Veroen was a balanced individual. Being an Assassin of his caliber required many decades of training in agility, speed, reflexes, and instinct. This, mixed with his darkly perverted connection with the Void, was a deadly combination.
A sadistic grin swept across his face as he felt his sword contact with Alexz, or so he thought. In his delight, she lunged back at him with a dagger and a snarl.
Such recklessness. Was this the only thing the Vampire Elder could muster?
He slashed his sword again into the her as she charged him with the dagger. Odd. Something was not right.
He had little time to react when a crushing blow to his knee caused a surge of pain through his leg, along with a loud crack.
A scream of pain echoed out of his throat, ringing through the room.
The b***h had made a clone?
His form quickly melted into the ground before her other kick could sweep him off his feet, merging with the darkness, physically disappearing, while still letting out his scream.
The scream still echoed through the room, even though his physical form was melted into nothingness.
However, after a moment, the scream melted into maniacal, dark laughter ringing through the air.
Then a more dark, and malevolent voice spoke through the laughter.
"FOOLS!" the voice yelled, as Veroen's form manifested itself again.
He was knelt over, with his leg bent in a way that was unnatural, clearly from the blow that Alexz dealt to him.
Then he grunted as he reached down, and snapped his leg back into place. The dark designs carved into his flesh emitted black steam as the flesh around his leg sizzled. Void strands ran underneath his flesh, melting his bones back into the form they once had.
This took little more than a second.
He did not waste any time.
His form quickly dissolved into shadow once more as he drew his two specialized handguns filled with UV ammunition.
A ring of gunfire was heard, followed by UV bullets cutting through the air towards Alexz clone, and towards the area that the powerful kick had come from.
It seemed as though the bullets were shot from nothing, but it was clear that they were real, and and could do damage. Alexz would have to step it up a notch to avoid the small hail of bullets, seeing as they seemed to have no starting point, only appearing out of the Void from several spots in the air.
Then two figures rose from the ground, each identical to the other.
So she wanted to play the clone game, eh? Veroen was more than capable of using the Void to do so.
The two figures laughed simultaneously in an evil manner as they both drew swords, watching as the bullets soar through the air, watching to see if Alexz could dodge them.

The crack Veroen's leg made as Alexz's kick connected would have been sickening if she had not been exposed to more cruel forms of punishment. She felt no remorse as he crumpled to the floor in pain. She was then reminded of a similar situation at the Docks when her leg had been so cruelly crippled by her trusted friend. The memory only angered her even more.
After rising from her place on the floor she became aware of a hail of bullets. UV Bullets? Was he insane?
Her clone snarled savagely, since she could not without revealing her position. She reacted as quickly as possible, reflecting a portion of the bullets in the direction of Veroen's clones, careful to keep them far from Rogue. Those that were not headed in her direction shattered the glass behind her.
However, Alexz was not quick enough to avoid them all. She managed to coat the two bullets that plunged into her shoulder and abdomen with a layer of silver that would keep them from releasing their deadly UV. Her fangs sunk into her bottom lip to keep herself from crying out.
The spot the second bullet had hit had been the precise location of the diamond only months before. Her eyes darkened and she reached within herself to remove the bullets.
Several drops of her silver tinted blood had dripped onto the carpet and she moved quickly to remove herself from that location. She teleported behind the two Veroens as her clone, hit by multiple bullets, cried out and crumpled to the ground. From its position, it removed two phantom daggers and sent them in the clones' direction as Alexz sent hers from behind.

The two figures simply stood there as all this happened. These clones in particular were but simple shadow figures, physical in appearance, but were about as physical as smoke. The phantom daggers simply passed through their forms, and they both bent their heads back and laughed simultaneously towards the ceiling.
He had lured her into revealing her position.
A black Void-tainted katana blade sliced through the air from the shadows next to Alexz, aimed at her abdomen, just as the clones had begun to laugh.
Veroen's figure became visible as he did this. His right hand was the one that had a grip on the katana blade, as it cut through the darkened air at Alexz. In his left hand, was one of his handguns. However, this time the UV bullets in its clip were tainted with darkness, resulting in them not being UV bullets, but UVoid bullets. A small ability he had learned in his time away from New York. The liquid within them was not liquid light, but liquid Void. Upon impact of the flesh, the void substance inside would poison an individual, resulting in varying effects, depending on the species of the individual being shot.
Veroen followed up on his attack with his darkened katana with a burst of three UVoid bullet shot with his left hand that held the tainted handgun.

