Picking Up Stars Vice Captain

"Good job guys." She picked up the perfectly stirred bowl and poured it easily into the pan. Spreading it around so it sat in there evenly, she lifted the pan and stuck it in the already prepared oven using the paddle so she didn't burn herself. Then she turned and looked at the imps and clapped. "Very good. You won the game. And now you get your kisses." She picked Juan up and pressed her lips to his then dropped him back down and repeated with Jell ruffling both of their hair. "And now for the really fun game. All the ingredients previously used were still out and she added all sorts of things to it, including onions and chili peppers and hot sauce, things you'd never find in a cake. She got out a huge bowl and set that in front of them and hten said, "Now you two get to make your own cake. You can put whatever you want in it and you can be as messy and careless as you like. The only rule to this is game is no throwing things. Enjoy you two." And now the chaos would ensue. But she had one cake cooking that woud come out perfect so why not?

Malik grinned lightly.
"There's nothing you possess she can take away. personally, if she tried to touch me like that, I'd break her fingers. and her wrists. and do other things to her. horrible things."
leaning back against the headboard.
"What do you have planned for me today, since I am the patient and you are the resident nurse?"
Onyx shook his head.
"the laws of nature. the Balance. we are above humanity when it comes to the physical. it's a natural for us to be more sturdy, adn robust. what we trade in for it is that we don't have thier natural adaptation. extreme heat will kill us alot easier becuase of our fur and our size. we have to eat more, we need more to sustain ourselves.
and, the Vah immune system is not nearly as adaptable as a human one. we can both get teh same immunity, but Vah are hit harder and longer."

A raised eyebrow. "Oh really now? What if she drugged you to high heaven and back?" Okay...she had been thinking on this all too much now hadn't she? Well Malik put the idea in her head...he knew drow women knew thier fair share of potions and he had versed her in that knowledge. See, his fault. Though the other eyebrow raised at his proposed question. "We've been through this, I don't plan and when I happen to it's only semi-planning." Piper sighed...they needed to talk about them is what she wanted to bring up. What once were great plans for them seemed to be grinding down to a halt with all the tension of late, almost seeming forgotten. But she was passive...so she'd start small. "Malik are you even interested in having a wedding? I mean...it's just a ceremony really...just show and what not." A look to nothing in particular in the room as fingers came to idly play with her collar.

"Yes, I am. part of the 'paperwork demon' thing you mentioned was for that purpose. I have been looking into local areas for things such as chapels or opened protected groves. there are six different catering vendors from Deepwater interested in hosting the event. probably for the bragging rights to say they were there for teh first wedding of a drow they could possibly witness."
Then a small chuckle.
"Long ago, I thought the same thing. I've drugged myself up to high heaven many, many times. sometimes nearly to overdosing, for precisely that purpose. there's not much she'll be able to concoct that will affect me that much. and if there is, and I find out, she'll get worse than Kaden did."

She threw up her hands, motioning in that stop right there don't say anymore about it. "Don't tell me that I don't want to know that. Last thing I need to be paranoid about what you're possibly on or are all too used to." Piper shook her head at that, wrinkling her nose at the idea slightly. Yeah leave that one alone. She leaned her weight on her hands once more, elbows propped on her knees again. "Event is hardly the word. Events are meant for hundreds of people with a common ideal in place where they are going to enjoy themselves." When Malik wanted something, he liked to put effort into it...almost too much. "You know you don't have to make a big deal out of this."

"but it is a big deal. first, it's cross planar, and second...it's you and me. and elf of light and one of darkness. the opposing sides of the spectrum. by all logical reasoning, I should have stabbed you in teh back before you even saw me, or you should have bowed me down before I came within a hundred feet of you."
Of course, no more touching the drugging thing.
"That is why it is an event. not because I plan to invite all of deepwater or anything of that nature, but because of what it means to whom we are. the implications of a Tier'Dal and a Fier'Dal becoming one, a House unto themselves. it's akin to someone wanting to watch a dwarf shave his beard off. not becuase it's a big to do, but becuase it's something you woudl never imagine possible."

That made her give a melodic laugh. Sometimes he was so grand and didn't even know it. Or he did and didn't realize how nice that was sometimes. "Elves of the light and elves of the dark, never the twain shall meet." Well versed in that line by this point in time...and loved the way it was defied by thier example. A soft smile from her as triple colored eyes came to look at him. "I do suppose that bumps it up to event status." A moment of quiet. "You and me...against the world and all it's ideals. You against yours, me againt mine...and in essence, a bridge. I'm Iaur'Quessir through and through I suppose." Hm, suddenly being a bridge elf didn't seem so bad. Another little laugh. "Good Gods, should I fear for the birth of our first child then? I've never heard of a child born of the two before and I'm sure that would make one grand event by your terms."

