"Well I finally found someone who understands me and it only took me well 15 years."Amie said with a small chuckle as she smiled at Carolynne very happy to have met her. And as she though about Carolynne her thoughts trailed to the others who had helped fight the Venti."So whats your story?"

"I had a bad life, like most campers, but if you want to hear my story then you'll have to wait for the ending because it's still being written." She said to Amie then fixed up another camper before she looked around and found about three more campers left in the room, not including Amie, Emily, and her. "Pick an age between five to fourteen." Amie eyes were focused on Carolynne as she sat Indian style in the bed she had been sleeping in. Twisting the ring on her hand she thought about which age to pick it didn't take long as she wanted to hear the story from the beginning."I pick five."Amie said as she waited patiently for the story to begin.

She's been a huge alcoholic since I was about three but it got really bad around then. Then the abuse got worse and that was what pretty much what exploded my life with so much bad. I've been abused by my mom my whole life, if you're wondering." Carolynne added the last sentence to help clarify a bit and said all of it like it was nothing. She had told her story to people a lot and didn't really care about people knowing anymore.
To Carolynne, her life wasn't a sob story. It was a survivor story. She lived through so much and was still standing to that day, living a new life, with so much more then she would have ever imagined. "It must take a lot to survive through all that I don't know if I would have been able to though I think its worse not to know who your parents on you don't have someone to blame some one to truly love you like you should."Amie said though her tone wasn't said it was merely calm like she was just stating a fact."So what about age six?'Amie asked wondering if Carolynne would continue telling her story.

"During age six it was just getting worse so there isn't much there so I'll skip to age seven." Carolynne explained before she fixed up the rest of the campers and finished with everyone other injured person before she sat down on the bed next to Amie. "When I was six my mom brought home new boyfriends almost every week, sometimes they would last a bit longer, usually not though, and then by age seven they began to do the same exact thing my mom did. ✗ Amie LockeHeart ɗaughter of ℙersephonê✗  "Well I haven't dealt with abusive adults and parents but I have dealt with abusive kids."Amie said as she started getting up from the bed not wanting to hear the rest of Carolynne's story let as she wanted to hear it bit by bit over a period of time. Call her weird but she liked taking her time with stories there was no rush with them they would be told when they were told and that was the end of it. "Well anyways I want to check out the camp a bit on my own so I will see you soon also next time we hang out I want to hear more of your story."Amie said to Carolynne as she waved goodbye before disappearing out of the infirmary heading for only Zeus knew where, scratch that not even Zeus knew where she was going.

Carolynne nodded to Amie just as another random camper came in who was blooded up from sparring like a few others. She took care of the Demigod as carefully as she could before stretching and popping her back, looking around, then leaving the Big house. She had made sure Emily had been taken care of as well.

"Well, it depends on how you look at it." Jack said. "If you look at the nurses, helping the campers and them getting better, then its a nice place. If you think of how they hurt themselves, or someone else hurting them, them unfairly being injured, and sitting there in pain, then yeah, its a pretty bad place. Its like if the glass is half empty or half full. Except, unlike the glass of water, it actually matters." he added, deciding to add a little humor.

"Well, if you're hungry," Jack said, while getting a small thing of ambrosia and tossing it to her, "Then we can go get something to eat. Or at least you can." he added, not really hungry.

"Nah, it's okay. I just thought you were." She said as she got up, and absentmindedly began to pace slowly back and forth. Where were all the nurses around here, anyways? Not like I wanted to come here anyways. I only did it because Jack got worried about an infection...
