Naboo.

Orion's grin widened mischievously as Liesa called him out, but he didn't bother denying it. Anyone with an ear half open would have heard it from any one of their schoolmates.

A silly proposal of poetry was on his lips when she pulled away and he frowned slightly, looking down beneath a veil of long, dark lashes at her while she proposed to him. "Run away." He said, neither asking or agreeing. Not that he hadn't thought of it a few times himself, with the absent father and empty house that he went home to every day, but thinking it and doing it were two entirely different things.

In his thoughts he sometimes called down a Star Dragon from the skies to carry him away to some shining planet, but he was not fool. Getting real transportation would require more than daydreams. "If this happened... there would be the small matter of transportation, Liesa, dearest," He smiled again, pulling her fingers up to his lips and added playfully, "maybe your father would give us a ship as a wedding present?" He joked because he still half thought she was joking. She couldn't be serious, could she? Orion knew that she was half-bored and half-frustrated nearly all the time at home, but she was also diligent and applied herself to studies. There was a life for her here, if she wanted it. It was too much for him to hope that his best friend would willingly leave that behind to run away with him -- and even without him asking!

Watching him (yes, she now will acknowledge him as such since he stopped crying), she almost feels a twinge of sympathy as she watches him struggle to get to his feet on an otherwise useless leg. And from the way he's moving, that's not the only body part injured. Which brings up another bit of sympathy.

"Right now I wouldn't care if you were the Alexander Covenant himself. I would tell him the exact same thing I'm telling you." She stands there, gun at ready and all senses alerted for any possible danger. Including him. Experience has shown her just what a terrified and desperate person will do when they feel trapped. "What I know is that you're injured and alone. I am here with a blaster and yet I haven't used it on you yet. Think about that." They need to move, they've been there far too long.

"Now then, do you want to get out of here or not? Make your choice now or I''m leaving you for the next guy who wants to come around and kick you in the nads"

Naboo

Liesa shrugged casually, but excitement mixed with champagne made her giddy at the thought of actually, really escaping Naboo. Oh, she knew it was the thoughts of an over-privileged Nubian girl that called this an escape -- there were other more dramatic and far more important things that warranted the term escape out there -- but she was tipsy and frustrated and wanted off Naboo.

"I'm sure if I left him a letter he'd be more than willing to let us at least trade it in for something else somewhere else," she replied airily. Tugging at Orion's hand again, she headed down the hall with a skip in her step. "So how do we do this - stop by your place first for essentials, then mine for that and a ride?"

Most of her father's ships weren't kept around the house, but the datacards needed to take them out of the private hangar he and a few colleagues made use of were there.

As Kal stood up, he was able to get a decent look at the person who'd approached him. Thin and lithe, they were just a bit taller than him, and a dark head scarf concealed most of their face. Typical, Kal thought, that the only other detail he could gleam from them was that it was a woman speaking to him, judging by the hump on her chest area.

"Right now, I wouldn't care if you were the Alexander Covenant himself," the woman said, blaster at the ready. "I would tell him the exact same thing I'm telling you. What I know is that you're injured and alone. I am here with a blaster, and yet I haven't used it on you, yet. Think about that."

Kal used to Force and his arm to steady himself against the wall, while keeping his bad leg off the ground, but supported.

"Now then, do you want to get out of here, or not?" the woman asked, after a moment. "Make your choice now, or I'm leaving you for the next guy who wants to come around and kick you in the nads."

Who was this lady? Someone that wanted something out him, clearly... Kal didn't like this. Daesha was still trying to track him down. She was on the other end of his COM, able to hear all of what was going on Kal's end. Daesha hadn't exactly done a good job at backing Kal up in the first place, though.

"Daesha, I'll be in touch," Kal said before switching the COM off.

???

Sephis opened his eyes just a tiny bit at the sound of a nearby voice. For the first time in Force-only-knew how long, Sephis had a feeling that he'd caught a lucky break. Sephis blinked rapidly, adjusting his eyes to the light, and rolled his head around. He wasn't in pain, but he had a swimming sensation, as though he were beginning to lapse out of a moment of lucidity.

"Where am I?" Sephis asked.

His vocal cords felt raw and dry, as though he hadn't used them in days. Where was he? How long had he been sleeping?

Red Birth --- ???

Malo took a breath before stepping into the room and into the comfortable, if a bit forced, cavalier attitude she'd developed over the years. Far better than a blast sheild in her experience.

