The Machine [Open/Accepting]

"I mainly just make small meals for myself. Sometimes I stay in a secret location in order to be safe, so of course there's no one else there to do anything, so I just prepare whatever I have stored in that location" Damien explained. He wasn't going to give away where said secret location or locations was/were. While a few high officers knew about a place such as that, only Jian and the twins have had access, besides Damien himself.

"I'll just take your word for it." Shadow finally replied, eating the slice.

Damien slowly bit into his pizza and began chewing. He was reluctant to swallow, but figured there was no reason for Shadow to try and poison him. He seemed to be providing her with good business.

"Is something wrong? Do you not like this brand?" Shadow asked, wondering if he would admit that he was worried about her poisoning him.

"No, just thinking" Damien said. He then began chewing at his normal speed before swallowing and taking another bite.

"Ahh..." She muttered, stopping to look at the pizza in her hand. "What ore you thinking about?"

"Just...stuff" Damien said, "the twins and how hopefully they'll continue to recover quickly. How we can finally put this case to rest. Also, how you were able to get all this stuff when my forensics team didn't and how I should deal with them for being so inept."

"I got half the information from your forensics team. The other half was information they couldn't get a hold of for legal reasons. They needed a signature directly from you in order to get it. Of course, that paperwork probably hasn't even made it to you yet." She replied.

"I see. So you've been snooping around in private forensic files" Damien said, in a less impressed tone than he had been using before.

Shadow raised a brow as she looked at him. The first question that came to mind was 'is there a problem with that', but she already knew the answer was yes. She looked away and huffed. "See, this is why magicians never reveal their tricks."

"Well, I will thank you for your help, but I also can't deny that I'm a little peeved, well more than a little, that you were browsing around private government related documents. There's a reason why it's called 'private'," Damien said.

"Yes, but I already thought we clearly established that I do that sort of thing." She replied. "Besides, I thought you asking me to do work on this case was the same thing as being granted permission to look at such files. I mean, why would you withhold information from the person trying to help you?"

Damien thought for a brief moment. "Alright. Alright. I'll give you that. I suppose it's a good thing if you're able to get around the red tape and protocols" he commented, finishing up his slice of pizza.

Shadow nodded in agreement as she continued eating her slice of pizza. She was surprised Damien said such a thing, and in her mind she debated whether or not he was actually being serious or starting one of his ploys to get her off guard.

Damien took a napkin and wiped his face before taking another slice. "Well, this is certainly a weight off my shoulders. I'm sure the Chief General will be happy to hear about this as well" he said.
