"Oh, it was marvolous schem! Took years of refinement and research. To find out exactly who would recieve the highest concentration of power after so long. Her blood was so terribly diluted. And I only had to wait a few hundred years for you be born. Magnificent day that was. The plans were set then. Oh oh, Then you came to Deep Water, and it was the perfect time to snatch you up. What without that dragon by your side. A creature made for a demi-god, who has the potential to hurt a demi-god. I had to get around him, oh yes." He walked with one hand behind his back, the other at his chin.
"And then! Low and behold I find my mother is pro-creating again. Foolish slut. She can never stay in her realm very long. Oh but how worthless the was offsrping. She granted him nearly none of her power. He hardley did any good as a pawn. But, in the end I got what I needed from him. Mother's gentics from that silly Warren character." He scoffed. "I should have killed the runt, but then it was rather fun watching that little conduit brat suffer, wasn't it?"

The enflamed Ogre simply tried to smash the little elf. the other...well he didn't comprehend 'fetch' and looked at Tarathiel like he'd just asked a fish to breath out of water. they didn't feel pain, after all.
Malik looked at Piper and got up, smirking lightly.
"I can use a bow just as well as any."
So she wanted to see him play with a bow. joy. following her lead, adn heading o the archery range in the arena.
The golems didn't move. After all, as far as they had been instructed, Tarathiel was an ally. other slaves didn't pay too much attention, Malik was prone occasionally to take out anger or frustration on a slave. so they just assumed that Breaker had done something to piss Tarathiel off.

"Sure you can, put your skills to the test then, Malik D'Vinn." Yes she liked taunting him...but also knowing that she could probably best him in any show or archery, she just wanted to see if he would give her a run for her money and put her teasing in place. A bow and quiver was duly shoved to him as Keely popped up with her own. That girl was oh so useful.

The breaker's head fell from its shoulders before it moved far, and the other guard quickly joined him. The drow looked at the doors, and held out a pair of scimitars. The one in his left hand had a very plain look, the one in his right hand glowed softly with a purple light. The doors were heavily enchanted, the walls too, the entire atmosphere had some form of spell on it, but that did not concern this drow at the moment.
He turned around and left the gates, his swords out. When he was far enough away he waved them upwards, which signalled the alternate plan.
Some of the the stalagmites fell from the ceilling, and towards the gates of Malik's keep.

Malik picked up the bow and quiver and tossed it on his shoulder...but that stopped quick. the sound ot falling stone cured that problem.
"what in the name of Innoruuk's cauldron is it this time?"
A from, though the stalagmites didn't actually impact, they were caught in golem hands and claws. but the point got across. One slave ran to Malik coming back up, and a brief description, and Malik had his armor summoned to himself and was wearing both Malvolence and Ebony, and opened to door with a great deal of annoyance.
Especially at the dead Breakers. those things weren't cheap damn it.
"What is it, Kimmuriel. and you could ask them to get me, as opposed to kill them. you should know they are simple creatures."
Bow on his back with a quiver as well. boy did he look like he was looking for a fight.

"Roarke was ever so helpful too. He came right here for me. I snatched the cells from him when he tried to attack me. After all, he is the ancestor of my brother, somewhere in his genteics I would find what I neede to make myself...myself!" He chuckled in a high picthed voice.
"And the conduit child of course. Used her raw chaos to make this obsurd plan work. I had her from the start you know. Malik was trading her to me for a handful of soulless. Then the boat was caught by the chaos and those plans were extended a bit."
He sat down on the bed again, grabbing Meilikki's chin. "And you. You to let me see where everytihng I needed was, what everyone was doing." He laughed once more. "Then I let you all go. Made me look weak, didn't it? easy to defeat, maybe even decieve. And then the drow prince went and wrapped you all up in a present for me. How nice of him to keep an eye on you for me." His face grew sour.
"I was concerned, for a time, that he might take from you what I needed. But," he stood, flipped his wrist in the air, "his...fear put my mind at ease."
Again on the bed, nearly brusing her this time as he tilted her head, spekaing into her ear. "Your first child, will be mine."