"You're on my ship, though that's a bit general... if you want specifics I'll have to consult the navicomputer, but I'd say we're somewhere between where you almost died and where you'll be a lot safer."

She was tempted to say more, or ask, but she still didn't know much about this man, let alone his name. Asking questions to the wrong person could get her killed, or worse, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to know the answers yet. So, grabbing a canister from a shelf she opened the lid and passed it to him, "Water? Sorry it's not anything more exciting, but I can barely afford the basics somedays. " Which was more or less the truth. "You still look like hell, but how are you feeling?"

Tython/ Jedi Temple - Hanger Bay

Five black figures strode into the Tython hanger with helmets under their arms and weapons attached to their backs. The one in the lead brushed a few extra strands of her black hair out of her eyes, which was an act in futility as her hair always seemed to fall just shy of her left eye. Stopping on a mark they had stood on countless times four came to attention while the fifth turned on her heels.

"Alright we have some unexpected guest arriving shortly. Some members of the NRIS and a Commander Barranks. It is likely they are here about the matter with the Sith and have requested an audience with the Grand Master. However as you all know Master Storm is now training his new Padawan so that means this little bundle of political meatbags are our charge until Storm retruns."

"Any idea when Storm will be coming back Ma'am?" Private Vex asked

"Knowing him he will be gone two months and come back thinking it was just a week," Lieutenant Mist answered

"He's putting that girl through that Togruta's training, if she doesn't die it could take them forever to come back." Sergeant Luna said with a wicked grin.

"We all know Master Storm is not one for moving at a fast pace..."

"Unless he's swinging one of those sabers of his." Sergeant Rahia shot in with a smile

"We will treat them as best we can, the soldier more so as from the sound of the station commander is the only one who has a spark firing in his brain. When they land give them room to blabber as much as they like and keep the chatter to a minimum ladies. I see anyone out of line and it's the gauntlet and then sparring with Master Storm."

A collected grown could be heard among the four and they stiffened up as the shuttle came into view and landed. They watched as the group disembarked as best they could after being packed so tightly into the cargo shuttle. Jynx could not help but laugh inside knowing the station commander did that on purpose instead of using one of the reserve shuttles. As they group from the Republic came into view Jynx stepped forward and saluted the Commander showing respect to the man's rank.

"Commander Barranks, I'm Captain Jynx of Diamond squad; Master Storm's personal detachment unit. Station Command called down about your arrival. Would you mind telling us why it is you decided to come all this way on the hope of meeting with the Grand Master? Do you even know if the Grand Master is on Tython?"

Jynx had a feeling all her question could really have been rhetorical but for the sake of formality and wanting to hear it herself she didn't feel sorry for asking.

Tython ~ Training Ground

Anya traveled in pace with her Master, despite the growing tiredness sprawling throughout her body. Instead of letting this pain hurt her, however, she called upon it, turning it into fuel that continued her movement. Soon enough, any new aches that cropped up turned immediately to fuel that kept her pushing forwards. They emerged to a lake with a waterfall feeding into it and small streams that carried the water onwards. The place had a certain energy to it. Anya could immediately identify that this place was strong in the Force, specifically the light side of the Force. Oddly, Anya felt... out of place. Almost as if she didn't fully belong here. She drew in the environment for a little while longer before turning her attention to her Master. Out of the corner of her eye, at the top of the waterfall, she spotted a wolf that her Master seemed to eye with compassion. However, since she sensed no malicious intentions from the animal, she did not raise up in defense. Then he removed two items from his person that Anya immediately recognized as holocrons from her lessons. She cocked an eyebrow in interest as he began to speak. He mentioned that he would not be the only one to train her and that she'd be receiving training from the holocrons as well. Inwardly, she smirked. Then he asked her to remove any excess clothing. Without a second thought, she nodded and began to dress down. She removed her boots and let her feet rest on the cool ground.