Alexz could do one of two things, take the hit from the blade or from the bullets. She was extremely conflicted and had only but a moment to make her decision. Either way she was screwed, so she picked the katana.
She cried out as it plunged into her abdomen. Her eyes darkened fully as something within her expelled a wave of psionic energy erupted which shattering the blade, the bullets, and what was left of the window in the back. Shards of the blade fell to the floor, joined by a stream of her blood a moment later.
Her hand covered her wound while the other pulled her gun from its holster and unleashed a round of bullets in the direction of Veroen's other leg. These bullets were engineered by Alexz herself to travel extremely quickly, which was necessary in times like this. She replaced herself with an identical clone before the discarded clip hit the floor.
The moment the katana had pierced her skin, the other clone she had made had disappeared from sight. Her current clone swung her firearm at Veroen, which Alexz had taken the care to apply a bit of energy to in case it should connect. While this occurred, she released another round of bullets on him, from various locations in the room, before falling in an invisible heap behind a piece of furniture.
The wound on her abdomen burned fiercely and she was on the brink of losing all control and attacking Veroen without caution. However, she had, with the little sense she was capable of mustering at the moment, realized the importance of refraining from acting like a complete savage. Upon seeing the pool of blood that had dripped onto the carpet, she moved again.
Alexz removed her hand from her wound to find a darkened pit.
s**t.
She could feel the Void growing within her. She let out a shrieking scream before expelling all that she could from within her in Veroen's direction in the form of a beam of darkness. The spots within the room that the beam came into contact with deteriorated from the sheer force of her efforts.
After expelling as much as she was capable of, she gasped. Her illusion faded and she came into view, clutching the bar to keep herself from falling.
s**t. s**t. s**t. s**t.
Alexz's thoughts quickly became muddled with a mixture of panic and darkness. It was apparent that she was struggling to keep what was left of the Void within her under control.

((No worries my dear.))
Veroen was taken by surprise when a wave of psionic energy blasted through the room. It made him stumble back, and immediately sound from the club filled the room, for the window that overlooked the dance floor shattered into tiny pieces. His blade shattered as well. No mater. It had become one with the Void, and was never permanently broken. The shards of his katana melted into a black tar-like substance, and meshed together into a medium sized puddle of black substance, which then seeped into the ground, to be summoned later when Veroen wished.
Then bullets tore through his leg, and a few through his shoulder. He didn't have much time to react since the wave of psionic energy made him stumble backwards.
He caught himself on the wall behind him, and spat up black blood.
"You b***h-!" he coughed out, but then saw something potentially dangerous, and did not finish his sentence, but rather focused on melting into the nothingness of the void.
His instincts served him well, for merely a second later, a beam of dispelled energy hurled through the air at the position he was once at.
Oh, but Veroen now had a trick up his sleeve.
Veroen was connected to each and every part of the Void, and there was Void substance within Alexz.
A chuckle was heard from the air around Alexz, as Veroen began to manipulate the little remainder of the Void within Alexz abdomen.
The Void in her abdomen twisted, and expanded mercilessly, no doubt causing great pain within The Vampire Elder. At the same time, stands of the void entered her veins, and slowly began to move through her system of veins in her undead body.
"So Alexz. Tell me. How does it feel to slowly be torn apart from the inside out?" Veroen's voice followed up on his sentence with a loud ring of laughter.
The techno music blaring through the now exposed opening was somewhat fitting to the situation, as Veroen attempted tear Alexz apart from the inside out, while still melted into the shadows.

