"Act like your father? You don't even know your father, how do you know how he acts?" Oh that was a good one. Drow socitey was simply, Llothian Drow anyway. If you knew your father you were lucky...because you could kill the b*****d for giving you life and giving you to hell's and Lloth's waiting arms. If his mother hadn't of killed his father when he was still young, he would of done it himself.

"Welcome to life and rules. I don't care if you want to reverie longer, you're not going to so long as you have lessons with me. Perhaps you should just slip into them earlier." A hard look at her, practically staring her down even if she wasn't looking at him. He was about to say forget it and let her go off.

Well he had her there. She knew her father had given her his eyes which had sucked for her but made it a bit easier to narrow down who he might be. "Life sucks, go kill yourself or live with it kind of thing?" She sighed and returned her gaze to teh book in front of her. He wasn't going to let her go until she finished her studying for the day and it was fairly obvious that she was not in the best of moods. It might be a good idea to give him what he wanted and just sit there quietly. After all when she finished she could always go back and reverie.

He blinked. Well well the fight seemed to be out of her now...good. He didn't care to deal with it. With a sigh he ran a hand through his hair and once again picked up books from the floor, stacking them neatly on the table before returnin to his own end of the table and idly watching her a moment before he took to his scribblings again.

This was goign to be hell if her mood was like this everyday. She'd eventually get used to taking leave from reverie sooner or later. Hopefully sooner though. Besides, she didn't have too much study time left, what with arguing taking up most of it.

She was still sullen, still unhappy but she chose to keep her mouth shut as she didn't want to talk to Sevilin and it was fairly obvious Sevilin had felt like he'd heard enough from her. Ironically enough that should make her want to continue talking and yelling at him but she no longer felt like it. So she actually applied herself to her stuides and added more runes to the steady growing repetoire she had thus far.

Malik only shook his head.

"in pain. and a lot of it. even my endurance doesn't cover trying to move while the muscles in your legs aren't fully attached in all the right places."

He slumped down in a chair, leanign on the wall.

"A few more days, that's all. and then we'll see some real fireworks."

A slight grin.

"She's putting up a fight, but I know that look. I know the mood swings. It's going to be very interesting. and Ramoth of course would. she's the leader of her herd. seeing it grow would please anyone."

Well..he was right...and what was this about his legs? hell that means no rides. boy, her lucky day. no saddles and armor for a bit. and yes she was still pissy about that little stunt he pulled in the Liches territory. she was not a damn portalble matchstick.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 18, 2006 12:27 am

He looked down the table. "You're done." Yup she was done, he was done, he frankly didn't want to look at her anymore and didn't want to within two feet of her. Those mood swings were the gates opening to much more...unpleasnt, at least to him...things. Yup, he'd be watching his back here really close really soon.

"And I'm the one telling you to simply go rest but of course you're not listening to me on the issue so I'm not going to say it at all to begin with." Though she just had, hadn't she? Then a blink over to him as she shooed off foals from her and stood, one finger hooking under her bandana and giving a tug. Yeah ears weren't happy...purpose for self inflicted pain? To distract her mind from Malik's own. "Are you talking about Zahara again? I swear you take some preverse fun from watchign thsoe two fight and what not. Though she can rip into him for all I care. Would do his attitude good and keeps her hands off of you."

Lunar Dawn

PostPosted: Sat Mar 18, 2006 8:08 am

Moonstone snorted. "Of all things, i would want less buisness, because it would mean people are healthy." He thought about that for a moment. "Or already dead, but I would prefer the former."

The cleaning was going steadily, everything was slowy begining to shine, the room brightening. Still alot to do though.

While the problem of the Lich seemed to be now non-existant, each city found itself with it's own problems, as usually. Deep Water found several things were starting to take control. Guilds had sprung up, seemingly out of no-where, each having a head and that had having subordinates. Soon, all activity was being made under a guild. If you wanted to sell fruit, you had better be the vendors guild, or you were quickly put out of buisness. What was this? A Crimson Gaurd Guild? That's right, if you wanted to become part of the gaurd, you now had a long task ahead of you. And if you didn't know someone already in it, your path was much harder.