She could feel the energy of the place even stronger the minute her feet touched the soil. A chill shot up her back and she fought, for a moment, to maintain control of her emotions. Quickly, she slipped out of her robes, and discarded her utility belt. In only her breeches and under tunic, she called out to her Master who, in politeness, had turned his back. "You didn't have to turn, Master. I'm not ashamed of anything." She watched as he activated the smaller of the holocrons and the projection of a small, long eared being appeared. Her Master introduced her to the Jedi Master's lesson contained inside and listened as he evaluated her. She felt a minute twitch rise to her eye at the Master's tone when he mentioned her pride. Jedi were supposed to contain something as such but Anya always thought of herself as different, as better, because of her Force potential. Anya listened to her Master as he spoke of more mediation and felt another twitch want to surface, but contained the urge. He moved over to the second holocron and waved his hand over it. The being to emerge from this one was a Togruta with a cold stare. When the projection's eyes focused on Anya, she set her jaw and stared back at her. When the projection called her a pathetic runt, Anya greatly resisted the urge to lash out, though a color rose to her face that indicated she was not too pleased. Her Master introduced this hologram as Ranna Tey. Anya nodded when the hologram would test her physically. Anya trained for just this reason. The pesky little hologram wanted to push her physically, Anya would be ready. The hologram addressed her directly and again belittled her. The last kid that had belittled Anya had gotten her fist down his throat. The hologram challenged her to run to the mountain rising in the distance behind them. She glanced at the mountain, longingly.

She expects me to run out to that mountain after the long walk drained my stamina, Anya thought to herself, exhaling slowly. I can do it, I have to, Anya thought as she brought herself under control. Looking up at the mountain again, Anya said, "Run to that mountain and back? That's all? No problem." She closed her eyes and drew in several deep breaths, calming her body and mind. Using the Force, she slowed her heart rate, so that should could maintain a constant rate while she began to run. Then, without warning, she took off running, cutting through the forest. Her feet barely touched the ground as she ran through the trees. Any p***k of her feet, or swipe from a tree branch added to her fuel. She converted the pain into raw energy. When she felt her energy began to falter, she recalled the memories of the hologram berating her, the anger she felt as the machine taunted her, and turned that into fuel. While she ran, her mind was focused primarily on maintaining her heart rate, using the Force to keep it under control. As she ran, she began to sweat, and again, she called on the Force, this time to keep her body cool. Breaking from the tree line, she reached the base of the mountain. Her body ached and it felt as if her muscles and lungs were on fire. She drew in a pained deep breath, the fires burning her lungs. Drawing in the pain, she reached the mountain base and backflipped, arching in the air. She landed facing the way she came and without waiting to catch her breath, took off again. Tearing into the forest once again, Anya blazed along the path she had created from her last trip. The aching throughout her body became her power as she pushed her body through agony. She could sense Master Ronyo's energy drawing closer, which was a great relief to her as her body felt like it would explode. She crashed through the treeline to their campsite, and without warning, using the Force to propel herself into a jump. She crashed into the water, feeling the coolness wash over her body. Knowing she was out of view, Anya hurled under the surface before swimming to the edge and emerged. She dragged herself weakly to her Master and bowed her head. "I... I have... completed... your task."

Tython/ Ronyo's old campsite

As Ronyo watched his Padawan take off towards the mountain he looked to the small alien and Omega who had come to join them on the rock nearby. The sun had come up high enough to begin warming the rock and creating a wonderfully calm feel. Oddly enough no smile was on the Jedi's face as he spoke to the small alien.

"I sensed a great cry in the galaxy Master, something dark is coming once again."

"Felt it to I did, all that are of the force felt it. Ready for the conflict the Jedi?"

"Some yes, others I'm not sure if the magnitude is right for them, and others...others I fear may not be ready for sometime."

"Your old Master you speak of, strong in the force she is and can take care of herself."

"I know, it does not mean I let her struggle though."

"Struggle sometimes what we all need. Without conflict..."

"There is no growth...your not suppose to use my own saying on me you know."

"A rule book I will need then."

Ronyo laughed a bit as he felt his Padawan approach from her run and make a dramatic show of diving into the lake. As she turned and called that she had completed the task Ronyo knew Ranna Tey would get on to her for that but then that was her purpose as a trainer. Master Tey pushed on every nerve every strand of emotion and frustration until you had to become stronger or be run over by it. Everything Master Tey said and did was a test and Ronyo had found that out the hard way, much like Anya was likely about to do as well.

"Task? That was the warm up now we begin the workout. Sense you decided to have yourself a swim we will need to dry you off. That tree behind you is among the strongest in the forest, some call it an iron wood tree others just a son of a b***h. You will punch the tree with those petite things you call fists without using the force to help you. In fact from this point on you will not call on the force unless given specific orders. If you cannot do it yourself then I will not bother with you, and if you ask me how long you punch then the tree will feel like a soft bag compared to where I put you next."

