I've been lurking in chat only, more or less, so I haven't noticed any of that when it was going on -oblivious- But those are good points that you bring up, and while I may not be staff, I do think that if its as big an issue as it seems, then they should do something about it. Whoever was behind the deletion of posts should be contacted by a higher authority than them in the guild and talked to; if Cinderella didn't do anything to have the posts deleted; and she should also be given an apology, if she was the innocent party. As for the fandoms- I'm all for yaoi, but I havne't checked out the rp. If it's turning into one big orgy in there, then yes, people need to re-evaluate what they post and try to get it back on track as what the rp was meant to be. As one big guild, it's easy to forget, but there are people who don't like yaoi, and both sides need to be respectful of each other and try not to step on anyone's toes. I'd like us all to get along, if possible.

I don't know what's going on with the staff and Odd Cinderella, so I won't make any comment on it.
For the role play, I do understand that a good roleplay doesn't require too many participants (else it'll just be a bit of chaos). This role play seems to be the big event, and it seems that only a handful of people are able to participate in it. If these chosen people are only acting the "main staff" part of the role play, and the rest of the guild members are the "audience", it be nice for you to point that out. You wouldn't want too many misunderstanding.
You should also point out that there's more to the role play, such as the member awards, anon gifting, and such that is posted in the Grand opening event thread. Since it's only day 3 that I've been here, and I have no idea as to when (date) the grand opening of the guild will be, I'll quietly wait for these threads to appear.
It doesn't matter whether I can handle explicit drawings or whatever, it's more about following Gaia's rules. The last thing I want is for a potentially good guild getting the banhammer from a mod.
And that's that. ^w^

I just got bumped to crew this morning, so I've still pretty much got no power. I haven't touched a post, except to reply to it. I know Odd hadn't done anything, but again she should have contacted Conch about it, instead of blaming so quickly. Maybe there was a glitch. IT CAN HAPPEN! GAIA IS NOT PERFECT!
The rp hasn't even started yet. And most of the yaoi comments are just general humorous pokes. I don't care either way about it, but I'm thinking it's not going to turn into a 'big gay orgy'. Seeing as well, it's frowned upon by Gaia.
And yes, not everyone was invited. I, for one, joined of free will. I'd guess there's a good chunk of other people who are the same.
I will say it again, Conch is leader of this guild, things go through her. I'm not sure of my allowed duties and so on, so I'm a neutral crew member as of now. As soon as I'm told my job(s), then I will start participating as an active crew member.

Well the roleplay hasn't started, so there hasn't really been any of it...its just something that concerns me.
I also have a thing against shipping of NPC/Cannon characters. Not to mention..
uuuh....
This is a Ringmaster fanguild..
If..you know...someone goes with a certain shipping with Loyal...there are -going- to be people who are going to get irritated. I just believe Loyal should be off limits and stick to the fanart and fanfiction with that. sweatdrop

Sil, I'm thinking this isn't a romance based roleplay unless someone forces it. Which... I'm thinking Loyal would be against someone forcing themselves on him. Rest assured that this is to stay PG-13 as per Gaia rules. That rule goes for all the fanfictions as well. I would assume it's mostly just action and barely a smidgen of romance, again, unless someone forces it in.
I'm not even sure when the roleplay is starting...

I had never planned on getting into relationships with anyone is said roleplay. And If I do, that is my prerogative. And if I want a gay relationship with someone I can very well go do it. If I want a hetero relationship with someone I can very well go do it as well. Since everyone wants a relationship with Loyal, however, the likelyhood of that happening is very slim.

If it weren't for the fact that there are a lot of Loyal fans in the guild with lots of opinions, I wouldn't mind Loyal getting paired with someone...as long as the character development called for it.
But again...I'm just worried about conflict arising from it. sweatdrop

I'm pretty much against shipping certain NPC's in general. Fayren's especially. Unless the artist gives the ok or provides their own intended pairing; like the Black King and White Queen; then it's fine and dandy. But take a look at Reapersun (I think it was her?); when people started pairing her characters, Meredith and Ivan, she went ballistic, and I can understand why.

The roleplay's probably going to happen some time after the grand opening of the guild. I'm assuming that the main players of the role play is still getting chosen. While that's happening, the skeleton of the guild is also getting set up by the crew (subforums, rules, invites, banners, homepage, etc).
That's all I know right now, now that I stood back and look at what had happened in the past few days. For many others, my best bet is that they're thinking we'll be getting some sort of role play going on soon, since that's where all of the focus is on currently. There's also focus on fan arts, so I can understand why people feel as if it's actually part of the role play (though I'd like to think most people are better than that).
Maybe a thread of "wip" would be useful for a time like this? A thread telling people of what's being set up and such right now. The "almost there" part of the guild's name might have went right over most people's head. xD

Generally, I am too. I wouldn't want people shipping my characters, because I've seen a lot of people twist the personalities of said characters to fit their "OTP".
BUT...I'm not playing Loyal, so I don't get a say in that.
And Maria, that's a given, yeah...but I don't think that conflict is what the guild needs.

For example, not that I like it but I'm sure most people know it, The author of Naruto probably doesn't like that fact that people pair Sasuke and Naruto together. But people do it anyway. So I'm sure reapersun doesn't like it but its bound to happen

Loyal the Ringmaster I had never planned on getting into relationships with anyone is said roleplay. And If I do, that is my prerogative. And if I want a gay relationship with someone I can very well go do it. If I want a hetero relationship with someone I can very well go do it as well. Since everyone wants a relationship with Loyal, however, the likelyhood of that happening is very slim. I'd think that since there's some give and take to make romance based rp's move smoothly; it would be hard to come by, with literally hundreds of Loyal fans wanting to throw themselves at him and get into his pants. Bottom line, it's just a lot easier to do a romance based fanfic, if you want gay relationships, imo. But seeing that it's still Fayren's character involved in it, I'd advise against going too far with it, if you do; just out of respect. For example, you can have a character trying to get with Loyal, but his feelings aren't mutual, or vice versa.