King Jiscal had this problem, as he was steadily losing power over his own city, as well as a growing religion problem. When religion took hold of a city, people soon looked to spiritual leaders as figure heads, as law...that created problems. Perhaps the only good thing for Deep water thus far was it's new bonds with the newling town of Honoursfield.

Gerard was not so happy with such an alliance. He had no choice, because it provided for his people a measure of safety, a little something to relay on should trouble rear it's ugly head. yet, it had meant that he had to give up the most important thing to him. Usha, his little sister, was now in the Deep Water palace, living there as a peace offering. Usha had agreed to go, strangly without much fighting, but Honoursfeild missed her. She had been a regular face here; helping where she could, the type of innocent who captured everyone hearts.

The necromancewrs who had brought back Laudi would not find her an interesting test subject. She had become a husk, her body had no mind inside it. Her heart beat, she was living, but her head made no attempt to move that body, to think, to speak. She was a vegitable. Her mind had been destroyed by whatever it was the man with glasses had done to her. Tahru seemed to have escaped such torture, only because of her size. Still her body was mutilated, now covered in numarous scars, and she refused to speak of anything. Probing her mind would find that she had shut out her memories of her time in the Corn Fields, and no amount of proding or magic could make her revisit them.

Din walked along the shore where not long ago, a sick woman and her child had been taken aborde an elvin ship. An odd smile creeped across his face, and he continued to walk.

Could it really be true? Would she finally be able to get a night of sleep? The rumors of the Lich's defeate had spread quickly, even to the Oracle's ears. Her body seemed numb, with fright, with reliefe, she wasn't sure. Perhaps it was both. Relife that the Lich was gone, firhgt that it was not true. She had never been so unsure of herself. This unease, so forgien, was frightening in itself. She sat on the edge of her bed, in a nightgown she had removed and replaced several times already, debating with herself, trying to force hrself to finaly relax and get some much needed sleep.

Tanundra had wrapped his massive form around the base of the new castle, determined to protected his mistress, even if he were not allowed inside. This worried him, since he and Meilikki had been together since the woman was five. He couldn't have her lose faith in him...for his own sanity. A smell on the underground winds wafted through his nostrals, something familiar. But he couldn't palce it.

Oh good, she was done. "Gee thanks." Yes sarcasm seemed to be her best friend today. She just wanted to be left alone and no one seemed to want to leave her alone. Shaking her head she picked up the books and walked upstairs tossing them onto the floor. They could get ruined for all she cared because at this point, she just didn't. Sighing she dressed and then flopped on her bed. She thought about going to see the Zephmares, they always cheered her up but thinking about it and doing it were two very different things. She was afraid that this wasn't her lack of reverie but the appearance of something very different and that would mean that she'd snap at them and yell at anyone who crossed paths with her. It might just be better to stay in her room. Though she did head outside to just peek at them and got quite a surprise when she saw new little ones hanging out...and Malik. "Oh by Lloth. Where did you get those?" Excitement washed through her until the last strains of the conversation reached her ears. Then her eyes narrowed, "You're talking about me?! How dare you Piper. You're supposed to be my friend!" Oh great, now she was blowing up again.

Ah blessed silence. No noise except the random goings ons of slaves, his own breathing and Nym's chittering. Hm what to do now, he could stay here or go home. Oddly enough he found the idea of staying her appealing...to snoop and learn the layout of the place better if anything. "Come on Nym, let's familiarize a bit more, maybe lay a few more runes to this place." Thus to wandering.

Piper turned a smile to Zahara she the drow decided to come out as well. Seemed Sevilin had finally let her go. "My father gave them to me." Wedding presents were fun weren't they? Though that happy was quickly gone as then an accusation was flung at her. Now what was that all about? "I'm not talking about you perse, I'm talking about your...situation...with the dark skinned Jackass." Nope, still didn't like him anymore than she did earlier.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 18, 2006 11:40 am

"And you think that's any better Piper?! Well let me let you in on a little secret, it's not! I don't want to be talked about by you or any other a*****e here. I'm so sick and tired of everyone bitching about my fighting with Sevilin. If it pisses you off that much kick my a** out or fire him!" Why was she screaming at Piper? No reason really, just the tiniest things set her off right now. And she knew better. Lloth she knew better. Of course she came forward and cut her eyes at Piper then reached into her pocket and pulled out sugar for the Zephmares as well as the new additions Serino and Nightmare if she wanted some.

