I'm a bit annoyed with having to start a new Shepard all over just to get the Electronics bonus talent, but at least I'll hit levels slightly quicker since I unlocked a few experience bonuses. I think they total to 15% more now, and IIRC, level 60 grants another 5%, making it a total of 20%.
Since I got Krogan Ally last time, I can have Garrus along to provide some Decryption so I can unlock all those containers I missed last time. I'm not taking Kaiden because I plan on rescuing Ashley instead, and since I'm romancing Liara again, Kaiden's useless to me after I recruit Garrus.
Originally, I planned for 3 playthroughs for the ally achievements. 1st was Wrex and Liara. ( Backfired since I completed too many assignments before even going to Therum. ) 2nd would be Kaiden and Garrus. 3rd would be Ashley and Tali.
Right now, I've saved the game just before talking to the Council. I'll start all the assignments I can before hitting Therum, but this time I won't complete anything but the bare essential missions before then to ensure I get the achievement this time.

Strange thing was, I used Only Kaidan and Ashley, until I had to save one of them, but I didn't get any of the ally achievements at the end of the game...

Did you do as many of the assignments as you can?
When they say, " Complete most of the game. " it seems more like they mean, " Do all but maybe 2 missions and 5 assignments with this character with you. "

Nah, I thought it just meant the main quest, so I just powered through, hoping to just finish the assignments the second time. Unfortunately, I'm 360less right now, so I gotta wait tto even think about starting again.

At least virtually all of the assignments can be put on hold up until the Lockdown and Ilos parts, since those are " point of no return " events.
When I made my Engineer so I could spam Overload, I was surprised how insanely fast I was compared to my other playthrough with getting through the missions.

I was a vanguard, so I got the achievements for shotguns, pistols, and a couple of biotic abilities. Next playthrough, I'll probably be an engineer, then a soldier.

Yeah, they kick a**, and pistols are pretty awesome too. Shotguns are alright, and snipers suck, imo.

exactly it's like how can you shoot something when it looks like Shepard needs a nicotine fix. I put a kinetic stabilizer on it and it still didn't help

Me neither. I'm a bit of a Browncoat, and a huge Dr. Horrible fan, but I've never seen Buffy, and I just don't like Dollhouse.