Piper turned to the wall...contemplated banging her head against it a moment and then decided against it, quiver and bow slung over her back she went and followed Malik, goign to see what wonderful Hell had been delivered to thier door. Though upon seeing who she was, she gave an audible noise of her disgust that he was here. He never came bearing gifts. Hm, who'd she hate more? Tarathiel or Sevilin?

"Co'nbluth seem to have trouble following simple tasks." Replied the drow, his voice more or less, completely emotionless. "You kidnapped the Oracle." The drow spun, his cloak waved in the air, his head gleamed with a green jewel set in he centre of his forehead. "Give her back, or suffer the consequences."

Her eyes hurt terribly from disuse. She hadn't seen a thing since she was five. The amulets that she used was not anytihng close to sight...the room was a blur, slowly comming into focus. The dim light hurt.
It was dark, the bed a four poster, its fram made of cold iron. Her wrists were shackled to the wall above her head, her ankles to the bed posts. She was given enough slack to struggle, not enough to get into a comfortable position.
Strange statues were strewn about the room, most of the Sky father, their purpose obviously to banish any influence of the Earth Mother on Meilikki's eyes. Candles and furs were tossed here and there, giving the room a perverted romantic feel. Silks...she was wearing sheer silks. For someone who covered as much as their body as possible, this itself was embarrasing enough to strike her dumb.
The lich talked, she couldn't believe it. All of them...each person she had tried in some small way to protect...had walked the rope he had laid out for them.
She shut her eyes tight, refusing to speak...resusing to look...wishing....
"Hmm? Why did you close your eyes, sweetheart? This is a wonderful occasion. Here, soon, I will begin to gain everytihng my brother was given. Not just a legacy, an empire!" He leaned over, and with a thumb, lifted her eyelid. "Don't you know? The magi and oracle line spreads all over the udnerworld. There are few who do not have their genitcs poluted with their blood. In essence, they have power over everything. over every deal, every trade...every monarchy! Everything belongs to the magi, to the oracle. Soon, well change that." He placed a hand on her stomach and drummed his fingers. "It will all start with you."

Malik stepped down off the front steps, and walked over to Kimmuriel, standing near as was reasonably safe and within reach.
"Kidnapped the Oracle. how did I do that? your home is wared enough to be seen across planes. I have no way through the outer wall without a serious risk. and if I had taken her, not only woudl I have known you were coming, but you certainly wouldn't have been giving the opportunity to kill two of my breakers. they are a bit expensive to replace due to desensatizing."
then a small smirk.
"But lets say, I somehow got into your home, took the oracle without a single being noticing me and reporting to you or capturing my or killing me. I got past your iksar, your minotaur, the kobold, and that elven archer of yours as well as your own drow crew, not to mention through the walls without havign to smash a big hole in them. you think I woudl keep her here? I know about your sister, Kimmuriel. I know about her from your own thoughts, and from the dead drow that we interrogated in your murder attempt."
Walking aroudn him some, noting the cloak. not bad. black dragon, probably.
"Why wouldn't I solidify myself with her, and through her access earn more money or gain a few more allies or get a drow crew for myself and turn the oracle over? for her visions? I know the score, Son of Lloth. and so do you. I fall, or Piper falls, the plane goes with us. that leaves me in an interesting position. why would I need her vision, when only a madman, who is dead, would think to strike me down? use your brain, Kimmuriel. Who else knows about your fortress, and the Oracle. who can slip in and out without being noticed. who has that kind of gift?"
And stopping again.
"Whom else would even have any tie or use for the Oracle? teh one Warren..he's with you. Roarke has nothing agasint you, and woudln't kidnap his cousin he cares for and put himself and her in danger. that leaves on direct connection to her. and he just so happens to have a unqiue gift that coudl give him the ability to get past your defenses. and his name?"
A pause there, to see if Kimmuriel was getting the same conclusion he was.
"Din."

