a trip to Hawaii starting tomorrow. =3 Not that any of you worry about me. I'm just bragging about my good fortune and planning.

@purple: I just had to tell you that I love your avi. It's very pretty. ^^ I never got into Higurashi either. I like the abridged anime series though. XD
Hawaii...? *thinks of the 30-something degree temperatures where she lives and wishes she could stow away* ='(