Ronyo remembered all too well doing the same exercise years ago until his knuckles had been busted and bleeding. His hands were almost useless for the next few days which had left other training options open. Ronyo did not think Ranna would let it go that far yet as Anya was still just beginning to understand her limitations and personal strength without the force.

Tython ~ Training Ground

Anya immediately cocked her brow. "You want me to punch a tree?" She can't be serious, Anya thought to herself. However, the stern look and demeanor generated by this hologram showed that she was entirely serious. Anya rolled her eyes and moved, without further question over to the tree. No Force, huh? I can manage that, she thought to herself and reared back to punch the tree. The first time her fist struck the tree, tears sprang to her eyes, but she bit her cheek and continued. Using the pain to drive her determination, she continued to punch the tree, ignored the blood as it began to come from her hands. When she spotted her own blood on the tree, she gritted her teeth in anger and began to punch the tree harder.

Tython, Jedi Temple Hangar Bay

Cole was just wearing his custom armor, undecorated, trying to look less confrontational to a jumpy Mando. The Mandalorian that approached him, however, bore black armor with dark purple markings, and her comrades in arms sported similar armor, albeit with different shaped and colored markings. Their weapons were either shouldered or holstered, and they all had their helmets off, clearly more ready to deal with politicians than a group of soldiers. The female Mandos Cole saw behind the first one were content to let the other one approach.

"Commander Barranks, I'm Captain Jynx of Diamond squad, Master Storm's personal detachment unit," the Mando began, introducing herself. "Station Command called down about your arrival. Would you mind telling us why it is you decided to come all this way on the hope of meeting with the Grand Master? Do you even know if the Grand Master is on Tython?"

Tython, Jedi Temple

Seron nearly arched an eyebrow. Master Joelk was... Well, a master. That title, alone, denoted or suggested that she was one of the best the Jedi had to offer. And she didn't even have her own quarters here? Seron only knew where the sleeping rooms were for the Jedi because he was required to.

"You've got the room with the big window..."

Seron had no idea how big the windows were in a Jedi's sleeping quarters. He wasn't even sure that they all had windows. Nonetheless, though, he walked three doors down and opened up a room on the right. Looking inside, he could see that it was empty, void of anything short of spartan furnishings. It wasn't much, and he didn't see any windows, but it was better than no quarters, for a Jedi. He was certain that the beds here had to be more comfortable than the bunk he slept in.

She smiles as he puts his Com away. An action he cant very well see with her mask up, but it doesnt matter. All she cares about is getting out of here....since her ride already left. Not that he needs to know that.

"Good choice. I assume that you have transportation off this rock. As well as a sidekick around here somewhere." She bends down to the side he isn't supporting and gently grabs his arm to pull him up.

"If anything hurts, let me know." Sounding slightly more concerned than she did a few minutes ago. Her blaster now stored back in its holster, but within reach in case he does something stupid. Or they run into trouble, whichever comes first.

Kal's whole body was sore. Was he just supposed to tell this stranger, constantly, that he was in pain? How much juice had that human hit him with? Kal couldn't decide whether the Force was with him, today, considering the fact that he was still alive, or if the Force was completely aligned against him for leaving him in a condition to suffer like this. This was the first time since his brief encounters with a Sith lord Sehjenkai, aboard the Corruo, nearly a decade ago, that Kal could remember being electrocuted by another Force-user.

"You're a funny con," Kal remarked, his last word coming out a groan as the stranger hauled him to his feet. "You think I'm just going to give up my ship to you, at your first sign of kindness? Right, the next thing I know, I'll be sitting in the same position you found me in, watching you fly away from an empty hangar."

By the Force, someone tried to electrocute Kal! There was non-Sith/Jedi Force-user that knew how to project lightning? Where did you learn that? Kal was so mad at himself that he could scream. And now he was dependent on the kindness of strangers, something he'd learned not to do years ago.

"We make her a business offer. She won't help us out of kindness, but she won't say no to good business, either."

[ Space en route to Nar Shaddaa ]

"A business offer?" Mina echoes. A business offer. She doesn't know what Kennero has in mind, and while she normally would never doubt him she now she finds herself wondering. She shouldn't - she trusts Kennero more than anything and anyone... But a kill order? She knows the result was unintended, and even the order logical... but...

The knight sighs. "What can we possibly have to offer to Whitesun?"
