Mace's maneuver would save Aleron and Misha, but a couple of the things latches onto her and were burrowing tentacles and bony protrusions into her. The swarm of things left were regrouping; many had been blown away by Aleron and Misha's firing (I'd have to assume Misha would be firing at the things), but there were plenty more to be deal with. Individually, they weren't tough, but it was their numbers that made up for the individual weakness.

Sonja sighs and looks away while mulling it over. She'd only half-heard the debriefing, but she understood well enough that dying here would be a bad thing. It wasn't that she was afraid of death so much as what dying would cause her to become. "I'll rest her for another hour, two hours at tops," she says after a minute of silence, "If you haven't got a map for down below by then, then I'm going. The Genesi-stim will have done its work by then, and I know the best ways to the elevators, as well as alternative routes."

Mio was getting suited up, but the logician in him told him that by the time he got out there, either Aleron and Misha would have dealt with the problem, or they'd be dead.

"That sounds like a good plan," Miya said in response to Sonja's decision. It gave time for her to heal, but also the plan to find the parts later.

Elven ears twitched as Gin's voice was heard and the silver-haired medic turned to face her. "Everything's fine, Gin. Just go back to sleep." It might not necessarily be true, but it was close enough...and, in Miya's mind, the Cathan needed the sleep more than anyone needed her help at the moment.

Seeing the needle, Miya could guess what it was. In just a few long, graceful strides, she reached Gin and gently took the injection from her hand. "Trust me, Gin. You need sleep. Just go back to sleep," she murmured soothingly. The medic wouldn't resort to sleeping pills/injections unless the Cathan was just too stubborn to rest no matter what.

Oh no... "Gin, stay here with Sonja, okay?" she asked very quietly in case the Cathan had already fallen asleep, yet still loud enough to be heard if she was conscious. With that said, she grabbed her Med-kit and swung it onto her back as she ran to the air-lock as Aleron requested. Most other medics wouldn't take an injured animal so seriously unless they were a vet as well. But Miya...Miya had picked up on just how much Mace meant to Aleron. They seemed more like best friends or siblings than pet and master. There was no way she could let anything too serious happen to Mace... "I'm on my way to the air-lock now, Aleron! I'll do everything I can when I get there..."

Aleron watched. "Try and keep a wall of flames between us and them..! I doubt they can get through it..!!" he tried to advise calmly. He wasn't any use other-wise. His sonic shots would just put out the flames, and Misha had good fire o anything that went through or was already past.

Turning to Mace, he took out his combat knife and stabbed the s**t out of the little things, aiming to kill them and cut them away from the barbs. If he removed those, she would bleed out. "Medical report, ready spear-like shrapnel removal and lacerations, severity unknown, multiple!" he reported to Miya.

Sonja would wince and close her eyes at Aleron's frantic call to Miya. At least the medic had agreed to her compromise...

The stench of charred flesh and singed bone would waft up from the things as Aurora blasts them with the flame thrower. The few that escaped the flames would be quickly dispatched by other means, leaving the hangar deck quiet again save for the crackle of the flames.

Mio joins Miya at the airlock, suited-up and with his helmet on and sealed. He had his pistol out, but the slight quiver to his hands showed that he had been thinking far too much about what was in the station again.

Aleron looked back, making sure they were clear. "Clear!!" he yelled, scooping Macie in his arms and sprinting at the air-lock. "Mio!! Miya..!! MEDIC!!!!" he shouted, but not at the intercom. It was more like he forgot it was even there. He was yelling at them directly, running as hard as he could with Mace in his arms. "Hang on girl....you'll be ok..." he said to her.

Aurora just stands back and lets Miya work, watching their backs with the flamethrower readied.
