Ren who had been staring at the cat for a while but had turned to watch what was going on when Dani started crying had decided to follow Spencer and Dani to get some ice cream. Now he saw them walking with ice cream. He had only heard from Spencers last sentence to Dani's reply. "So you went to get ice cream and didn't even invite me?" Ren said smiling. "I'm surprised the ice cream store is open this early. But anyway a little birdie told me that tomorrow is your first day of school is that right? Well today Is my last day, Kito's too." Ren said with a smile. Then he realised. Oops. Her dad wouldn't be in school. Would he? He thought frowning.
(Sorry I've been really busy with my new rank of vice captain for this new guild.)

"I know you're not a soul warrior. I was just saying that its your first day of school. Normal school. And its me and Kito's last day of school. Except ours is Soul warrior school. But despite the purposes of the two, they both teach normal subjects like math and stuff." Ren said smiling and crouching down next to Dani. He purposely paid no attention to Spencer. Just to make him mad. Ren decided to wait a little before bringing the subject of the secret up.

Ren gulped. What was up with this kid? How was she so young yet knew all about stuff like that. "Uh...well...ya see..." Ren began trying to think of a way to say no but make it sound kind of like yes without saying that he wasn't her dad.

Ren made a face. "Well um...you know Alanna right? Well right now I'm, uh...with...Alanna. So right now I'm, well...not able to...cheer mommy up." Ren said trying to make it as easily put as he could think of. He had a handkerchief ready if there were gonna be tears.

Ren was furious. But all his anger was towards Spencer and anything Dani said would make him angrier at Spencer instead of her. "Well then, how come Spencer is always missing in action when it counts." Ren said trying to control the huge vein in his forehead.