Alexz doubled over with an excruciating cry of pain as Veroen began to manipulate the Void, her nails scraping away the metal of the bar with ease. She could feel it pulsing, threatening to engulf every aspect of her being. She could see the darkness creep around her, threatening to cloud her vision. She was dangerously close to the edge.
She couldn't let herself be destroyed by this monster. She had come to far to be torn apart like this, in a fight that had been caused by those before her. There had to be a way out. She was not going to let herself become yet another victim of the Void. At least without a fight.
"Well..." she said through clenched teeth, "It feels...a bit...like..."
Alexz was unable to finish her sentence. She had mustered every bit of energy she had left and had utilized every ounce of it to separate herself from the monster growing within her. Her mouth filled with her own blood as she forced herself past her limit into a realm she had never ventured.
She had removed herself from her body, which slid from the bar to the ground, blood seeping from her eyes, mouth, and the wound on her abdomen. She had transported herself to different plane that she had never known to exist prior to this ********. Now what?
Ah! An idea.
Situating herself in a dark corner of Veroen's mind, she pulled on the Void, utilizing all of his energy. With a deafening boom, the Void rushed from her corpse. It filled the room in less than a second, snapping back to Veroen at the same time that she was pulled back into her body.
Alexz fell into a coma, her body at the mercy of the others in the room.

((lol Chill. you didn't do anything TOO ridiculous. Vampire Elder, remember? I'll work with what you got. Now if you were not a Psychic Vampire Elder, then I would say something. But no worries.))
Veroen's chuckles turned into malevolent laughter as he watched her bleed from various regions of her body.
Then as she fell, he felt something tug at the back of his mind. The b***h was doing something in his head? But before he had time to do something about it, as though he had commanded it himself, the Void within her withdrew back to him, and then the feeling of her in his mind ceased.
He was stunned that she could enter his mind when he blocked his mind with the Void. But, nonetheless, she was now defenseless, and by the looks of it, either unconscious, or in a coma.
His form manifested out of the air from swirling shadow, and he stood there, slightly bent over, from the bullet wounds, which quickly healed themselves.
After a moment he stood upright, and walked over to Alexz body. His face had no expression, but a hint of satisfaction was apparent on his face. He had waited for this moment for quite some time, ever since he had discovered the truth about his past. And now, here he was, with the opportunity to kill one of his enemies.
Everything else in the room was unimportant to him now. he paid no attention to Rogue, or Edith as they fought.
A black sliver of Void energy slid up from the ground, and manifested into his Katana at his side. After a moment, he drew his sword, and gripped it in a way so that he could stab Alexz body, and deal the final blow.
He held his sword above her defenseless body.
Oh how this moment was juicy to him.
He then lifted it a little, to get a bit more leverage before he would stab down into her body, and end the once thought immortal life of the Vampire Elder.
((I shall leave this as an opening for someone to react. lol))

(( Dude. I think Rogue and I need to play out our fight for a few posts and then react to what happened between V and Alexz otherwise it seems like they were sitting there against a wall the entire time while V and Alexz were having some epic battle. Aye? I'd post but I'm going to wait for Rogue. Hopefully we can get a few posts in. Rogue, if you're on and you post, PM me since I'm not always an attentive lurker.
Also: When we get to the whole scene should it be Eden or Rogue who saves Alexz?? Eden has way too much of a conscience so it's likely she might go to defend Alexz for Gawd knows why but if you want Rogue to save her then that's fine too. ))

A roar emulated from Rogue's lips as in mid kick, Meredith's claws gripped her ankle, and pulled Rogue in the momentum of her own kick. They both flew through the air towards the opposite wall, and Rogue was thrown to the ceiling like a rag doll.
"Oof!" Rogue's head smacked the ceiling bringing cracking the wood of the ceiling, a few pieces falling. Her ankle burned along with her head. She wondered for a millisecond if her skull was bleeding. She ignored the pain as Death Dealer training prompted her to do in the back of her mind.
Faster than any normal eye could see she pulled a silver knife from a hidden sheath on her back under her shirt and lunged at Meredith, jumping low to avoid slashing claws, aiming the blade at her chest.

