OMG! I totally understand sweetie. but you can't blame God. I know how hard it is to understand but there is a reason for everything. I know she had surgery for her back and that is what is causing her troubles but sometimes drs just don't know and do what they can to fix what is the easiest to fix. My daughter was walking but in terrible pain when she had her last hip surgery. since that surgery she is pretty much pain free but is now confined to a wheelchair - was it a fair trade? I really don't know. I hated seeing her in the physical pain but now we have the emotional pain of the chair. I know that this doesn't help as far as boldie is concerned but just trying to show some perspective. I continue to pray for boldie and hope that things will turn around for her. It would be so drastic not to mention tragic if she woke up paralyzed. I do hope she is keeping the drs informed of the numbness etc. Has she gotten a 2nd opinion? maybe a different dr can help her? Sending prayers not only for her but for you to help you be there for her. I'm glad that you are close enough to spend physical time with her. Hugs dear and please give her a gentle hug from me. Love you both.

boldie has degenerative disc disease with arthritis running down the length of her spine. Now, of course as you know... she has the bulging discs and her canal to her nerve roots is closing off. It is a very painful thing (site) I see her in. I hope to God that He helps her if it is His will. It just has to be, right? How can a God so omnipotent and so powerful "allow" one of His sheep to be in so much pain? I don't get it........ Suze_Sapphire angelbaskets Sending lots of prayers and hugs for both Alisa and boldie! I dont' know their actual diagnosis or even if they have one but hope all goes well. I check every day to see if anyone has posted and was glad to see you had Suze. I hope the group will get to posting again. Sending hugs to everyone! Hi ! Yes, boldie (my friend who lives just a few blocks from me) has degenerative disk disease, arthritis in her spine, she HAD a ruptured and bulging disk-that the first surgery took care of, and a nerve root canal that keeps closing, and that gives her an enormous amount of pain, because the nerves in her back, legs and feet keep getting pinched off, causing pain and numbness. She's already had 2 back surgeries to open up that nerve root canal. And since the 2nd surgery, the pain never went away, when it should have. So, she's got chronic lower lumbar pain. And I know she's had this since 2004. Yeah, 6 years now come July. Her sciatica is affected very much. I'm sure there's more to her back and all, I can get back with you, if you want. The picture here, she gave me, is after her 2nd surgery about a week afterwards. (p.s. yup--she did give me permission to use this anyway I wanted--the pic, I mean.) YUK.

Oh hey.... boldie had an MRI done on June 22nd. They found 2 bulging disks in her L3/L4 and L4/L5, and again her canal where her nerve roots flow through is closing up again. She said the doctor didn't seem too optimistic this time that surgery would keep it open. Afterall, the other two surgeries, they had to re-open that canal up. I know, nice bed-side manner. He said, well, then you just won't have the use of your legs anymore. Just like that-no remorse-no nothing. That T-totally bites the big one.

yikes that is such a wrong way of saying it! I have dealt with drs like that and refuse to deal with them again. When my daughter was 9 we took her to an orthopedist and he came in and said she needed hip surgery immediatly! He had never met her and never even bothered to say hi to her or anything. never went to him again - she did have surgery but it was over 2 years later.
Give boldie my love and I am sending more prayers her way!

I will........ She now has moved.... I don't know if I told you that. Her and her husband and dog (which is like their daughter, I swear! lol) moved to Pueblo, CO. She told me in a phone conversation just the other day that she was having problems finding a good doctor. Apparently, Colorado doctors do NOT believe in opiates. What a shame. I know..... She even told me she was willing to travel back to Tulsa to see her old doctor. I don't know how that would work--you know,.... carrying medicine over the state line and all. She'd fill the RX in OK, but, I don't know how that would work or if the doctor would see her well knowing she doesn't live anymore in Oklahoma. I'll wait and see when she calls me next.
Love to all and Soft HUGZ for everyone !!!!!!!!!

Hi guys ! Well, I finally got a hold of Ailsa. She gave me her password so I could manage her acct because she no longer has interest in Gaia. I "stepped" her down, and again, became the owner of this guild. I'm not quite sure what I can do for it. It's been dead for some time now.
Pain sure hasn't taken a vacation at any point. In fact, things have gotten worse. I have 5 bulging discs at last count, and the doctors are unwilling to remove them. Meanwhile, they are adding much pressure to my spinal cord. As Suze said, my canal is closing up once again. I'm sure, by now, it's totally closed up, but that's not right, because I can still walk somewhat. My Ma is sending me one of her extra walkers in July (hopefully).
How the heck is everyone else here? I'm so sorry to have let everyone down via this guild. I think there were quite a lot of faithful followers of Lara who was the former owner. I really did try. My heart was in it. Just not the exhaustion I kept and still feel every day. I apologize to everyone who reads this. Please forgive me for taking on something I had no business taking on.
My love to everyone......... Soft hugs, as well. Love XOXOXOXOXO -boldie

I had totally forgotten about the guild! I am so very sorry! Hopefully we can get things going again. I just got over walking pneumonia that lasted over a month, daughter has been sick, hubby had minor surgery so things have been crazy. Now we are getting ready for him to start a new level of treatment for his Hep C. this is pretty much his last chance at a cure so we are definitely needing prayers on this one. Sorry to hear about your back troubles Boldie. Hope you can find some relief. Sending gentle hugs and lots of prayers your way. heart
