Point Nadir, Outside Zietta's Palace

She's tempted to laugh. Her? Steal and take his ship? For what reasons? She tells him just that.

"You silly boy. Why on earth would I want your ship?" Once he is situated standing up, and most likely still in pain, she re-focuses the blaster on him, knowing full well that he is in no position to go anywhere. "Actually I was just planning on using you as a hostage and way off this wretched piece of floating rock. Unless," she pauses and looks around the area before focusing back at him. "Unless you want me to take your ship and leave you here. On the ground. In the open where anyone can find you and or kill you for their own pleasure, to say the least. I suppose death would be preferable to everything else that could possibly happen." She goes on to mention several and rather unpleasant ways of torture and other unbearable acts that lifeforms can inflict on each other, resulting in the maximum amount of pain and agony while keeping them alive as long as possible.

"Now here's my deal. And you only get one choice. Give me a lift out of here, or I leave you to the dogs of this god forsaken planet"

Stranger's Ship

Sephis stared at the blonde woman for a moment, not really looking at anything particular about her. More like just gazing. Then he glanced down, realizing he was staring, and fixated on her question and her offer of water.

"I feel drugged," Sephis remarked. "Like I just woke up from a nap after a having a very bad headache..."

Sephis sat up slowly. It wasn't painful for him to do so, but his muscles felt tight, as though they hadn't been much use to him lately. They were tighter than usual after a night of rest.

"Water... Would be nice..."

Sephis brought his knees up to him on the cot, and crossed his arms over them, burying his face in them. He had that sensation of-- what was the phrase-- sleeping like a Gamorrean. Gears were still grinding in his mind, he wasn't fully alert, yet, and he could really use a pick-me-up.

Red Birth -- hyperspace

He was so... trusting for a Sith. He'd yet to react nearly as angry or violently as she'd been preparing herself for mentally, but it wasn't yet too late. He didn't seem to remember much, either. It was possible that he didn't remember anything from that elirium and, now that she thought of it, very likely. She remembered, though she still wasn't sure how much of it she should read into for the sake of her sanity or her safety.

"You've been asleep awhile. You're lucky it wasn't the permanent kind of sleep, though." And she left it at that. If she didn't bring up the matter of how he came to be laying on a glassed planet surface dying of exposure to radiation then he didn't need to, either. She found herself watching him sympathetically as he appeared to struggle with clearing the sleep from his thoughts. Seeing as he wasn't in much condition for many questions, Malo handed him the water and then leaned against the wall to continue.

"I'm Malo..." She repeated, "But I already said that, didn't I?" Nervousness addled her own brain, which was very bad while a Sith was on board. With a swallow she spoke again and looked for the comfortable cavalier skin she used whenever she was too nervous to trust her own. "This is my ship, Red Birth. Don't ask about the name, she came wth it and I never got around to re-naming her. I found you on that rock that used to be a planet. You were in bad shape, but you were lucky that I just happened to have a fair supply of medicines... maybe unlucky for you I have no idea how to use any of them. You seem to have recovered miraculously, though. "

She tried to sound casual as she ommitted certain details; the how's about her finding him, getting him onto the ship, and the brief, but slightly terrifying, conversation before he slipped into a coma-like sleep. est he not know about her Jedi training and, to served the same purpose, best she let him go on letting her 'believe' it was luck that saved his life, not the force.

Though, to do that, their conversations would need to be a lot shorter than she was apparently capable of making them.

"I'm heading to Nar Shaddaa," Malo added before he could ask. To distract herself from how awkward she felt, she turned to the wall that she was leaning against and fiddled with the closest fixture. "Maybe there's someone or someplace there that I can drop you if you have any ideas...?"

en route to Nar Shaddaa

Kennero shifted in his seat, either uncomfortable or restless. "It hasn't come to me yet," He admitted, though by his attempt at a grin he didn't appear to be concerned.

"Whitesun is difficult to please, fickle and upredictable, and, to make things even more interesting, she despises Jedi... but she's not entirely blind to opportunity. If there's something she wants from us in return for some information then she'll know without us selling it to her."

He ran a hand through his hair, trying to distract himself from the uneasiness in the air. "The real question is what she'll ask from us." Part of him was working on convincing itself that he'd be willing to walk away if the gangster gave them the opportunity, but it was a futile gesture. Whitesun could give him something on Isani, he knew it, and he wouldn't walk away from that any more than he would recede the kill order if it was within his power to do so.

