Kashkin coughed, standing up on a chunk of the burning building as the smoke wafted into his eyes. There was fire everywhere, but thankfully he was on a portion of the roof that didn't collapse. He searched around for the bodies or ash of either Gabriel or Rogue, but he saw neither. His body was weakening, and his mind was beginning to fog up. He began to walk towards the edge of the building, his arm still bleeding profusely. He reached into his left hand pocket and pressed a button on a black device. It was the button pressed for emergency pick-ups, one that would quickly take him back to HQ.
Breathing heavily, he looked back at the flames, gritting his teeth. He gripped his fists tightly, growling at the pain, and took in a deep breath.
"Roooooooooooooogueeeeeeee!!"
Kashkin screamed at the top of his lungs, the sound reverberating off the glass windows on other buildings, rising above the flames and cackling explosions. His voice was strewn with rage from his body and soul, mixed with a dash of pain. He was beaten, this time, but he was not out. He would let her know he'd be back, and next time he would see her face to face.
This other man, Gabriel, who he had never met before, had the complete other half of his attention. When he got better, he was going to dig deep into the HQ files to try and find out everything he could about him. He was a darkness, a beast he thought only Lycans could take the shape of. A monster of darkness. How old was he? What were his full abilities? How long has he existed? What were his strengths and weaknesses? He was going to learn everything about this new enemy.
His vision finally faded, and he fell off the roof into a dumpster down below. It was there that he passed out until a car came by, picked him up, pulled him into it, and drove away.....

The fire department arrived and there were no remains of anyone on the roof. Another grouping of repairs. Its not like she didn't have the money. But, construction took too much time, no matter how fast modern technology made it.
She went to the floor yielding Alexz and knocked on the door, still not having fed properly, her own wounds closing far too slow. In the back of her mind she felt like someone was watching her, yet no one was there. The brush of another mind felt like Gabriel. He survived. Alexz, its me...

Was her name being called? Alexz couldn't be sure. She couldn't be sure of much of anything, especially her current state of being. She had drifted into some deep recess of her mind, which proved to be very difficult to resurface from.
As she reached out to the minds around her to evaluate her whereabouts, she noticed a change. She could sense pockets of consciousness, parts of the mind she could venture undetected. Before she had always walls that she was capable of breaking down, now she could see openings. Pushing herself to her limit earlier had certainly opened a new world for her.
Alexz suddenly became aware of a pounding. Was it the door? No. It was within her. She felt a rush, something stirring within her, embedding itself into her very being. It pulled her to consciousness and her eyes snapped open.
The animal within her quickly evaluated the situation. She was injured and hungry and there was a human less than 6 feet away from her. She reacted. He was pinned against the wall in milliseconds and drained in seconds. She was draining the bloodpacks before his body hit the floor.
A smile spread across her bloodstained lips as she felt her wounds heal. She could feel how different her body healed, now with the aid of the Void, but she was too hungry to care. She licked her lips as she finished off the last of the bloodpacks. What felt like hours to her had been minutes in actuality.
"You may come in." she spoke, her voice slightly hoarse.

Rogue felt the stirring of something, but it was not in any physical form that she felt it. She had let too much of herself go in fighting Veroen...too much of herself touched the void. She had been ignoring her hunger for a few hours now, the void following her like a shadow all evening after the exchange of blood with Veroen.
Damn Meredith.
Her wounds from the fight with first Meredith, then Veroen were still closing, but the blood had stopped and the skin was trying to stitch itself back together in the claw marks on her face, and the holes in her body.
Alexz's voice sounded strange. She opened the door slowly and looked to Alexz's back facing her, the corpse on the floor, the smell of blood ravenous in the room. Rogue felt her own beast at bay as her fangs elongated to their true state at the smell of blood. Her Sanguinarian ways could not always be suppressed but she was an Elder for her amount of control that she, a Sanguinarian could possess.
Alexz's aura had a deeper stain of darkness to it. She did not know how deep Alexz's encounter with the void had been, but she'd been sure it would be a staining one. After the diamond something had been torn from them...
With her fangs heavy in her mouth and not hiding her true nature, she spoke to Alexz without any facade. "How are you feeling."

