Mari jumped and opened her eyes. "What's going on?! What's wrong?!" She looked up at Raine and was too tired to piece together why she was scared.

smash woke up with a start and looked at raine. raine buried her face in her chest and sobbed loudly. "please be ok! please be ok mommy!"

Mari hugged her and rubbed her back a bit. "Raine, I'm fine! Calm down!" She used her other hand to rub her eyes and try to wake herself up.

smash rubbed her head and tried to calm her down as well. "it's ok now raine. everything is fine." raine looked up into her eye and tears flowed from her eyes. "i'm sorry mommy! it's my fault you got hurt! i'm so sorry!"

Mari just rubbed her back some more and ran her fingers through her hair. "It's okay. I'm fine. I'm not hurt. Just calm down and rest."

she kept crying and clung to her tightly. smash held her as well and rubbed her head. she couldn't calm down cause she was so close to losing her mother. "i'm sorry for yelling at you... i didn't mean to get so mad... you didn't deserve it..."

Mari kissed the top of her head and continued to rub her back. "It's okay, hunni. Mommy loves you no matter what. Even when you do yell. It doesn't make me happy, but I still love you."

she nuzzled her and sniffed a bit. she kept crying as smash played with her hair. "it's alright raine. everyone's fine. daddy loves you too." raine was stil shaking a bit as she clung to her mother. "i was so scared... i thought you was gonna die..."

Mari kept ahold of her and just smiled. "Well, I didn't. I'm still here. Gonna take more than that to get rid of me." She rubbed her back some more and even patted it a bit.

she sniffed and then looked over at smash and hugged him. "you stoped her right? just like always right daddy?" smash didn't speak at once. he wasn't sure what to say to this.

he just held her and gav a small smile. "daddy did everything he could but she still got away. i don't think she'll be comeing back any time soon though." raine was a bit confused but just smiled a bit. "ok daddy..."

Mari was playing with her hair while Matt was holding her. She figured it was best to explain it that way for now, but she knew that they would have to tell her sometime soon.

what he told her wasn't a lie but he would let her know the real truth soon. he didn't want to upset her any more after what she been through. he kissed her cheek and raine smiled. she was stil crying a little and sniffed. "i love you mommy. i love you daddy.."

"We love you too." Mari layed on her side, facing towards Matt and Raine. She gave a sigh and rubbed her eyes. She was still a bit tired.