Tython,

As Sam followed the Mandolorian to the doors she fely a brief stir of expectation standing at the threshold. It was such a small feeling, but also so sharp and unexpected that she was carried away by it and her imagination. She was back on Ossus and waiting for her through those doors would be Kai'le or Ilusha, waiting to speak with her, but they were both gone, taken by the brood. She was on Coruscant and Ronyo woul be there, excitement and eagerness for his lessons and construction of his first lightsaber, but he was gone too. Dead in one memory and replaced by a man named Grand Master in another. Both were as real as the other emotionally, though only one was real phsyically. The doors could open to anything; to Irella who fought so hard for herself, or Isani, or Oran, or Covenant... but they were all gone.

When the doors did open she felt nothing but a strange desire to laugh - the room was entirely appropriate in its emptiness.

"Thank you, Seron. I don't believe I will need a guide past this point." She said, stepping into the room without another look at the man. She wondered only idly if he would return later afer she'd rested, but she doubted he would. He deserved better than her if the secrets of the forcer were what he desired.

Naboo.

Orion followed along, led by the hand, and felt a sudden spinning in his head. "I haven't drunk enough wine for this..." He started, then frowned. When he stopped he pulled Liesa with him, facing her with a hand on her shoulder, and dropped all merriment from his person to speak with her seriously.

"Liesa, consider this for a moment. Your life is here - your mother, your father, even your sister... you could be an aunt this time next year. Are you truly willing to fly away from all of that for the sake of an adventure?"

He wanted her to say yes, needed her to say yes, but he'd never accept it unless he heard her say it.

Tython/ Ronyo's old campsite

Time was no longer a concern as Ronyo and his holocron masters put Anya through trials that would help shape her and expand her knowledge in the force. The tree still stood but a few pieces of bark had been shaved off but replaced with blood. The day was growing less and night was fast approaching which was a god thing for both Ronyo and Anya. This would give the girl time for her hands to heal and if she followed Ronyo's next lesson would be able to use them tomorrow.

"Alright it's time to give your body time to heal and recover so we will begin the reverie training to help you regain energy without the need for sleep. It is a great skill to learn should you find yourself in the need of replenishing your energy after a fight for another you know will come soon. Sleep closes off to many of the minds functions and you become more susceptible to surprise attacks. The Master and I shall demonstrate and you are to follow, then we will begin the meditation process which will bring us into the state of energy renewal."

Ronyo sat with his legs crossed upon the rock he had been leaning on during the day. The small green alien hologram mimicked the move but appeared to be floating over the rock rather than on it, which was just due to the holocrons placement. Ronyo waited for Anya to copy the position and then he began his flow of force energy as he explained.

"The force is always flowing through us, it can give us great burst of energy or sustain us for days. It can also reenergize your body like sleep but with a much more invigorating effect and less time needed to accomplish the task. You will have to let your mind go and allow the force to carry you away and just ride the current to wherever it takes you. While you set your mind free your body will constantly absorb the force energy that surrounds you allowing you to feel stronger and sharper than any deep sleep. The extra benefit is that your mind stays alert and ever watching as it allows the force to do all the work so should your time become needed else where your mind can be aware and bring you back as you will it to.

However I must stress an important warning about this form of rest as it comes whenever you draw into the force so greatly. You can become lost in the force and its constant and ever moving tides and gusts. For this is also the same path a Jedi walks to learn how to see into the future or delve deeply into a person's mind through their emotions. These as well as my own ability to see through the force are incredibly difficult and challenging undertakings and must only be attempted by trained masters or with the presence of several masters watching. The basic reverie trance does not allow for the dramatic jump into the deep end of the force but a slow pull that can easily avoided. Now begin with me, and should you fall asleep Omega will be around to wake you up."

Ronyo stopped talking and brought himself within the folds of the force and let out a surge of energy to help push away basic outside distractions. The energy also produced several apparitions all looking like Omega but standing at different heights and completely surrounding Ronyo, Anya, Omega, and the alien hologram. These where the force ghosts of the pack Ronyo meet on Tython those years ago, they had all become one with the force during the attack of the mechanized monsters known as technobeasts and now helped Ronyo when he called on them.

There aura and energy was of the purist form of the light side bathing everyone within their protective ring in the calming and joyous light. Those of the light side said they felt stronger and pains they had lessened, while those of the dark side found the energy unbearable and almost like trying to stare into a sun with your naked eye. The force wolves would help Anya's connection to the force and also help keep anything away that might be curious about them. The light was dazzling and beautiful to behold and as if on cue with Omega they all let out a lovely howl that seemed to shoot straight through the trees and into the sky.

