Victoria held her breath when he took her chin in his hand, forcing her to look up at him. She smiled at him, her eyes sparkling slightly with tears, due to a mixture of emotions. She shook her head and squeezed his hand. "Nothing. I just wish we weren't here." She said it quietly, turning her head back to stare out the window, a tear falling down her cheek to rest on her faded jeans.
Daren laughed when she commented that he sounded like here. "I feel...better," He replied to her question truthfully, shrugging weakly. He smiled at her, and squeezed her hand, trying to let her know he would be okay.

Dante laughed a little. "So do I Vicy." he thought for a moment. A wild, crazy, and stupid idea crossed his mind. "I could sign myself out." he told her with a smirk on his face. Classic Dante. Offered help and plenty of it, but wants to turn it down. But something overcame him. Something changed his sudden thought process. "I'm just kidding." He didn't know what else to say. He didn't know what else to do. He scooted his chair over so that he could look at her face once again. He felt like showing how he felt. Telling her how he felt towards her, but nothing came to him. He leaned in slightly, but quickly went back to the way he was sitting.

Aria smiled in response to Daren and then closed her eyes. All the events of the day had tired her out.
"I'm happy you're feeling better." she replied drowsily.

Victoria laughed at the crazy idea, and glanced back over at him. She noticed him lean in, a confused and somewhat embarrassed look crossing his face, but then he leaned back again. Confused herself by his hesitation on something, she tilted her head and asked him what was wrong. Maybe he did need to get out of the hospital for a while, and get some fresh air...
Daren smiled at her, noticing that she was sleepy. He squeezed her hand after taking it in his own, and bring it to his lips to kiss them gently. "Get some sleep, love." He whispered, tilting his head a bit as he watched her. "You need it."

Aria opened her eyes and looked at Daren. She covered her mouth and yawned and then smiled.
"I'm stubborn remember? Because you told me to sleep, I'm not going to."
Even as she said this, Aria had colsed her eyes again and was beginning to drift off.

Daren rolled his eyes as he saw her close her eyes and start to go to sleep again, not saying anything this time. He patted her hand and let it go, a peaceful smile on his face as he watched her beautiful face get rid of her frown lines, and sleep take over her, causing her face to fall into peace.

"N-nothing." Dante said nervously and in an almost awkward kind of way. He looked up at the clock and it was pretty late...10:00 pm to be exact. Dante looked back at Victoria. "Hey. It's kind of late..maybe you should go home and get some rest." he said as he continued to hold her hand.

Victoria was still puzzled by the way he was speaking about it, but she decided not to pressure him. He seemed to look awkward and uncomfortable enough, she didn't want to make it worse. She sighed, glancing at the clock as well once he spoke. "I can't," She said lightly, shaking her head. She stared at him before continuing quietly, "I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway, knowing you were here like this."

Dante smiled. "You're so sweet." he gently said to her. He rubbed her hand. It was soft and gentle, compared to his coarse and rough hands. He gave Victoria a hug and said in her ear, "You're truly an amazing person." He didn't know what else to do or say, so he continued to hug her and waited to see if she backed out of it.

Victoria smiled shyly at his comment, but was surprised when he rubbed her hand and pulled her in for a hug. She started to pull back, uncomfortable, but didn't want to hurt him, and besides, it didn't feel bad. She leaned in closer to him, and gently hugged him back, blushing slightly when he whispered in her ear. She pulled back afterwards, still blushing, and murmured a thank you, her eyes meeting his briefly.

Dante smiled at her when their eyes met. He sat in the chair in silence for a while thinking about what would happen in the next couple of days. He thought about how his body would soon go through withdrawal from alcohol, and this scared him. He had seen plenty of people go through withdrawal from more than one thing. From everything that he has seen from it, he could tell that he was in a for a real treat, but he tried to keep his mind off of it. After sitting in silence for good amount of time Dante opened his mouth, and words began to flow out. "So how do you like living in your neighborhood?" Dante said. He tried to make small talk so that things wouldn't be as awkward as they were.

Victoria grinned back at him, but fell silent immediately, not knowing what to say after that. The awkward silence followed, and she sighed a few times, opening her mouth but then closing it again. She wasn't surprised when Dante was the one to start up a conversation again. She was surprised by his question also, but replied nevertheless. She frowned as she thought for a moment before saying, "It's alright. Sometimes they're is crime and things that go on, so most of the time I stay in my apartment." She muttered the last part, ashamed at being a loner.

Aria wallked around; her hand in Daren's. They wer about to walk into an Ice Cream Shoppe when they heard someone shout 'GO!'. At that moment, shots were fired and then they heard the sound of footsteps fading. Aria looked at Daren thinking he was the target. It wasn't until she felt the pain in her stomach that she knew it wasn't Daren they were after. She fell to the ground and blacked out.. "NOO!!" Aria quickly covered her mouth hoping she hadn't disturbed Daren. She checked herself for imaginary wounds and then breathed out a heavy sigh. She slouched in the chair, and promised herself not to go to sleep again.

"Have you ever thought about moving if you had the chance?" Dante asked her with curiosity. If he lived where she did he would've moved a long time ago. It wasn't the best, and it wasn't the worse, but it was one of those places. He considered a lot of things while asking this. He was wondering if what he was thinking was smart, or if he would regret it.

Daren shot up from the bed, breathing hard when he heard someone scream, Noo!', and turned to see Aria wide awake, her eyes wide. "You okay?" he asked as she looked down at herself, seeming to be checking something.
Victoria smiled sadly at his next question, shaking her head immediately. "I can't. I want to badly, but I just don't have the money. The jewelry store gives me just enough to get groceries for myself and my cat, and pay the rent."She fell silent, guessing she had to be at least a month behind on that.