That was in interesteing one, they had kidnapped the oracle, could she laugh. No really, could she? "Well this is just great, out of the frying pan and into the fire to quote a human." Why did that just figure...because this whole place was in chaos. No surface, missing oracles, detestable drow and foes around every corner. Sometimes she was regretting coming here at all. With a shake of her head she turned from them both...well there would be no fun for a while again would there? Put plans back on hold and cancel all reservations one may of had, there was more to deal with.

Reasonably safe was much farther away than anyone within the underdark at present.
Tarathiel's left hand slide the scimitar back into its sheif slowly, and then pulled out a piece of parchment. "Writen by a blue skinned ***** who wields a b*****d's sword, and you are the only one I know. The ransom note. Give her back by the count of ten, then you will find out how well your lies can protect you from the wrath of the Son of Lloth." The drow's eyes flashed lavender, "And no, I am afraid if this were truly just a hoax to get me to attack you, someone need only ask me to."

He squiented his eyes, looking at Meilikki's ace a moment. "What's this? Thinking about your lovely drow friend? Wishing he'd come save you? Oh well," she smile rather evily. "I think I can mange one part of your little fantasy."
He passed a hand over his face, and when said hand came away, he looked completely different from before. Wearing the same clothes...but his skin had turned ebony, his hair had come untied and flowed white to shoulders, unevenly cut. His ears pointed, his eyes turned lavender....
Meilikki starred at this new development...but she wasn't certain what she was looking at. For so long she had not seen colour that she didn;t know what it truly was, and because her amulet did not let her see in any conventonal sense..well she wasn't certain what she was supposed to see...
"Not enough for the blind eh? How about.....this." His voice changed...and soemtihng else too.
A familiar smell tweaked at her nose....and then his voice registered, and her eyes widened.
"T-Tarathiel?"

Malik looked unimpressed.
"please. that's all you have? that's your reason. A note written in my hand, for a ransom? do tell, what did I ask for?"
Malik's hands rested on his blades, however.
"We forge notes all the time. You do it and I've done it. a single note isn't s**t for proof. but fine, you think she's here? how is it your standing there then? if I had the Oracle, I'd be using her the same way Dimitri did. I'd know you were coming, how, and I'd have already killed you. I'd even had other plans for your seperate actions."
"Why would I let you come here and threaten me, when I coudl have killed you, taken Deepwater from Jiscal, and Honoursfield, increased my own empire? you're emotions are screwing with your rational. I know you hold her dearer than you woudl admit for fear of your sister."
Then a gesture to his home.
"all those trinkets you gave her, all that protection? surely you can track her? what about your Minotaur? the Oracle serves teh Earht Mother, same as him. her divine influence should be able to find her. after all, I serve a god not of this plane. I have no means to disguise her presence. Din is a possessor. he has the ability to literally move in and aout through other living beings. and he's Dimitri's biological child. makes sense he might be getting payback for his Father's demise. and he coudl move through your home as easily as you could."
Then a narrowing of eyes.
"But if you choose to fight, then I'll fight. You gain nothing in my death, and you waste your time. I don't have the Oracle. If I did, I'd have killed you by now."

The drow tossed the sheet of parchment aside, "But who would forage such a document, and bother leaving it for me to find, should I be able to go ask them themselves with all my magical aid."
"The Warhammer said you took her, The Mages said you took her. Roarke said you took her. Your mind said you took her."
"And now, I will take her from you."
"The Drow always Lie." With this last phrase, Tarathiel's scimitar whipped out of his sheif, and cut horizontally through the air in front of him, sparkes ignited and flashed. Another signal.
More stalagmites began to fall, these much larger than the first wave. Smoke began to rise from the ground, as though a great machine was pumping it out from the surface of the rocks. The sound of a thousand, thousand people shouting 'pop' echoed throughout the underdark all about them, along with the noise of cranks turning, and releasing. A barrage of flaming pitch rose in to the air, from thirty degree angles around the keep.
"Oh, Ten." Added the drow, who's eyes flared the deepest shade of lavender that Malik could ever imagine. The sounds of thirty wyverns began to cry over the land, as well as the growing chatter of goblins and orcs.