"Of course it woudl be a grand event. It's our first child. isn't that enough for it to be a grand event for me?"
A small grin to her.
"Yes indeed, you are the bridge you were ment to be, your just not bridging to two races they intended. instead perhaps of simply wood and moon, you are bridging light and dark. 'good' and 'evil'."
A slight chuckle.
"Interesting idea when put that way. our children will truly be the 'gray' or 'neautral' path, won't they."

One of those small playful smiles from her. "I suppose so." See, now in his own distraction he was no where near as pissy or focused on the fact that she wasn't letting him do things like he wanted to be doing. Though she sobered a little, eyes taking the slightly distant look of one pondering into the furture. "Stuck in the gray area...elves of triple blood and of two different worlds. That's going to be one hell of a thing to explain...though I look forward to it." Indeed, a child of such standard, not only of a light elf and a dark elf but one with the blood of three sub races coursing through it's veins. Quite the little wonder. She could only hope that in knowing where and what they were, would only lessen the supposed 'signifigant burden' that others would put on the matter. Being a bridge was never easy, your family may of not expected much but everyone else did. But her eyes refocused in on Malik with a soft smile playing on her lips. "I just hope the path isn't too rocky and broken for them to follow down."

"All paths in the Underdark are rocky and broken. It's the nature of the world down here. Nature at her worst, survival of the fittest."
A small smirk.
"which is why humanity doesn't belong here. they are holding thier own, for now. but there are a thousand powers down here they could sweep them aside as eaisly as I could scatter a matchstick house."
A look over at her.
"But our children will be strong. I will promise you that. I won't let them be consumed by the dark and become like Zahara or Sevilin."
Drumming his fingers on his legs, nevermind the small shocks of pain from still healing muscle tears.

"They'll be stubborn if anything. Between you and me I wouldn't expect any less." Though she took on that thinking look. Zahara and Sevilin...they did seem different from the other drow she had met...but also the very definition of the race. They could just be so hateful and spiteful with the slightest whim. Then again that's how life raised them to be wasn't it? Malik was hateful in his own ways, but it didn't seem as the be all and end all that the others took it to be. "But you do have to admire those humans in some way, they are holding on. Much like surface elves in the Underdark, eh?" Another smile at him as she watched him for a moment. "And if you don't stop drumming those fingers I'm going to hack them off Malik D'Vinn."

The two imps melted under the kisses, laying on the floor in blissful heaps. But they blinked and looked more awake then ever when they were given a cornocopia of fod stuffs to work with. Within minutes, Jaun was forcing whole chili peppers down Jell's throat, while Jell stired together what looked like a split pee mash with chocolate chips.
The kitchen was no longer clean. They couldn't help themself, this 'no throwing' rule was almost behond their comprehension, so they got around it by chuking, tossing, lobbing, and attacking. They were careful though, not to get any on Star Flower.
"Tobasco sauce!"
"Cauliflower!"
"Cod liver oil!"
"What are these?"
"I have no idea. Does it taste good?"
"Not really?" Jells eyes were watering.
"Good! Thro...er...toss it in!"
Moonstone frowned. "Are you trying to talk me out of this? I know aobut the Vah immune system, and our physical structure. I've kept it in mind while setting this up, doing my research. I've decided to do this, no matter what you say."
"After all, i've finally found something I'm good at. And it isn't hunting. I'm not killing lives, I'm saving them."

"I never said I was trying to talk you out of it. only giving you warning as to what can happen. I take life, you give life. one fills the balance of the other. I just don't want to come down here to your funeral becuase you couldn't throw off something a human gave to you."
A slight grin.
"But if you insist on this, then by all means, go right ahead."
"What? gotta do somethign with my hands."
A slight smirk, and a more somber look.
"All roads in the underdark are rocky and broken. we'll just have to make sure that if they fall down, we are there to pick them up. To heal the wounds and to protect them from the enemies they are boudn to get for who they are."

"And those enemies will certinally have hell to pay now won't they." Though she watched him a moment. She had a few options open to her and was filtering through them. "Alright then how's this? You're going to need food. So I'll let you get up, walk yourself downstairs and get something to eat. Will that sate your...wanderlust, for a while?" A little giggle at that...the need for movement, wanderlust. Though she'd be watching him, one step out of line, one deviation and she'd bring the restraint back so fast it'd make his head spin.

"Deal."
And he got up, albeit painfully. damn torn leg muscles, and started stumbling his way toward teh door, one step at a time, slow but steady. hard even to walk when muscles weren't attached like they were supposed to be. down teh steps, one at a time, using the handrail. Slaves paid him no mind, acting as if nothing was wrong.
Of course, getting to the kitchen, and finding the mess...he wanted those imps skewered..deepfried, and fed to Nightmare on sticks like breaded corndogs.
