Ryvn hid high up in the trees, watching the ground near Ni'awtu's hut. He saw a patrol heading right towards it, the soldiers and one amp suit approaching it. His eyes narrowed, readying his weapon. He fired a shot at the AMP suit, hitting it right in the power pack and causing it to self destruct immediately. Ryvn moved to the next branch, hiding himself. He readied his rifle for another shot, aimed, and rid the group of the sargeant, killing two more with a silent aim. The others took shelter behind the fallen AMP suit, but that couldn't save them. Before long, they were all dead, Ryvn standing up on the branch, modified M110 in his hand, turning and running across the branches.

The two soldiers left were chasing Ryvn, who jumped to the ground and rolled, turning around and firing, getting one down and having the other fire at him from a distance. Ryvn took shelter behind a tree, then took one of the empty clips he had picked up, and got ready to throw it. However, it was then he saw Omocan. He sighed, keeping himself hidden behind the tree.

Ryvn ran to Omocan, chest shot. It was very unlikely that he would live from this wound. Ryvn cried, for the first time in a long time, Ryvn wept for someone other than his own family. He stood up, furious, taking his dagger and turning and running at the soldier, surprising him by thrusting it into his heart and wrenching it, dropping the man. Ryvn looked to the sky, his hands covered in the RDA soldier's blood. "How many more must die for this!?" He cried aloud, falling to his knees and dropping the dagger.

Ryvn's eyes were glazed over with sorrow and pain. The best bet was that he would never be the same. Ryvn walked back over to Omocan and knelt down. "Those RDA bastards.... they shot him... before I could save him or warn him." He said, crying...

Ryvn looked at her. "I know what it feels like. To lose everything you've had. My sister was that way to me, she was my last living family." He said to her softly. "I am sorry, Ni'awtu... I am sorry."

Ryvn looked at her. "When your own people hunt you, then you can talk about not understanding." He said softly. "Because they wanted me, Omocan died, because they wanted to see me dead..." He said softly. "I have no one to take comfort in, knowing that people are dying who have only been kind to me." He said, tears streaming down his face.

"My people did the same, and now they are trying to kill me. I cannot mend the past, but I can look to tomorrow." he said softly to her, his eyes meeting hers. There was sincerity in his eyes, a true understanding.

Ni'awtu looking at Ryvn's eyes and nodded softly as she gets up holding her son close to her body. As she walking back to the hut to tell Zha'ko what happen and prepare for the burial