Rogue's change was overwhelming as she entered the room. Alexz could feel heir newly introduced connections to the Void strengthening now that they were within close proximity with each other. It was all very knew to her, but felt completely natural.
Rogue's exhaustion was clear, in her voice as well as in her mind. Her protective barriers were significantly weaker than usual, and it only took a light tap to release the memories of what ensued after she had fallen. Alexz's mind was flooded so quickly that she staggered a bit. She saw how Rogue had saved her life and was overwhelmed.
The thought of turning around had crossed her mind for a millisecond before she was swallowed by her own shadow. As if she had possessed this ability her whole life, she appeared before Rogue in an instant, leaving a trail of darkness behind her. Several emotions flickered across her usually smooth face: concern for Rogue's condition, anger at the arrogant hunter who had just escaped, curiosity over the vampire Gabriel, and gratefulness.
Alexz's arms wrapped around Rogue, carefully as not hurt her. Such a warm embrace was unusual for such cold creatures, but she was capable of being human when called for.
"I am feeling extremely grateful. A thousand times thank you, Rogue."
She pulled away to evaluate Rogue's state of health, which wasn't good at all. A frown tugged at her brow as she examined the claw marks on her face. Her blood-stained hand lightly pushed the hair away from Rogue's face as she sighed.
"How are you feeling? Not well, I take it? I'm sorry."

"I.." was all Rogue said as Alexz hugged her. She felt a brush against her mind, but nothing intrusive. Alexz must have pulled the memories quietly from her mind.
"You were worth saving, Alexz." Rogue moved her head to the side as Alexz examined the claw marks from Meredith then looked her in the eye which can also be a dangerous thing in their species.
"I am not well...I've never felt quite like this before. And do not apologize to me...none of this is your fault. I would rather have you standing here before me than a pin cushioned corpse left in my office..."

Had she had the ability to cry, she would have at that moment for both her feelings of gratefulness and sadness. Seeing Rogue in such a state was a very rare occurance, it was disheartening.
"I hope you know I would've done the same for you." Alexz said, and truly meant it.
She wished she could heal the claw marks on Rogue's face by snapping her fingers; but all she could offer was her own blood, which probably wouldn't be very helpful considering she had barely been conscious for more than a few minutes. Alexz mentally suggested that Rogue take her wrist and drink from it, since such a question could not easily be phrased.
"Do you feel it it, too? This...darkness...a heaviness in the pit of your stomach? ...and had I been a more agile fighter, this situation could have easily been avoided..."
She'd have to work on that.

Rogue closed her eyes a long moment. She felt the void around them like she felt wind moving. It was almost like a static electricity. She was afraid of it more than she wanted to be, but she had seen so many lost to it.
"The thing is, I know you would have done the same and more for me."
She felt a picture of Alexz's wrist flash briefly in her mind, and she opened her eyes and looked down at it. Rogue's eyes flashed in an instant, the liquid green fire they often became, and she felt the bloodlust burn in her veins.
"Like a beast that has been caged for far too long..." A mental image of a violent beast flashed in her mind gnashing teeth. She closed her eyes abruptly, forcing her gaze from Alexz's wrist.
"And as for fighting, I could not have faced Veroen without a bargaining chip. The void wanted the only life in the room, more than it cared to take both of us. I felt its will when I released control..."

Losing oneself to the Void seemed inevitable, but there was no way Alexz was going to lose a battle like that so easily. She dwelled on the possibility of being able to control it, of being able to harness its power, but knew attempting to would be in vain. It would consume them all.
"You're not a beast, Rogue, you may if you wish." she said softly, turning her wrist towards her should she accept the offer.
"Speaking of the only life in the room, how is that arrogant twit? Did she leave here a bloody mess?"
It would've been better if she had not left at all, but leaving a bloodied mess was better than nothing.

Rogue smiled but knew the true beast within her...before knowing control she was a Sanguinarian vampire. And now the void beckoned. them all.
"She left in a more than bloody mess. You could smell the death waiting for her."
She returned her eyes to Alexz's wrist and gently lifted her hand. She bit gently letting the power roll over her tongue. Alexz was far more powerful than she would ever admit.

