Hah, now I know why French Toast sounded so familiar: we have a recipe called "Poor Knight" which is basically the same, only that usually cut loafs of bread are used which should be a few days old so they won't directly get soaked with the egg milk mix.
And well, it's called like this cause such ingredients were said to make a poor knight's meal.

I was waaay turned off at first, and the tight focus on combat, especially for spellcasters, still bothers me, but overall I gotta say that the rules are actually much better overall. It'll only get better still as more source material is released, including the old PHB classes that they're currently missing. Personally, I'm looking forward to Bard most of all.

Well, it's hard to make things EXACTLY like you want them to look, particularly if you're trying to create something that already exists, but....  I might make a Spore version of Peter Gryphon, since he's just fat and round enough that it might work.