Tython/ Jedi Temple - Hanger

Jynx looked at the soldier and gave him a once over from head to...antenna. He seemed like a sensible man by the way he carried himself and how he spoke. Straight to the point, however he also failed to answer her question, an interesting move but one she found less admirable for the time being. Perhaps once they were on better terms they could better understand the trooper.

"Why you are here is clear enough for now, although you gamble greatly on hopes and wishes," Jynx shifted her eyes more towards the others than Cole, "The Jedi felt the act as they have done with all things, but what if the Jedi choose to not fight this time? What if the Jedi feel that every time they have gone to meet the Sith in combat more and more deaths come about? The Republic did pull attachments with the Jedi some time ago showing them a great amount of disloyalty and disrespect. One can only forgive someone so often if they continue to repeat the same problem over and over," Jynx stood for a time to gauge the reactions from those that followed behind the commander, her words had been largely hypothetical but not entirely unvoiced by members of the council, "At any rate the Grand Master is not within the Temple grounds. He has gone off into the forest with his new Padawan to train. You will have to show patients I'm afraid, as Master Storm is known for losing track of time."

Naboo

She spun around when Orion stopped behind her, giggling. She was drunk on excitement and that rush that came at the promise of adventure... and champagne. Still, her friend's seriousness managed to sober her up somewhat.

"Can I let you in on a secret, Orion?" Liesa asked solemnly after a moment of consideration.

Leaning in conspiratorially, both her hands on his shoulders, she whispered in his ear - "Drunk actions are sober thoughts. Let's get the frell out of here."

Tython ~ Training Ground

Anya's hands were raw and numb, feeling have fled from her hands long ago. Her rage had built through the course of her exercise, an anger at so-called Master Tey for making her do this. That rage, however, had helped her to not feel the pain from her ragged hands. At long last, Master Storm called to her and told her to stop. The sun was beginning to set, which Anya noted dimly. She glanced at the tree and noted the amount of her own blood that now decorated the bark. With a heavy sigh, she dragged herself over to where her Master now sat. He spoke about a technique he called reverie, then demonstrated how she should sit. She pulled herself weakly up onto the rock and crossed her legs as he did, then she felt a powerful emanation of Force. At first, she shirked from the sudden presence, but slowly reopened her connection to the Force. She listened as intently as her weakened mind could as he spoke, nodding occasionally. She was caught off guard by the sudden surge of pure light energy. The darkness and anger which had settled suddenly seemed agitated and she visibly shifted uncomfortably. The uncomfortable feeling persisted as the apparitions of the wolves appeared and encircled the camp. Anya glanced warily at them, unsure of how to feel. Finally, she forced her mind to calm itself and focus on the task at hand. She inhaled slowly and opened her mind to the living Force around them, much like she had done on the run. She delved in the Force, letting the flow carry her mind. The power of the living Force around them carried her mind far from their campsite, through the trees and life across the planet. She could feel the Jedi at the Temple. She could feel the breath of the forest around her.

Red Birth

"You've been asleep awhile," Malo said.

Sephis couldn't remember her name. Had she told him his name?

"You're lucky it wasn't the permanent kind of sleep, though," Malo added.

Sephis was about to ask what she meant when a memory flashed into his brain. He remembered the descent to... Harrin, a planet of little significance to either the Empire, or the Republic, Sephis imagined, for that matter. A lone descent ahead of the regular ground forces, he was meant to stir up trouble on the planet itself. Sephis was snapped back to reality when he realized Malo was bringing over some water. He needed some very much.

"I'm Malo, but I already said that, didn't I?" Malo asked idly, leaning against the wall.

Sephis tilted his head back and down the water in two gulps.

"This is my ship, Red Birth. Don't ask about the name, she came with it, and I never got around to re-naming her. I found you on that rock that used to be a planet. You were in bad shape, but you were lucky that I just happened to have a fair supply of medicines... Maybe unlucky for you, I have no idea how to use any of them. You seem to have recovered miraculously, though."

Harrin used to be a planet? What happened--?

