I have to work today, and I have a check that I can't cash until tomorrow.
Y'know, I've figured out that work isn't actually all that bad. It is the waiting for it to begin, the dread and suspense, that sucks.

I have been out of a job for 3 months now... can't land a new one with the s**t bowl that the economy fell in to!
all the elderly are getting the jobs which sucks for a lot of reasons!

The shifts couldn't coincide, so I stepped down from the part-time job in favor of the higher-paying full-time. Luckily they told me they'd let me know if any other positions opened.

that's great that you got everything lined up nicely.
I haven't gotten ANY call-backs from the people I've been applying for, and I've called each of them at least once about week after handing in my application.