(( If you've any issues, Rogue, you know the drill. ^^ ))
Meredith shook her head from side to side for a moment as she quickly recovered from smashing against the wall. Her vision had been blurred for a millisecond and that'd most likely been enough for Rogue to recover as well so Eden was quick to gain her composure and analyze the situation. Rogue had smashed into the ceiling as had been planned but the vampire was already coming at Meredith again, this time with a silver knife, not something Meredith was going to want to be slashed by if she could at all prevent it.
The lycan snarled as the gap between her and the vampire was quickly closed though not quickly enough so that Edith had been prevented from drawing her hand gun. However, as opposed to using the gun in the conventional sense, she used it first to deflect Rogue's slash at her and sent a powerful shove Rogue's way. As the elder stumbled back she then reached into her other holster for her second gun and released a round of UV clips. Eden had come prepared for vampire slaying, Rogue wasn't getting off that easily. Not to mention if Edith decided to shift it'd just end up becoming more of a hassle for the elder but she wasn't going to resort to that just yet.
If Rogue managed to escape from all the UV rounds unscathed it would be impressive, however, she was going to have to have an almost instant reaction and either dodge or reflect them. Eden had steam-lined them so that a simple dodge would get the elder no where and as her bullets closed in on Rogue so did Meredith. The hunter leader was serious about teaching the vampire elders a lesson. She wasn't going to be a push over and let the vampires do as they pleased and this had to be demonstrated through force. The hunters name had been marred and it was her job to renew it.
While it was Eden's tendency to worry about others and focus on their fights, in Veroen's case she knew he was the best person to have at her side and trust to handle himself. He would be doing the same and focusing on his fight as opposed to hers so she would focus on hers. He would expect her to put her full everything into taking Rogue down and though she'd gotten a few lucky hits in by no means was this wasn't over yet.

The knife was blocked from its desired target, but she did not drop the weapon in the deflection. She stepped back from the momentum of a shove by some feet, and in a flash, Meredith's gun was pointed at Rogue, far too close for comfort.
Dammit...Rogue muttered in her mind. She focused as quickly as she could on Meredith's hand as she squeezed off the rounds, focussing on her muscle reactions. She deflected three bullets by hitting them with the knife she held. Rogue dove to the side in a lunge so quick the common eye would have seen a blur. A bullet caught her left arm as she dodged the last few bullets, but exited the other side, blowing a hole clean through before the UV could lodge itself in her system. A feral growl erupted in the room. Regardless of its lodging in her system or not, a bullet was painful.
Rogue was getting closer and closer to her desk in the corner of the room. She threw the knife at Meredith suddenly, aiming at an arm, while drawing a second silver knife located beneath the first sheath on her back. Rogue leapt at the wall a few feet to the left, and used a foot to push off the wall in a steplike motion, aiming an arching powerful kick at Meredith's head with a silver tipped boot.

(( Sorry for the crappy post. Seems like everytime I get a minute on here my mother has to be on my back about it for no feckin' reason at all. ))
Eden hadn't really counted on the Death Dealer being able to deflect the UV bullets but seeing as none were deflected directly at her and even if they had been that it wouldn't matter to her unless they hit her eyes since she was a lycan. As for the dive to the side, Eden observed and waited for Rogue to issue her next move though the vampire seemed to be on the retreat. Not wanting to fall into some sort of trap but still not wanting to give Rogue too much space, Edith loosely pursued, giving Rogue her space so to say. If she got the elder nice and comfortable then perhaps she would get cocky and commit an error.
Just as Meredith suspected Rogue would jump behind the desk, a high frequency wave (Alexz's psionic wave) hit her ear drums full blast and caused her to cry out in pain and cover her ears, cringing. It was then that Eden registered Rogue flying toward her with a kick. She also registered a knife and realized she only had enough time to make a decision to avoid one and she chose to avoid Rogue's nasty silver knife that would have cut through her arm as if it were butter. Instead, the lycan took the blow to the head and unleashed a feral growl when the hit connected and sent her sprawling into the wall. However, she used the wall as a deflector and bounded straight back toward Rogue, claws at the ready.
