She grinned, "Alright then. I'm left to my own studying then." She contented herself for a long time it seemed to her anyway, tracing different runes into the circle. None of them really did anything and she started trying to make the runes from memory. A few she got perfectly on the first time, others had a small smudge and some others she missed pieces of the rune itself. Halfway through she felt a strange urge to glance up at SEvilin and noted how masculine and firm his profile was...and how his hands carefully drew out the runes and wondered briefly what else those hands were capable of... Now where had that thought come from? She shook her head and returned to beign studious. Scanning the page she found an interesting looking rune with three little squares and then wavy lines coming off of them. She scribed it carefully and watched in amazement as her book lifted and floated down to Sev's end of the table. "Umm..can I have that back please?"

Sevilin had looked up as he had lightly been bonked in teh head with the corner of a floating book. Well well she was getting his all really well wasn't she? A quick rune made on the book and it dropped like a rock to the table in front of him. Then he shoved it so that it slid back down the table to Zahara.
"Having fun I take it?" A shake of his head, perhaps in annoyance, perhaps in amusement. Who knew except for him and Lloth. She was at least doing things right. "Careful you don't use all that stuff up in one setting either. You'll have to get more yourself."

The dragon slept peacefully around the base of the new castle. If the danger was over, then why was he still not allowed to see his mistress? Perhaps the reasons was that the danger was not yet over. Or amybe, the Captain was planning something. Either way, besides an odd smell on the wind earlier, Tanudnra had noticed nothing out of the norm. In fact, he had not one shred of unease in his body. He heaved a sigh. Should he be worried? The Oracle was human after all, and blind to boot, in a place where only Drow can reach her. Maybe...maybe Tarathiel had constructed this place so that he would have easy access to her....either way, he couldn't relaly worry about it right now.
Things were quiet, but not too quiet. The day was calm, but not too calm. It was the perfect kind of day. the day that you half expected to have a battle. Making their rounds, the drow on the walls and inside the castle changed gaurd and duty, going aobut the rest of their soldier lives. At first, watching over this Oracle woman had been a hassle, she was always strainign their patience by insisting to bring foreign objects inside the castle for her silly predictions. She didn't do that so much of late, as she seemed to have what she needed.
After careful inspection, a bag of bones was brought in for scrying. The drow left the small prison room, and the Oracle began scrying.
It would be some time before anybody found out that the Oracle was missing.

She winced at the slapping sound the book made when it hit the table and smiled sheepishly. She caught the book as it was passed back to her and began flipping through the pages looking for more runes. Though at his warning she only nodded. There was still plenty of that solution left because she'd learned that most runes could easily be turned into another without erasing the entire thing. And if you swiped rather quickly you could take out whole pieces and use that same solution again and again. It worked out rather nicely in her opinion. But soon she got bored with doing the same old thing and she accidentally flipped to a page or two past where he'd told her to stop. There was a rather intriguing rune on the page with a slash through it. Curiosity overwhelmed her and she scribed it carefully onto the table. A loud CRACK was heard and she watched in horror as the table split right down the middle. "Uh-oh..."

"It was an accident. The page flipped nad I didn't realize it until it was too late..." Oh boy, she'd done it now hadn't she? Why had she let curiosity get the better of her? Why? Why couldn't she just leave well enough alone? There were enough interesting runes in those pages he'd shown her and she could have probably scribed every single one of them and run out of time before she finished them all. But anytime you gave Zahara Val'Ril limits she had to push them, had to see if she could just tweak the rules, bend them a little bit and get away with it. Well, this time it didn't look like she was going to. Her hand went to her collar as she almost expected it to tighten on her by Malik knowing somehow. Of course it didn't and then she watched as Sevilin 'glued' the table back together. When he'd finished she traced her fingers along it and there was no seam anywhere to be seen. "I certainly won't be telling him so you won't have to worry about that."

He patted the table as the runic circle disappeared again, easily gone as it had come. Then he turned to the book and flipped it back in it's pages. "Be careful...I can't be around to save you from every little thing now can I?" Sevilin was indeed aware that she would probably play around when he was gone.
A raised eyebrow as she had grabbed at her collar though. Apparently she was really all too aware of it now wasn't she? That was interesting now wasn't it. "Are we done for the day then? I must be driving you crazy by this point."