Massive red cannon fire slammed into Harrin's capital building, above and behind him. The sound of rolling thunder, the feeling of the rumbling ground, and the deafening impacts of cannon fire onto solid ground and buildings threw Sephis into a panic. Abandoning the rest of his clothing, he grabbed his lightsaber with a Force Pull and took off running at full sprint. Then, augmented his speed with the Force, traveling faster than he'd ever felt himself travel before.

The ground erupted around, in front of, and behind him. He wasn't going to make it. His TIE fighter was too far away. This was his end. He'd turned his back on one of his targets, Morbella, Grand Admiral Rice's lapdog, and been stabbed in the back for it. Nothing would repay this treachery, although Sephis wouldn't have the chance to try.

"I'm heading to Nar Shadaa," Malo said, distracting him from his returning memory.

Sephis looked down into his cup, wishing he'd had more water. Idly, Malo stepped back from the wall she had been leaning against and began to inspect a console on the wall.

Morbella... Rule number one of assassinations: Always make sure you finish the job.

"Maybe there's someone or someplace there that I can drop you if you have an ideas...?"

Sephis flicked his eyes up from his cup and Force Pushed Malo out of Red Birth's medical bay.

Red Birth -- hyperspace

Even on edge the way she was, the push came at a surprise for her. Maybe she'd been distracted at her own nervousness or been so focused on waiting for the moment of attack that she'd missed the build up of force... or he was strong enough to call it that quickly. Either way, she tried to resist it but only succeeded in stumbling backwards, arms crossed in front of her, and then falling to sprawl ungracefully in the hall outside the bay.

"Ungrateful little..." She spat, anger at herself and the man in the med-bay rising, and she reached for the door, slamming it closed. The force came to her quickly in her anger, something that came as both a relief and a concern, but she dismissed both to struggle to her feet. The console was under her fingertips in a heartbeat, flying over the controls to disable the opening mechanism. If she hadn't been so familiar with the ship it might have been difficult, but she'd written the programming of nearly everything on board or re-written it in her spare time.

Malo stepped away from the door and drew her lightsaber then, preparing for another surprise, while calling to mind the inside of the med-bay. Most of it was filled with half-old bacta materials and spare parts for the droids, but nothing that could be a weapon. Unless he could pull a lightsaber out from his a**, or thin air like the last one, she wanted to be satisfied with his confinement... but it still left her in the middle of contested space with a violent sithling.

Biting back any angry words, she wrapped herself in her anger and watched the door suspiciously.

Red Birth

Sephis got up from his bunk, dressed only in some underwear that Malo must have fitted him with, and stepped tensely over to the door as it slammed shut. Sephis summoned the Force to him and thumbed the door control. The control chirped angrily, and flashed red. So, she'd locked him in. That was no problem, though, for a Sith. There were more ways than one for a door to open.

Sephis stood back from the door frame, giving him room enough to work without affecting himself. He focused on the center of the door, aiming at it, and pushed. The door budged, just a little. He could hear it groan along its tracks. He charged up another Push and hit it again.

The door gave way with a loud screech, but only partially. Sephis would have to hit it once more, maybe work it with some Force Pulls, before it came free. He wanted to make sure Malo wasn't set to counterattack him, though. There was no sense rushing out the door if the little freighter pilot was ready to subdue him the moment he stepped out.

[ Space en route to Nar Shaddaa ]
That doesn't reassure Mina at all; if Whitesun hates Jedi, what's to keep her from refusing to even meet with them in the first place? No, Mina tells herself -- Whitesun is possibly their only chance at getting information on Isani. The Nautolan is going to at least hear whatever offer they manage to come up with. Mina is determined in that respect.

As for what Kennero said about Whitesun's price -- the knight sighs; she knew from the beginning that this wasn't going to be easy, but the thought now of what Whitesun might ask of them coupled with the knowledge that the chances of Kennero turning her down were very, very slim...

Mina reaches out to find Kennero's hand and threads her fingers through his wordlessly. She may have been angry at him before, but now she just wants the comfort of him.

Tython, Jedi Temple

As Grand Master Joelk dismissed Seron, she didn't even spare him a parting glance. Why was it that Jedi alienated themselves from everyone else? Was it because their talents ranged from slowing molecules to tearing starships out of the sky? Was their galactic potential the reason why they only dared communicate through holocom's these past few years? The raw power that they feared, Seron thought, was exactly what he thought the Jedi should embrace.

"As you wish, ma'am," Seron said, stepping back out of the doorway.

The door slid shut as Seron began to walk down the hallway away from the living quarters. Couldn't the Jedi imagine their potential for good?
