He laughed and jumped off of the rafters, then walked to the bar to get himself some Vodka. "I beat you Red..." He laughed and sat on the couch.

He awoke on the couch and looked around with a yawn.

Mercina walked in and went to the bar to get a drink. She decided to have some of the Venus wine she brought in the other day. After getting a glass, she took a seat on a stool and crossed her legs in a refined manner.

Ly walked in, cowl up, clutching Mercina's book protectively. He sat down in a table in the corner, which he usually did, and pulled out his glass. He waved his hand over it and it filled full with a deep red liquid. Ly sighed as he drank, the drink warming him up, and he opened the book, beginning to read.

"Hello, Sir Dark..." She answered him a bit coldly because of how he was acting the last time she see him. She did not know there was another personality that took over for a bit. She just thought he decided to be rude that day and Mercina wasn't one for rudeness.

He laughed a bit and stood up. "Well I can see that I may not be wanted here." He smiled and bowed a bit. "Goodnight Miss Mercina, Alex" He turned and walked outside.

Ly looked up when Dark said his human name. "Good night, Dark," he said, waving before returning to the book. He decided to try a little bit of it, taking his drink and bringing up a slight stream. "Oookay, this is coming too naturally to me," he muttered, maniplating the stream into twists, spins, and eventually down his throat.

Mercina just heard the boy practicing the magic from the book he was borrowing. She wasn't about to disturb him and took a sip of her wine.

Ly picked up his glass and drained it. Then he saw that Mercina was paying attention... somewhat, if not entirely. He got a mischeivous look on his face, which fanished quickly. He filled the glass with water, and made like it was toying around with it... then he flicked his wrists toward her, sending it flying towards the witch, the smile back on his face.

Mercina rest the glass on the table and held up her right hand. A wand of fire appeared and she spun it like a baton. The flames got larger as the wand spun and made a sort of shield of fire. The water evaporated as it came close to the flames. She stopped spinning the wand and it disappeared to reveal she had a grin on her face. "Nice try, Alex." She still sat on the stool and had her back leaning against the bar.

Ly's tail twitched as he leaned back in his chair. "So you WERE paying attention to what I was doing..." He smiled, then looked back at the book, paging ahead. "There's a healing spell here that I'd like to try... but there isn't an injury to be found." He gave a dissapointed sigh (or what sounded like one), then returned to water manipulatin, gradually getting better as he went along.

Mercina grinned and decided to show him something that he wasn't going to find in that book. A chalice of ice appeared in her left hand and she held onto it. She started mumbling something to herself.
"Manipulation of water can be fun,
Unless it's used to harm someone.
Let me have a bit of fun,
Only innocent mischief shall be done."
She lifted her right hand and concentrated on the hand that he was using to manipulate the water. Flicking her hand slightly, her intention was to control the water in his body to make his hand flick the water he was manipulating into his own face.

Ly felt an imposing force in his body, trying to force him to fling the water in his own face. Oh, no you don't! he roared mentally, not directing it at anyone. His draconic resitances helped against magic... somewhat. So he did the only other option... he couldn't keep manipulating it... so he let it go. It fell to the floor with a splash, hitting the hybrids feet. He looked up and stared at Mercina. "Okay, so it didn't do what you wanted, did it? Still got me, though." He whistled. "That was neat, how did you do that?"

The chalice disappeared from her hand. "Studying elemental magic for as long as I have. Advanced teachings. Things like that. You're only what... Seventeen?" Mercina didn't know the boy's exact age so she took a rough guess.