Piper blinked. Okay whoa now...why was she the one getting screamed at her? She didn't do anything wrong, it was those three that were being the headaches of late, not her. Triple colored eyes narrowed. Despite appearances, she wasn't all sugar and spice today either...pained ears would turn an elf's mood sour easy enough and she crossed her arms. "Don't get all bitchy with me because you're having a bad day. And I don't b***h about you fighting with Jackass, I'm on your side about that. Or at least I thought I was before you just kicked me out of the boat to flail in the water on my own. Stop being such damned drow." You know it was odd and convient that drow could be used as an insult.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 18, 2006 11:55 am

"I never asked you to be in the damn boat. I didn't even know there was a stupid boat! Contrary to what everyone thinks Zahara doesn't need help. She's doing jsut fine on her own and she would without all the continous concern about her. I don't need and I sure as hell don't want it so don't you dare get pissy with me when I simply tell you the truth. I take offense when I'm being talked about because it doesnt' sit well with me. You don't like it, get over it!" This day was just getting worse and worse and worse. Zahara threw the sugar into the general area where the younger horses were and crossed her arms. "I don't have to deal with this today."

Piper rolled her eyes. "Figures you'd be like that, that's just like the drow isn't it? You don't need any help and you don't need anyone, and of course your paranoia and delusions when it comes to things. Who said I was giving you any help on the matter anyway? You're the one that's making up stuff." She was...ragging on drow? Well that was a new one for her, but she couldn't help it. In her mind there were Mori'quessir and Tel'gothrim. The drow that were respected adn then the drow that were less than favorable. Zahara was being the latter at the moment. "And I'm pissy because you're yelling at me. I should be yelling at you for the way you talk about Malik around me. Wouldn't that be fair now?" Oh look, nerves.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 18, 2006 12:07 pm

Malik glanced at Piper, adn back to Zahara. this might get a bit interesting. however, power was power, and if push comes to shove he had the advantage to keep a hormonal Zahara in check.

"I don't care about your fighting. it doesn't bother me at all. as for Piper, she hates Sevilin about as much as you do. But this is what you're task is, like it or not. don't want to do it? going to make such a fuss? fine. I got ways to handle that as well. Lloth isn't the only dark diety that enjoys sacrifice."

Then necromancers paid little mind to the fairy beyond the oringal tests, so she had shut herself down, not surprising. but doing more tests woudl simply not yeild anything of concequence. Laudi, on the other hand, was a different story. So into new books and studies. Coercer and Illusionist studies. particularly coercer. playing the game in the mind itself. if they couldn't undo the damage, they could, more than likely, remold her into something more..pleasurable for themselves. though Malik might not approve, which is why they were keeping those studies a secret.

How coudl they do that, with Malik's use of Malvolence? experiment on themselves in that area.

Onyx smirked lightly.

"You are far to benevolent. life and death are just two halves of the whole. for your buisness to work, you need the sickly and the injured. there will always be sickly. but injured..that's what I do. I have scores to settle. and I will settle them."

First and foremost, Onyx held grudges. and that ment the guard at the tournament, and his friends. and of course he wasn't overly fond of Warhammer, still lickign his wounded pride, so to speak.

"Oh don't give me that drow are the big meanies of teh world crap. That's all surface elf stuff anyway. You haven't even seen real Drow Piper so shut your mouth about it." She glared at Malik, "I told you in the beginning that I didn't want to do it. But could anybody listen to me? No, instead we are forcing me to do things I don't want to do. Dammit. Sacrifice. THat's a laugh. Go ahead Malik I dare you." She shook her head. "By Lloth I don't have time for this. Or either of you. You're just giving me a headache." And she turned around and walked back inside. Of course a moment later she was screaming at one of the slaves who'd accidentally (he swore it was) brushed past her on her way up the stairs.
