People grow out of things. He just simply had more and more time between logins, then decided one day to say "you know, i'm giving my stuff away and just simply leaving, instead of clinging to a lost hope".

Until the MSU gets a new lab, a friend of mine at another place I frequent and who I've helped out with technical stuff in-world, is letting me use some space in their sim to work on things.
So, at least now I can do some small-scale work and get a little ahead for when we get the next lab setup in the future.