"No, not that I need you to save me there's just some things that I'm not quite...expecting and that was one of htem. I'm sure I would have figured it out sooner or later." No a simple thanks wasn't possible from her. Why? Well, this was Sevilin. She watched him for a moment kind of shocked he hadn't yelled at her and released her collar a moment later when she realized she'd grabbed at it. That was bad. She was not accepting MAlik's control at all and she needed to stop his punishing or warnings. "You're not driving me crazy, it's not like you've been hovering over my shoulder all morning or making me read borint things. But if our time is up I won't ask you to stay. I know how much you like your solitude."

"By Lloth, no dancing with joy over my mentioning of my leaving? No jeerings? No random ego brusing or defiant comment? I think I'm going to go into shock." One of those smirks from him. See it was a much better mood when she just damned listened to him and made things go smoothly.
"I think I'll get while the getting is good. Give you a break from me." A point to the table as he gathered up his own things. "You're going to have to chisel that off by the way." Yes his parting gift...the messy table that had dried on goo on it. Stuff was hell to get up without damaging the surface it was stuck to.
"Remember, get your reverie early, dark and early comes all to soon." And he left her company, heading out...though having to pass Malik and Piper as well as thier little herd of horses. Malik was given a nod, and Piper somewhat of a dirty look though veiled. Surface elves.
She barely gave a look to Sevilin, her question to Malik forgotten for a moment as she silently seethed in his passing. Just like that, his mere prescense was enough to get her angry. And to think...she had the possibility of running into him everyday. Innoruuk take her now...

"Everything will be fine, Chev'. don't worry about it. everything will be just fine."
A slightly evil grin at the departing Sevilin. lets see if this works. try an plant a little subliminal pin p***k of a message. one that can bloom during reverie. about gettign to bed Zahara in an enjoyable manner. sometimes psionics were just too fun not to use. and another little p***k in Zahara's mind for the same purpose.
"We'll get the last laugh, I'm sure. and you had your own deviltry in mind, didn't you? so don't get so worked up. you don't want to provoke him, catching him off guard is more fun."

She merely crossed her arms and frowned, watching Sevilin a moment until he slipped what she deemed far enough away. b*****d had ruined her mood. Piper sighed lightly, turning her attention back to Malik and letting her arms drop to her sides. She hated that drow so very very much it was almost unbelieveable. "Yeah but still...he just things he's so much high and mightly because his skin is darker. Are you sure I can't hit him out of simple spite for him?" A shake of her head. "But like I was saying, you taking a break? Last I knew we didn't mix business and pleasure. You're not just trying to get in on my action are you?" Said in that slightly teasing tone, attempting to correct her mood.

Zahara played a little bit longer trying out different runes that she was actually allowed ot and using that stuff to practice her runing abilities. She also spent a lot more time studying the fine print down beneath the runes, committing thigns to memory and actually understanding the different variations. It wasn't so hard once you thought about it practically. An ice rune could be used on a mage staff to increase the power of ice attacks as well as put on armor to guard against ice attacks. Just a bit of a variation and depending on what the rune itself was put on. It really did all make sense. But eventually even she got tired of studying though it was a long time before that actually happened and she wiped away that last rune and then poked the circle. Yeah Sevilin was right, that wasn't budging. Unless...heat hardened it...so there had to be something that would soften it...water maybe? Break up the consistency of it...nah it wasn't worth a try. So she grabbed her dagger and began to chisel away at the circle on the table. Thank Lloth she hadn't made it bigger, she might be there a while.

A small snicker.
"Lets just say, that Sevilin should be having a rather....entertaining reverie tonight. As for work, I'm done..it wasn't much, and Jiscal hasn't responded yet to my offer. and I wouldn't dream of butting in on your territory...next thing I'd know I'd lose the rest of my slave's collars. I know how broog does anything you tell him. he likes you."
Yes he could tease back.

A raised eyebrow at that? How could he possibly influence Sevilin's reveries...who would want to becaue Gods only knew what memories flashed through that elf's head. Unless Malik was planning to superimpose over a reverie...or force Sevilin to dream...since dreams didn't come naturally to elves since they technically didn't sleep. Just filtered thier minds. "Really now, I can't even blink without you causing trouble can I?" Though she shook her head, and gave a laugh. "Yes yes he does very much. You could wake up one day and not a collar in the place. But finished already, must not been a lot at all." She spoke with a certain coldness to it all, after all she had always hated his slaving ways nad didn't really like the thought of it beign the 'family business'. But that was just the way she was. "Have to sent word to Meilikki yet on our little excursion?"
