Icarus smiled some and enjoyed the kiss before the vampire broke it. She frowned a little when he said he was leaving, but the nightingale nodded some, understanding. She watched him go before nestling down into her bed to wait for him. With Jethrow gone, Icarus suddenly felt something she hadn't felt in a long time. Vulnerable.

Jethrow left as fast as possible, and tried to hurry his shower, but the water was warm and he needed some time to think. After all, he'd been thinking negatively lately. As though Icarus would be better off without him. He was pretty sure it was heat of the moment stuff, with her being in so much danger and all. But maybe... Maybe it was true?

Icarus laid in her bed, cuddling up with the dragons when they got in as well. The girl sighed some and curled up in her covers, waiting for Jethrow to return. It felt odd without him at her side. The nightingale knew her thoughts were selfish, but she hoped he'd never leave.

Jethrow had to force himself out of his own mind, knowing that he would only worry about Icarus and panic. So he got dressed, and walked to Icarus' room slowly, hands in pockets and head down. When he reached her room, he didn't knock, instead opening the door slowly and heading inside with a half smile.

Icarus had fallen asleep while Jethrow was gone. Though she was only sleeping lightly. The white dragon looked to the door as he entered and mewed softly before snuggling back up to Icarus who mumbled a little. The girl stirred a little before getting comfortable again and sighing slightly.

Jethrow sat down on the bed, stroking Icarus' hair and picking up a random book from her night table. He flipped through it, noting where it was most worn down and other details such as that.

Icarus smiled some as Jethrow stroked her hair, nestling up to him. Soon she woke up from her light sleep and flopped onto Jethrow, wrapping her arms around his neck and nuzzling him sleepily. "Welcome back." she mumbled, still very sleepy, but smiling as she kissed his cheek.

Jethrow smiled softly down at Icarus, as she kissed him on the cheek. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to his chest affectionately. "You are just exhausted, aren't you?"

Icarus laughed softly and nestled into Jethrow's arms and gave a cat-like purr. "Very. But my pillow's back and I'm happy." she mumbled, snuggling up to the vampire before going right back to sleep.

It wasn't all that surprising to the vampire that Icarus had fallen right to sleep. It seemed that half o what she did these days was sleep. That's probably my fault, too. I drink too much of her blood too often and she gets lethargic because of that."

Icarus slept in his arms for a while, content where she was. But she soon woke up and yawned deeply, hugging Jethrow. "Hi there. I didn't keep you waiting too long did I?" she asked, cuddling up to the vampire and smiling some.

Jethrow smiled slightly and shook his head. "Of course not." But the truth was, she had. He'd spent the whole time looking at her, thinking of all the ways he'd ruined her life in the short time they'd known each other, looking away from her, planning his escape, looking back, and realizing he couldn't leave her. It was a very long couple hours.

Icarus sat up and stretched some before sighing slightly. She got out of bed and looked out her window. Something was wrong. She could just sense it. What concerned her was it was centered around Jethrow. Just something in her head told him he was bothered by something. Was it her? She hoped he wouldn't lie... "Jethrow..." she asked, glancing to him a little. "Do I make you uncomfortable?"

Jethrow's brow furrowed and he sat up straighter, looking intently at Icarus. "No way! And if you want, I can prove it to you..." he said, smiling wickedly. After a few moments of silence, his smirk fell and he got off the bed, going to Icarus and tucking some hair behind her ear. "What's wrong?"

Icarus watched Jethrow as he came closer, She sighed a little before looking out the window. "I... I don't know... It's just... There's something in my head telling me something's upsetting you." she said, looking back to Jethrow. She then hugged the vampire, holding him close. "I was worried it was me."