"Well done, hopefully that traitor boyfriend of hers finished her off on the ride home." Alexz said with a smirk, her eyes slightly darkening.
She had changed so drastically in the recent years, her manner of speaking being clear evidence of her transformation. The former Alexz didn't typically wish such fates on her enemies, but the present Alexz did so freely without remorse.
Her eyes shut as Rogue's fangs pierced her skin. With her blood went flashes of her memories, the most recent being her discovering she could stow herself away in the mind of another. Alexz probably could have kept her memories from Rogue, but she trusted her so much that it wasn't necessary to hide anything from her.

The memories flooded and flashed in waves. How complex her mind was, always seeing the minds of others so clearly and frequently. She tried to see beauty and hope a good portion of years she was not an Elder. Her baring came from wisdom as she held more compassion than any elder combined. Knowing Alexz had challenged Rogue's ability for compassion, and in some ways, she was much better for it.
Vampires and compassion. Who knew. Rogue would never name herself these things aloud as most of their species would see them as weak for doing so.
She could feel the stain of darkness. It made the blood sweeter somehow. A pang hit Rogue in the stomach and she bit harder, and drank faster momentarily, some deeper bloodlust making itself known to Rogue's conscious mind. The memories flooded of older times...
Rogue thrust the arm down quickly, turning around, licking her lips, and wiping her mouth. "I'm sorry..." She had not fed enough in the last several weeks, and Alexz had confronted her before Meredith and Veroen showed up about it. She had not been feeding the Sanquinarian monster within her and inside the pit of her stomach something was angry.
"I did not mean to take that much."

She suddenly realized how unfair it was that she could so easily access the memories of others while the only way for them to get into her mind was through her blood. Her wisdom, in part, came from the lessons she learned by examining the memories of those around her. Had it not been for her gift of telepathy, she wouldn't have retained an ounce of her human compassion. Perhaps, if given the chance, those around Alexz could learn as much as she had throughout the course of her long life by accessing her memories. And perhaps, they could know her as well as she knew all of them.
"You can search my memories more often, if you wish." she suggested.
The longer Rogue fed from her, the more Alexz began to search her mind to keep tabs on her control over her bloodlust. She knew how easy it was to succumb to the animal that resided within them all and she knew how important it was to make sure Rogue didn't lose control now. She trusted Rogue with her life, as evidenced earlier in the evening, and she didn't want to have to resort to physical violence to stop her should she lose control.
As she tuned in to Rogue's inner Sanguinarian, she felt her own pang of hunger return, her fangs elongating in response. When Rogue's fangs sunk deeper into her wrist, her own fangs sank into her bottom lip, filling her mouth with blood. She wondered for a moment if Rogue's blood had the same stain of darkness but pushed the thought out of her mind before she, too, lost a bit of control over herself.
"Don't apologize, you needed it," her eyes, dark now, opened, "Better me than a room full of people." she chuckled.

Wesker found the night club he overheard a few women talking about on there way home. When he arrived there was a car that went speeding by after throwing someone or something into their car. Wesker paid no mind though. He had heard two things about this night club. One was that it was the greatest night club in the city, and two that it was owned by one of the coven elders. When he actually arrived he saw flames on the roof as the fire trucks had arrived. The smell of blood was thick in the air."How come things always turn out to be a bad night?" Wesker stood in on the sidewalk as some firefighters tried to get him to move but were unable to. He simply ignored them and watched his surroundings carefully. He could smell the blood that wasn't human and could tell it was undead, but because of how much blood was in the air he could not make out the location."Figures I would miss some action tonight." he said under his breath.

"Yes, I suppose I did." She turned slowly, her eyes glowing green. "Your mind is a very beautiful place, Alexz. You know I feel that way, but I had to say it aloud. And your compassion keeps us alive, from drowning in our own blood rage."
Rogue pulled out a cigarette and lit it. "And yes, it seems a room of people is all that really sates anything anymore." She knew the bloodlust they felt now was not anything like the diamond. But there was a longing to inflict pain.
